Thank you Paul for watching and for your support. Indeed, they redesigned it in the Boston 12 which I'm using now... including the midsole, let's see and hope it will last longer than 150miles...
150 miles are not a lot of mileage, how disappointing! I wonder how common this issue of Boston 11 is for other runners. Thanks for the update review, Stelvio!
Thank you for watching and for your support Thomas. It looks is quite common for the B11 according to the messages I got and to a quick research I have done... that's a pity, I like this shoe, very disappointing!
I had 4 pairs of Boston 11 and averaged 500km before retiring them. Two pairs tore out the upper on one side at 450km like yours. I had a similar but different tearing problem with two pairs of Adios 7. I think the recycled celermesh material which is similar in both has a durability problem.
@@brianreiter5572 thanks for the feedback, yes I think as well, because in different shoes, same problem, definitely must be the material used for the upper
Wow, it's clear you're a loyal Adidas fan, Stelvio. It's disappointing to hear about the durability issues with the Boston 11 shoes after just 150 miles. Quality and customer satisfaction should definitely come first. Let's hope the next model fares better!
Thank you Mihai for the kind comment. Yes it is really disappointing, I believe in this brand and I'm a big fan, but when I see this happening, it is very disappointing. Customer satisfaction and quality checks should have the priority. Hopefully won't happen with the 12 as well, which I'm testing currently. Keep running my friend! 🏃🏻♂😊💪
My pair is still working with 550km ran using it. It is not the most exciting running shoes ever, but it is one I have used the most and can match the durability of some extremely durable shoes : Ultraboost 22 , SolarGlide 5 and Mizuno Wave Rider 25 . I will use my Boston 11 for a few more runs before I retire it . I already got a pair of Asics Magic Speed 3 to replace my Boston. The Asics shoes is a faster and less versatile, but it is good to change .... maybe later next year, I end up getting the Boston 12... I have heard it is a very good pair of shoes.
I'm glad at least you had the chance to use the B11 for more than 500km... that's at least ok. I didn't run with the Speed but during these weeks I'm using the Boston 12 and I'll upload soon a video of it after 100 miles
Same issue for me. Ripped 3 pairs, but 2 of them were warranty replacements. After the last one I bought B12 as there is major improvement with upper design. The B12 has lasted 480km with not problem so far. I think it will last until rubber sole is warm out. My rubber sole is still very good. Maybe the foam will die before the rubber is obliterated.
At least they replaced them... Luckily I bought the B12 and not another pair of B11, I was tempted because the B11' upper fits better to my feet. So good to hear that your B12 lasted longer. Many thanks for the feedback! 👍
can i ask about something unrelated? i get high usage on all of my shoes (for running, walking and those for basketball) where i have a lot more use on the left side of my right forefoot if that makes sense (google images call that area 1st mpj i guess), usually the left shoe will be mostly fine or some slight more wear on the same area there too, but whenever i have to change shoes it's because of me making a hole in that area on the right shoe... should i try to get some insoles, what exactly should i be looking for to mitigate that issue? i also often in the past got blisters on those areas for that same reason, but it's much better now that i've been active for a longer time thanks in advance for the help :)
Try to take a look at your foot arch. Is your right foot flatter than your left? Might be the reason. Cause mine is like that. My right foot is the one to take all kinds of injuries whenever I try to push myself harder. Just a suggestion. Peace.
Before to buy an insole I would try to check and to find out the root cause. I would go to the physiotherapist to check for instance if I have an unbalanced pelvis, or as @Luqmanauar suggested, check the foot with a podiatrist. I hope this help
@@luqmananuar226 I used to have a knee growth "disease" in my teen years and perhaps my body made adjustments during that time to avoid pain, before I became active 2 yrs ago I struggled a bit, whenever I had pain from lower back, it went on the right side, through my knee all the way to the ankle, now I almost don't have it anymore, but there's for sure some imbalance there. What did you do to fix your issue? Oh and btw, I did ask both my doctor and physio and neither could really help.. I was recommended insoles, but not sure what exactly is the problem. I also have a checkup in November for my arching backbone because of bad posture over the years :/ so I'll try to address this issue as well, maybe it's connected. Anyway, thanks to both of you for the help, I REALLY appreciate it, guys! Cheers!
Almost 500 miles on mine. Unfortunately the upper suddenly ripped on both sides of the right one, beginning from the flex point of the medial side. I have to say the latest 150 miles were done on mostly trail/rocky terrain in hiking trips. Outsole and midsole are still in great shape nonetheless; after a thorough cleanup, they look almost new...
I'll let you know how my 11's do. Just got a pair. Been doing daily runs in the original Prime X's and the last two pair Ive had the outsole on the heel starts to peel off within a few weeks. I end up just running on the LS Pro material. LOL Same with my Takumi Sen 8's. Design flaws for sure.
Heel outsole on these two models is very thin, and maybe the unusual wear depends also on your running technique. In my OG Adios Pro it occurred after a fast run with beaten legs on a downhill course (with some rather steep asphalt inclines); of course heel strike is the major culprit... Anyway the forefoot Continental rubber lasted several kms more, and overall I'm well over 550 miles with a still usable (and enjoyable) shoe.
Ohhhhh, that's not good, one of the problems with companies making shoes with a main focus being on weight, they need to make sure they have some durability as well 👍
Exactly Martin, so disappointed for this shoe... and you know, I'm a big fan of Adidas, for me it is so bad realizing that actually this was not only the issue of my pair of shoe... They must test longer the shoes
Thank you! Heard about such a problem with Bostons 11 before.
Seems like an upper redesign is in order! Tough stuff when so many are so unhappy with the midsole as well! Graet, honest update, Stelvio!
Thank you Paul for watching and for your support. Indeed, they redesigned it in the Boston 12 which I'm using now... including the midsole, let's see and hope it will last longer than 150miles...
👟 멋져요.
응원합니다 👏 👏 👏
😊👍 thank you!
Bravissimo Stelvio , sempre molto interessanti i tuoi video
Grazieee 🤗
My boston 11 started a tear at 295km. I had a quick fix to support and prevent from ripping apart with a oily super glue
Hi Linda you did well, I was not quick enough to notice it that it was already ripped out 🤷♂️

After how many miles? Thanks for the feedback!
probably about 300 miles otherwise great shoe and i have some wide ass feet

I had this exact thing with two pairs of Boston 11.
Thanks for the feedback, I also heard about guys who didn't even reached 100miles... crazy!

Boston 12 got to it when you were asleep and killed it after hearing you prefer the 11th..
😊🤷♂️ what shall I say now?! I prefer the Boston 12, hoping that it will last longer than 150 miles 🤞

Wait till you hear about the new adizero evo marathon shoe crumbling at the foam while you running 😢
I heard about it and its "potential" ... 🙈
