so do all those switches on steering work? I have the same 2019 amazon sprinter I bought for work. outfitted it with shelves. they come completely empty not even a cruise control. So I've been thinking of buying those steering panel switches to add for cruise and radio control but been told that most likely if there aren't any currently that means there isn't wiring harness for it and it wouldn't work
Bit of a long story but the info you've received is incorrect. All the wiring exists, the canbus needs to be programmed to look for the signals. In the case of cruise control this can be done with Xentry and DTS Monaco by a skilled user (not me) and for the radio buttons you will need to purchase a canbus adapter. Which buttons work will depend on the adapter and your stereo brand. OEM stereo controls may be able to be turned on through DTS Monaco, in my case the volume and a couple of others work which is all I need. Hope this helps, cheers
I believe I only disconnected it at the quick disconnect. Although for seat removal to avoid airbag light you would also disconnect the small aux battery under the driver's seat so it's possible that was disconnected at the time too.
Do you know if it is the same procedure for an '88 Dodge Caravan (the one with the wood on the sides)? Thanks

@@surfmarko eBay, or any Mercedes dealership. I believe they run around 100-130. Be careful, many look correct but cannot be coded in.
Battery disconnected where? At the battery terminals themselves or by using the quick disconnect cable near the throttle.?
