This design is literally flawless. Audi has the most consistent exterior designs hands down. Audi > mercedes, bmw

So gorgeous with those wheels, blacked our grille and that white color. Perfect spec and one of the most beautiful cars on the road. Even better than the last gen imho.

The Audi interior displays look really nice. I particularly like the Google sat nav satelite view option, so much more informative that a basic map when you can see terrain.
I admire German automotive philosophy. Designing a vehicle that hovers midline between modern and classic. The Audi here clearly shows that. In 15 years time, people can still appreciate this vehicle's form cruising down the coast.
It must be a lot of work to learn all the features of so many cars. Especially, with the advanced electronics of today's cars. Thomas is addicting....a pleasure to watch and listen.

Such a pleasure to see you address sustainability in the car reviews as well. I had one of the first A7's and is now ashamed to say, that it was with a full leather interior. I have luckily since then become wiser and would today never dream of picking a leather interior. Such a pleasure to see a company like Tesla also be the leader on this front with their all vegan interior options. A shame that the german auto industry missed that trend as well like electrification. Thank you for a great review.

This was an awesome video! Can’t wait for the S7. I feel like the color of the car can make or break the design. I think white and black look really good but red and blue don’t look quite right. Also I would’ve preferred the S4 steering wheel in his car. I feel lt would have looked better

Einer deiner coolsten Bewegungen ist es meiner Ansicht nach, wenn du wie in 3:36 zu Ende geredet hast und dann einfach zum Auto blickend aus dem Bildschirm gehst. Finde ich sehr professionell. Manchmal drehst du dich mit dem Gesicht zum Zuschauer weg und manchmal mit dem Rücken zum Zuschauer. Ich finde die erste Version noch mal ein kleines bisschen freundlicher. Ich selber bin Verkaufstrainer und mir wurde immer eingetrichtert, dass es unfreundlich und distanzierend dem Publikum gegenüber ist, wenn man ihm den Rücken zu wendet.
Man lernt immer von einander. Bitte versteh das nicht als "Lehre" oder "Kritik" oder so. Wollte es nur mit dir geteilt haben.

The old side lines need to be added to this, not liking the touchscreens either or the piano black. Thank your for pointing out how they manual steering wheel adjustment and other cheap feeling things, in some ways this would be an upgrade but I'm really thinking Ill just wait till the next gen.

What's your opinion about the 45TFSI engine? Is it reliable? Does it give you enough torque while overtaking? What is the fuel consumption?

I wish they kept the MMI controller, it’s easier to control when driving and differentiates Audi’s from VW’s. The dual touch screens collect to many fingerprints.
T6 Multivan Se parking sensors are optional too!
New look design language has been better implemented on this A7 than with big A8 sedan I think. What's up with Audi and removing the rear mufflers altogether on some cars and not on others? Not a fan of glossy piano finish with the dashboard and although super impressive with the function/intuitive controls, it all feels too clinical.

May I ask what type of phone you inserted into the inductive charging cradle? It seemed to just fit, and as a future owner of this car, I'm wondering if some of the larger phablets like the upcoming Samsung Note 9 will fit in there.
I think it was the phone of Michel, if it was my phone it was iPhone X though the space seemed quite reasonable

Great review as always! Thinking about the consumption of this TSFI petrol Audi, I still feel Diesel engines have a lot to offer despite the bad press. Do you guys still think there is a future for diesel engine cars or are they going to be a thing of the past very soon?
private registrations decline, business fleets still keep them in Europe. I feel it gets more and more complicated to comply with regulations, I think the Diesel has had its peak, even if it is at the given moment still useful for like 40.000 km / year drivers

Nice review. One question, is it normal to have a left hand drive car in the left lane in South Africa? I would tend to think that this makes driving there more dangerous, especially in over taking.

Thomas, this time last year at Vineyards Hotel, Newlands and the same scenic Chapman's Peak in Panamera Hybrid & 911 4 GTS! This year, an A7. Don't know South Africa but it looks nice! 1:07 clever to get those shots when parked across the Main road. 29:46 - was that the cyclist 'alarm'? Serenity and calm, then your heart leaps at an alarm. As you say Thomas, expensive, nice and petrol hungry. Many thanks.
thanks! I think that was the alarm that I should overtake the steering wheel since the assistant thought I was using the semi-autonomous function. Happened three to four times
I see! You seemed to driving along nicely as always Thomas - not on semi-autonomous. A message flashes up on the Virtual Cockpit that I can't read due to my basic monitor here!!! Actually, I don't like loud alarms coming on suddenly, breaking the serenity and calm of the cabin as you quietly cruise along - frightens passengers too! I've always liked your driving videos showing it as is - keep up the good work. Many thanks.

Looks cool but Gulfstream 650 is faster, more economical and has a lot more space for lugage and pasangers. Not to mention electronics package. ;))

hey m8, hm well, the Mercedes interiors are more beautiful, sound system is better and they offer better sustainable seating surfaces. Trunk is better usable in the A7 and it drives better and has better seating comfort. To me then, it would be the A7 if I can get fabric or alcantara seats for that one.

Great car .Terrific design ,superb interior quality ,great ride ,sporty yet quite comfortable.My only gripe is too much touchscreens and not enough physical nobs .Nobs are easier to use while driving .But anyway great job by Audi.

We need a car for long trips. Comfortable seating and position is a must. Can't decide between A7, A8 and Q8. Any advice?

A8 does not offer any animal skin alternatives, that's a negative. Q8 and A7 do, fabric and alcantara in EU markets at least

As you probably saw I struggled to even control the drive select while driving. ..
i love this car and loved the old a7 (my favorite car if i could only haveone would have been an rs7) but whyyyy 55 in the engine name whyyy? i do not understand? other than that and maybe the two screens in the middle a bit overdone great car... reallly amazing! and amazing review Thomas from a long time subscriber ☺️
