I've been in the SEO world for 5+ years and your best bet is to double down on UA-cam. - You have a better chance of growing a channel vs a blog on organic search - Since Google owns UA-cam, there's a decent chance of your videos ranking in organic search (if optimized correctly) - You can repurpose your long-form videos into blogs using AI to summarize your video transcripts in your own writing style - You can repurpose long-form videos into short clips and distribute on Shorts, TikTok, Reels, etc.
I get the point. At the same time, I believe we are giving too much power to bigger corporations like Google, who own all platforms and decide the rules. There should be ways to become less dependent on Google and other platforms. It's not easy, no.
Hey Spencer. Thank you for the information and resources you shared over the years. I just resurrected my UA-cam Channel after watching your video. My blog traffic was down regardless of pumping content.
Can't believe I'm the first to comment! lol. You make some solid points. People probably aren't going to have that solid trust and connection with an AI blog. Which is why I'm using my AI blog to grow an email and build trust through a podcast. I hate UA-cam so podcasts are the next best thing in my opinion.
Plot twist: Start a blog that answers every google query with a meme. Memes never lose 👍 Edit: Thought about some of the things people could potentially search for. This is a terrible, terrible idea.

I’ll be the first to admit I’m wrong in a few years if I am, just my opinion! Best of luck with the blog!
Oh man!! I've been missing your content!! Thank you! 🎉
haha had a baby and things got rough for a bit, got some good stuff hopefully coming!
@@Buildapreneur oh! Congrats!! Yep! That'll do it! 😅
thanks man
No problem!
Very true !
Can you also do a video should you start a vlog in 2024.. I keep hearing vlogging is dead and its discouraging for a new content creator.
Anything video is great right now, including vlogging, if you have an interesting story :)
Boo! I get it, but man that sucks for the little guy. How do we ever get ahead?
So are you saying starting a blog now isn’t going to work?
I’m saying chances are really low
Hey Spencer,
