@@howiebaby2226 thank you! That's great to hear. I find it hard to teach theory about something as practical as playing an instrument. But if it helped you I might do some more lessons!
Double C tuning is just the best. Ever since I was brave enough to start doing different tunings it opened up so many more wonderful sounds to the banjo that I had been missing in Standard G. Obviously I am still very much a beginner and there maybe other tunings that lay ahead that may come close, but for now I am drawn to that tunes that have that are filled with better depth of notes. Can't sum it up really but I agree completely that the atmosphere is enriched in Double C. Thank you again for getting your head around teaching us, always difficult to put into words what comes naturally to yourself, you basically have to slow down everything and dissect it slowly and verbally transpose it to us. You did grand. I look forward to all your content, great tunes and wonderful playing.
Very cool Jelle! I like the approach you took with this lesson, kind of a road map of this specific tuning you made! I like that way better than the “note-for-note copy this song exactly like I do” lessons that you generally see. You’re on to something here, great work!
Thanks Jelle. That has helped me understand things a lot. Not sure why you wouldn't want to teach more, I thought that was great.

Glad to hear you like my approach. I wasn't really sure of it so thank you!
Great lesson Jelle!
Thanks! Hope it can be of some help
Nice, thanks for your thoughts on this matter! i was wondering: do you transpose tunes you 'need' to play in open G to double C tuning sometimes?
@@bluelectrified jup! All the time really :) I just try it in both G and C and choose what I like best
