Used to LOVE BMX Plus. Things evolve. Wen i was riding in the late 90's and eraly 2000's i used to always think that if i had gone back in time ten years i would have been the MAN. These kids blow m mind.,
Yes I hear where you coming from I had that magazine as a monthly from the local newsagent in Scotland UK, real BMX enthusiasts where we from back then. High light of my month would be Mike Dominguez huge Alley Ooop air that was unheard of or Mike Miranda pulling insane trick tutorials......We learned it all from these guys...Met seen them all but I watch this, and while I understand what your saying about progression I don't like it..............Huge tricks yes mega flips or just massive air yes I am onboard...all this flips and bar spins though are not really doing it for me although its amazing............The old school rider who comes out and just executes a perfect Judge and then say a perfect Andy Patterson crossed up totally flat table top would blow my mind. That was my two tricks in the bag I never went for 360 ever.......Im 50 wont happen now hahahahaha but my retro build PK and Skyway graphites is a great kerb hopper round the village now.
Just watched the 2003 highlights...way smaller jumps, double tailwhips, Ryan Nyquist, Allen cook. Fn legends throwing down the best they could. Crazy progression.

Hiw did Logan's second run put him in first place tho????? These x games judges don't really know what they're looking at. They need real retired bmx riders judging like lavin nastazio nyquist ECT. Oh, and by the way #standwithscotty

I agree, the only thing that saved them was Martin's 3rd run was crazy good. No way his 2nd run deserved 1st. Rim was better than him at park too. Sometimes the judges just want what they want.

poor ben wallace that triple downside was amazing, he wouldnt have been that pumped about a double cmon guys lol, did the judges think it was double too? his score was way too low.
Yeah he got totally robbed that was one of the best runs in my opinion

720s, no hander and barspins are better than double whip flip, cash roll, triple whips and double flips, lmao.
Carlos Eduardo Nba imo a 720 isn’t nearly impressive as a double backflip tail whip come on man be realistic. Even a double tail whip backflip is more impressive then a 720 bar imo. Flip whips are boring but two whips in a flip on dirt is quite impressive my dude.
Ben Wallace got ridiculous score for his 2nd run. He should've got at least 90 points, best style as well, 3 oppo x-up lookback was mint
I agree, I think the judges assumed it was a double downy, not a triple because it was so fast and clean.

Godziek's 3rd run was a sketchfest. What a legend, he could have pulled up after any of those jumps and no one would have balked.
I was quite surprised about the score of logan martin his second run, had expected no more than a 3rd place score, but this was way too high. His 3rd run on the other hand was really good, but compared to Loupos and Godziek the difference in score was just too big!
I'm so glad x games brought back dirt, previous years have been lacking

I was a 70s baby,growing up we built quarter pipes,our friend had a half pipe in his yard with way to much vert.we did basic and some semi advanced tricks,to see where the sport is now is amazing. I remember when a single back flip was landed,it was a big deal.these guys are so good it's ridiculous.i would of never thought it would be like this.we got kicked out of just about everywhere for riding our bikes and boards

It's mind-blowing how far this sport has progressed. Ten years ago any of these runs would be scored in the 98-100 range- easy gold.
These guys are getting scored stingy upper 70s to barely into the low 90s for crazy, cleanly executed runs.

I feel like when I first get on a bike I can do my best within the next 25 mins. After that I start slipping. For some reason my tail whips look cleaner.

I think that in these kinds of competitions more protection should be worn like in the 90s 2000s when mat hoffman or denis macoy competed etc etc because they were dressed as if they were on the street in a competition as risky as this.
