These tiles only look good if you install them up to the ceiling- all the sale photos show them to the ceiling. But I've read that installing them up to the ceiling can be problematic because ceilings are level and cutting the panels too large can cause them to crack.
If you're worried about cutting the panels to the ceiling (and the ceiling not being level) - it's not a problem since the shower kits come with a 'large L profile' on the top to cover height variations or cuts which are a little off. As far as cracking - since the backer is marine grade plywood (the same stuff used on boats), it's a solid material - Mike
These panels rest on a 'base profile' which is near the bottom of the shower pan or shower floor. Then the sealant is applied between the base profile and the wall panels to seal the joint.
Jack, we appreciate your input! While we did everything we could to increase the volume of our voices in this video, we could only do so much. We live and learn! In our future videos we will be using better microphones to increase the quality of our videos. Always appreciate the feedback! We are glad you found this video informative. Let us know if you can help you with any projects down the road!
You could put them in front of Wedi Stewart, but we prefer OSB because the screws which are used will adhere better to this material. Also - since these panels are waterproof you don't really need a waterproof wall backer board behind the panels anyway - Mike

Thank you for the great info. So intrigued!
If using a tiled shower floor is a tile upstand necessary? or could these panels sit directly on the floor?

Can you clean the matt finish just as easily as cleaning the gloss finish?
It's not a problem to clean the matte finish - although gloss is always easiest to clean, although any gloss surfaces will show more spotting. - Mike
Informative video but I can hardly hear it with the volume all the way up. Please re-post the video with better volume.
