I'm trying a different video editing program so I thought I would make a new vid. This is my first every Matthew & Mary vid.

They were perfect, and I never admired the series as much after his death, it was still good, but without Matthew and Mary (when she was with Matthew) it did not have that extra sparkle anymore ...

They not only look alike, they also have the same gestures and attitudes. Brilliant casting having these two actresses play mother and daughter. Funny thing - in a way they sound alike even though they have different accents. Their way of speaking somehow transcends their accents.

Matthew was in love with Mary the SECOND he saw (and insulted) her. Matthew realizes he made a MISTAKE proposing to Lavinia when Mary kisses him goodbye on his way to war in 1916.

Right on. Mary & Matthew (esp. Matthew) have me mesmerized. I don't know what it is. They have a special chemistry between them. I hope Mary totally gives herself over to him. He deserves that. He was so innocent when they first met..didn't know what to expect and took a lot of rudeness from her. Yet they both fell in love right at the start.

these two are so perfect together! beauties, they have them both. Character? they absoulutely have them too which makes the drama more tasty as ever. I watched this drama mainly because of Mary and Matthew! but don`t get me wrong, all characters were good and very encouraging.

Thank you for the spoiler warning. I was elsewhere on youtube in late Dec and I had what happens in the Christmas special revealed to me because someone did not say SPOILER ALERT. You know what that means. The season hadn't started yet in the US and I was left knowing how something turns out. It's colored negatively my enjoyment of the entire season...the spoiler that someone didnt' warn about ruined it for me quite a bit. So thanks
The way he treated Mary at Lavinia funeral he just as well died with her as he told her he couldn't live without her in front of Mary Mary should of gone to America like her father said and found a good man Mary spent all those years loving him it must of felt like a dagger in her heart listing to all he said to lavanià

I always thought their first scene was more of a "Oh, crap. She's hot." moment. Not an "OMG, she's the love of my life!". He was definitely infatuated with her...but I don't think he was in love. Mind you, in those days, physical attraction was enough reason to propose marriage.
Maples Islet yeah then they hated each other before tolerating one another and then falling in love with each other. they knew each other for 8 years before they got married, id say that was love.
