tried your method on riders republic on steam. it didnt have any luck. it seems the game still struggles with the uplay, even i changed the .vdl settings😢
Thanks so much for the support of steam deck information to fix issues that shouldn’t be all the time. I love u channel great videos that’s so helpful.
It didnt' work for me and now the ubisoft launcher won't open and it tells me to re-install the game. Did that, still wont open, tryed reverting the beta on proton experimental to none...still no luck. Any suggestions on how to fix this or just even bring it back to how it was would be highly appreciated
@@Darkuni Seems the guides are a bit spread out between multiple videos for the Ubisoft games. I know it's a lot of work but an ultimate guide with timestamps/chapters would be lifesaving for a lot of people(trust me, I tried several guides already to get the Ubisoft launcher working & install Assassin's creed games but I couldn't get anything running so I gave up after a few weeks). Steps to install the Ubisoft launcher, install any Assassin's creed and add it to Steam as non-steam game, and necessary Proton configuration to get the game running would be epic.
@@frankhuurman3955 I hear you. My biggest issue is that things change so frequently... Harder to keep a single video up to date. The written format does have advantage there...
Does this fix the memory leaks or is this just to get it launched? Launching is not even a remote problem for me... It's the crashes that come after launching due to the ever-increasing ram usage that are causing my problems... And yes I have disabled the overlay
@@Darkuni I did try cryoutilities... It just delays the inevitable. From my research on it, its an incredibly common problem with all Ubisoft games. You'll see RAM usage go up but never release. The supposed to fix was to disable the Ubisoft Connect overlay... Once again, all that does is delay the inevitable.
@@Darkuni I tried changing it to 1400 and still nothing and I’ve checked so many videos but nothing seems to work ima try again changing the mtu to see if it works , I’m trying to play AC Origins and when it loads up it goes straight to UPlay and then I log in and it says “Connection Lost”
You know I thought about that initially but then I also thought you know depreciated means that there's still some value in it it's just old. Deprecated means it's been replaced. So I'm going to stick with depreciated because that's really what I mean.
The Ubisoft DRM doesn't work on Steamdeck OLED, there is always an issue with signing in to to play. It's such a joke, why don't they do this on Xbox and Playstation? Why are game developers only doing this on PC? This is a joke, can't even enjoy a game I bought on Steam because of all the DRM's
Are you running Steam purchased games? Or "stand alone" Ubisoft Connect? I can say that, while it still sucks, the Steam copies are a bit more robust and stable.

I would DELETE PROTON FILES and rerun. Should "start fresh" ... No forced compatibility.
This fixed my issue of no game launcher working
Trying to do this for splinter cell and it worked yippie
That work for Ghost Pf Tsushima ! thank you so much ❤️
Could you do a video on assassin's Creed unity on steam deck I can't seem to get it to work it keeps going to you playing sing servers are not online
Already done. Search my channel for FIX UNO ... same process fixes all the "old ass launcher" games. Unity and Uno are two examples. Lots more.

I haven't seen this behavior. You could try CryoUtilities. It has helped crashes with other large scale open world games...

@@TheShadowBrigade so weird. I used to play HZD for hours at a time without any issue...
@@Darkuni Uhhh... You are aware that Ubisoft doesn't make Horizon right?
@@TheShadowBrigade sorry. AC:V. All these open world games start to feel the same after a while lol
For me when I try logging in it says connection error
You might need the MTU fix. Google "Ubisoft MTU fix".

@@reyluzunaris4506 I would watch my recent Ghost Recon video. Try that.
@@Darkuni okay I’ll watch it literally rn and hopefully it works thnx
Well i can run Ghost Recon just fine but RS6 Siege wont start
games crash the same, origins and syndicate after few minutes or even few seconds
Try this...ua-cam.com/video/1Lw7SwgnGZQ/v-deo.html
Thx homie god bless ya
Liked and subbed this fix worked for assassin’s creed unity
🙏
Can you play offline with this?
No but I cover it in another video.
Not work
I think you meant to say "Deprecated"
I hope it works for the syndicate
Syndicate works. I have it installed currently.
