I use my Apple Watch for almost all my videos. I found even a phone holder clamp with a socket to mount the Apple Watch properly. Solid stuff. And Filmic Pro has its own Apple Watch app too :)
A great tip I got from Larry Laffer is to use the record and play voice memo on your apple watch to capture audio if you’re far away from the iPhones mic. You could then sync it in post. Haven‘t tested it out yet but seems like a great idea 👍🏻 If you have any other great tips on how to use the apple watch for iPhone filmmaking leave it in the comments! 👍🏻

I'm an apple addict but the apple watch was one of the only thing I resisted buying...until right now 😂 I was looking for a way to have control of my rear iphone camera while using it for filmmaking and I'm sitting in front of my phone...and I just found your video. THANKS!!!!!!!

The top-listed app under that name on the app store does not have any screenshots identical to the ones you posted here, and I do not see "Drafts" in my list of complications on the Watch app on my iPhone. (The Complications picker is horribly designed, IMO. It takes way too long to scroll through the list, there is no search or filter, and it is easy to miss a complication and have to scroll through the list all over again. And it is far worse on the Watch itself. I really hope this is one of the changes coming in WatchOS 10.)
Another super helpful information shared in this video. Thanks to your guidance that I am trying to do much better with every video I am recording for my vlogs. There are few problems that I face one of which is the gimbal becomes heavy after attaching mic n flash light(if required) as per your mobile Vlogging set video. Very little space is left on the grip to hold & I endup using only mobile mic. Please suggest an alternative. Also all the best for the surgery & hope you recover soon. 💜💜

iPhone 12 Pro Max selfie camera is shoot 4K good video. I don’t need to use my tiny watch screen to see. But I’ll use it to control the camera app. My issue is, the camera app on my AppleWatch crashed on me few times. It’s annoying.,.,

Hi Troy, By default, the display screen on Apple Watch will go to sleep after 15 seconds. If you want to see a bit more of your watch face, however, you can change the amount of time it takes for your watch to go back to sleep after you tap the screen in the settings.

force reboot the watch by pressing the Digital Crown and the side button at the same time until you see the Apple logo.
