Thank you for putting this in English!
Love your channel, now its even better in English Thank you.
Thank you. You definitely answered some of my questions. Although if you do end up doing a head-to-head comparison with the Hornet, that would be a video worth watching.
I love the looks of this but the revvy nature of the hornet and lower price make me want that more . I can live with the looks.
I tested both back to and the 8s was head and shoulders above the hornet around where i live in the breacon becons south wales
@@damon1957ful that’s good to know . I’ve actually changed my mind on it since writing this . I’ll be in the market for an 8s when I come to upgrade .
Looks wise it looks better than the Hornet.
Nice review, & I very much appreciate the English version. As for the bike, I'd choose this over the Hornet because of the style alone & the extra torque is a bonus. I'd also have it over the KTM as they have very similar nice styling but mainly because of the dealer network, availability of parts & overall reliability is better. You also now get a 7 year / 70,000 mile warranty with the Suzuki that no other manufacturer even remotely comes close to matching currently. It's also better than the MT07, Z650 & significantly cheaper than the Tuono 660 too., However the Tuono is great & a far superior bike which is worth the extra money imo .
Yeah this looks very KTM'ish. Down on performance but thinking it would be more reliable.
Will the warranty model translate to other European countries ?
@@sch3l3 Really not sure but I would like to think so. I don't see why the UK would be unique or special. It's a marketing strategy to increase & retain custom & so I would presume it's global.
Buying the quickshifter for the Honda would bring the price closer to the Suzuki. But for the suzuki you'd want the LED indicators. Leaving the stock halogen indicators on something quite handsome like this one is a disservice to the bike.
Let's go! So excited for this review 🍻😁
The Japanese are masters. ❤️
6:09 It's a good thing that over-enthusiastic ABS can be cured with grippier tyres.
It's going to sound nice and burly with a full exhaust.
I'd bet a chunk of money that if this ECU was put in a tuner, we'd find out the ECU isn't giving the rider 100% throttle opening until probably 3/4 revs, and only in a couple higher gears, before the ECU shuts the throttle down 20-30% on the top end. It's being done to just about EVERY SINGLE BIKE these days with throttle by wire and it's how manufacturers are getting emissions and noise compliance. You buy 100% of the bike, you twist the throttle at the grip 100%, and the ECU says, nope you can't have it.
I think I would have to sit on the GSX-S1000 also if I was looking at the 8S. What are your thoughts on the 1000 compared? thanks
Would you say a beginner can start on this bike?
Thinking of the gorgeous green of the Ducati Streetfighter V2, the stunning new red or yellow of the Street Triple RS, and ample other stunning colors out there like gun-metal grey for example, this bike could have looked so much better. A shame it's only offered in blue, white/blue and black.
Grey would definitely look incredible on it.
@@ganuvien 100%. So many better options. If they wanted to really stand out, this would have been one way to do it. I mean, just look at the Hanauma Mint that genesis use on their gv60. Something outside the box like this would have been epic on a bike like this. Would have made it a real show stopper.
what is that riding boot?
The Suzuki looks more suited to taller riders than the Honda. Yes?
There is a really good back to back comparo here on youtube, can't remember the title but search it you'll find it. Yes the hornet is more cramped and the step to the rear seat limits the rider from moving back in the seat.
@@ljoelmchanley3676 I think I’ve seen it recently.
what is your opinion about the new Suzuki GSX-S8? write a comment!
It's a lot prettier than the new hornet. I'm very curious if after driving both, the Honda could convince me to pick the uglier bike for more performance.
Stock hornet sounds better, Suzuki looks better
Great video. To try to gauge the suspension a little better. Can I ask how much you weight?
I ordered one and am just waiting for them to hit the U.S. Looking at the new bikes I would probably prefer the Hornet. I think it looks better and is lighter but no confirmation of it coming here. So its down the the 8s, and possibly the Mt-09. thanks
Funny I sold my mt09 for the Suzuki . Can’t w8 until it comes
209 lbs
I've also ordered mine and cannot wait. Were you told when to expect it by the dealer? Mine said late May / early June
@@Rogers319 That is what I was told too.
Suspension is always garbage on these nakeds once you begin to push them and try to ride hard with the supersports. Best to upgrade that first.
finally.
I was waiting for this review. I just saw videos of the mt07 and it’s a lot more “flickebel” I like that. Plus the price means a lot. In my country mt07 is the cheapest both the Hornet and gsx8 cost a lot more.
Honestly I’m disappointed both at he Honda and Suzuki. Honda just looks boring, but sounds like a fun good bike. Suzuki looks great to me, but motor and driving style sounds boring to me.
Nonetheless I will try them all before deciding what way to go
The fuel tank is too small
Dream bike but the GSXS750 and 1000 mite be better.... GSXS1300 PLEASE SUZUKI touring naked monster
Blue less capable ktm
Thanks for sharing but it's a 10 minute video that says basically nothing. Have an opinion
