I’ve gotten close to 12 hours with the 14 plus, it’s a beast
I have never been very picky about battery life since I watch videos mostly on pc and I dont exceed more than 4 hours of screen usage per day, but I am so glad I got myself a 14 plus, having such a performing phone last 2 days is insane

I have to admit that Apple is teaching Samsung - as an example - how to produce flagship phones with decent battery. On the other hand, samsung reached apple camera quality, but forgot to give autonomy on their flagships S22*
Simple it depends on TDP, all apple chipsets are 6w TDP, samsung flagships are 10w TDP

@@dielreis it's power consumption, like Desktop PCs consume 100-120watts of power whereas laptops consume 45-60watts of power, to keep the phone alive the Apples's bionicchip consumes 6watts per second of power whereas all the 8- series Snapdragon chips consumes 10watts per second of power to phone, to explain differently
similar to milage in cars, say iPhones use 6 gallons to travel 10miles whereas Snapdragon flagship 8 series based chips starting from 825,845,865,870,888, 8 GEN 1, 8+ gen 1 all consume 10gallons to travel 10miles which is why idle drain in iphones is less and all Snapdragon flagships of all leading phones come with more than 4500mAh battery capacity
@@rrr-pc6rm wow, nice! I have the power consuption on standby and in use, but I didn´t know about phone numbers! Yes, its visible that iphones since 12 became much more power efficency. And if I compare in standby mode, while I sleep as an example, apple is far power economic compared to android. I can say this because we have 1 iphone12, 1 iphone 13pro and 3 android devices and in the morning (unplugged from chargers all night) iphones is still 100% battery level and androids are 98 or 97!!!!

I think the ONLY advantage the iphone 14 has over the regular 13 is an extra 2gigs of ram and modem. Which i think is important.
For future IOS updates years down the line the extra RAM is definitely an advantage
It even has one extra GPU core, which enables to shoot cinematic videos in 4k as well

And also upgraded câmeras and better image processing. The jump from the 13 to the 14 is small, but if you’re already spending $700+ on a new phone might as well get the latest one. At least that’s what I think
@darius, what if you charge refresh rate to 60hz on iPhone 14 Pro Max. Will that be the best? (I know you would say you paid extra so why disable, i am just curious)

My iphone 14 plus , i use it rarely throughout the day , a normal user ,
But wheneber i use every 5 min 1 percent drops and stays upto 1 and half day upto 0 percent . And when i check the screen time it comes around to be 5 hrs .. is that normal i biught it 15 days ago . Im very much confu as it is my first iphone

Had to change the 13 pro max TWICE. first it was a software issue. Had the sierra blue. THEN got the alpine green and the back broke WITHOUT ME DROPPING IT!
Mind you; I dropped my iPhone 11 so many times and nothing happened. Till this day the best phone I ever had.
And it exceeds my expectation on every level. Passed it down to lil bro and he is still enjoying it!
Rn coming from the 13 pro max I’ll definitely opt for a normal glass but the same battery. So 14 plus it is.

pro models have weak glass on the back cuz thats apple and want u buy new phone cuz who buys pro 1k+ phones probaly have money when break nuys new so of u go basic models u will all good better value over time and reaper is cheapet got 13 pro max drop 2 times broke whole phone then got 14 plus drop 3 times same places and same heaight not even scratch@@javianjohnson8746
On iPhone which storage option and pro or pro max, should u usually recommend
As far as this year's iPhones go with the 14 Pro Max and honestly if you plan on using the ProRaw feature a lot I would recommend a higher storage option.
If you simply want a smaller phone the the 14 pro is not a bad option either as he said in the video I would definitely turn off the always on to conserve battery.

Personally using the 14 pro max one day I got 14 hours of screen on time going from 100% to 1% no charging in between

I think if you turn low power mode on and disable always on display you will get accurate results.
Not really. You’re sacrificing most of the main iPhone features, and the low power mode and always on display only help because your taking away some of the benefits of owning the 14.
Just disable always on display, then results will get more accurate.

this battery test might change on this date, 14 pro can hold on until 9hrs + by disabling the AOD and set the screen to auto refreshrate. i already experienced it now while my daily routine is Playing hard games for almost 1 hr,watching netflix,youtube, browsing socmedia,taking videos and pictures. and 50% maintained brightness. without adjusting it to low. 9hrs+mins my 14 pro holds the bar. 😊

@@whereisdasoup7064 it's a good choice. I really think you should go for the pro. But also depends on how you use it. Like if you use it lightly, then it can go upto 2days without charge. But if you a heavy user, 9-10hrs is easy. I use my pro as a moderate user. And by nighttime, it still was at 45-50% battery. Yea, keep ur location off, nd stuff I don't really like Amoled. So yeah, good choice.
Some storytellers do not give iPhones and have never given 6+ hours with normal use. I have every day: games - 2-3 hours, UA-cam and instagram - whenever I want, telegrams, navigator - 1.5-3 hours without geoposition and that's it. And there has never been such a thing that a charge remains after 4-5 hours of active screen. From 10:30 am to 15:00-16:00, there is already 10-20% left, which is spent in a few tens of minutes.

after 3 hours of on-screen time and about 0 off-screen I have about 20%. iPhone 14 Pro. Apple support doesn't care at all and tells me to reset my phone restart everything and come back in a while.

Did you watch the video? The pro and pro max had lower cause of the always on display. If it had been turned off during stand by, the pro would’ve done better.

Given that 14 pro lost 7% more in stand-by test, if you only disable AOD and keep 120Hz, at the end, 14 Pro Max will still have 6% when 14 Plus had 5%. If you also disable 120Hz, then 14 Pro max will win clearly

Really no losers here, they all offer best in class and the iPhone 14 Pro would easily outrun my S22U, that has a 50% larger battery, so Apple King of efficiency.
Battery life is very subjective as if you just watch YT videos at 30FPS then the 14PM would beat the 14Plus buy 1-2 hours. But if you are scrolling Twitter at 120FPS then the Plus would beat the Max as it did here.
But if we aghust to low power mode 14pm will beat 14plus because of adaptive to 1-60hz ?

@@dxyxtnx8819 Yes, if we use low-power mode and we normally use apps that use 120Hz, then 1-2 hrs extra battery. You can, of course, simply turn off 120Hz; “limit frame rate” setting.
