Nah man, all these problems are small and micro tiny not even worth to mention man.......The plaid is 10 times better and more beautiful slick than any new M5 with 1000h .. The new or old M5 are so glitchy electronically when you trying to do a launch its always glitching and you loosing to other cars very embarrassing and gas coast $ 679bux every month. So the plaid is the best of the best in every way !!
Agree! If you charge at home at night, you'd have about 280-300 miles @ 80% charge everyday and unless you drive more than that in a day, you never have to SC.
The Range - I think EVs are being unfairly treated for range since the range is one of the main metrics. Next time you fill up your gas car, check how much your range is. Then measure how much you've actually driven til your next fill up. Then compare. If you drove through mountain passes, if you had the AC on, if you were fully loaded, it will also not be accurate. If you charge at home, every morning you wake up, you'll have 80% of your quoted range. Then you don't have to SC at all, unless you're going on a road trip or drive more than 300 miles per day.
I have a '23 MS Plaid, also black with black interior. I agree on the paint quality, but Tesla fixed it for me to a very acceptable standard. Day & night from what they originally delivered. My car has extremely good panel fitment, gaps and alignment are as good as my Mercs and BM's - and I'm super fussy!* Regarding stone chips, I recommend fitting mud flaps to the front wheels. Not the Tesla ones but rather there are some very good aftermarket ones which are discreet but are very effective for protecting against flying stones. The only minor glitch which I have had is the right rear door handle made an awful noise when opening. A quick spray of Q20 fixed the problem without resorting to Tesla's service center. I am pretty happy with the range and the charging is done at home at 32 MPH, so no big deal. My previous car was a M3 LR which had less range but still I found road trips to be no problem at all. I have done 2 long road trips and never spent as much as 30 minutes charging, and never once did I have to queue at a Supercharger. (* If you want to see terrible panel gaps and alignment, look no further than a C8 Corvette. I cannot believe how bad they are, and yet no-one seems to notice or say a word!)
I have a Model S and I have ppf coating. Love my car and have no problem with charging. Electric cars are not for everyone. But its definitely in my opinion better than any gas car i have ever had. Now I will say that Before the tesla i had the jaguar i pace and didnt like it . Mainly because the non tesla charging is horrible. Hey everyone has their own opinion.
No I’ve put 8k miles on this setup and counting already since it is my daily. Tires still got 80% which is pretty good for a performance tire since the tread is a lot softer then a typical tire
@@jojoswhips nice I’m currently looking to trade in my car for a plaid and was looking at the reviews the vehicle virgins last video is him ranting on how bad the plaid is 😞🤦♂️ I’m so confused now lol

How did you black out your emblems? I've been trying to find a local garage in the DFW area that offers this type of service, but I keep getting the run around.
I ordered my front T badge online black so all I had to do was swap my chrome one out and then I ordered the black PLAID logo online and did it as well
You mentioned picking up your kid, could you please do a car seat fitting review? Currently we’re using back facing seats for infants which I’m pretty sure won’t fit in model s. Still curious if I’ll be able to use front facing ones for when babies grow up.
I have a 5 month old who uses a back facing car seat and a 4 year old who uses a front facing car seat. They both fit in the car with decent amount of room. The model S is a pretty big car inside
Do you charge at home? How many miles are your trips to pick up your son? 10% for 30 minutes drive sounds a little too much unless you are traveling at 85mph. The wheels and tires do make a difference on EVs, i have All Season 4 on my Model Y and i am averaging 320wh/ mi with the 20” stock wheels
1. Mudflaps. That was the first thing I did on my Tesla to avoid those chips all over. 2. How many miles do you drive in a day? Where you’re having to charge up multiple times. Unless I’m doing a road trip I’m not running out of charge before getting home. Everything is done overnight.
Those are some pretty bizarre glitches, I'd be pretty annoyed. I have a 2022 Plaid, sometimes my charge port door will be in the open position, but that's the only glitch it has. Overall I think the build quality improved with the later Plaids. My paint quality seems to be good. I have 23,000 miles on it but don't have anywhere the number of chips you have. I do have the stock 19" rims so that might make a difference on the rear quarter panels. I put on a clear protective film on the front soon after I bought it which helps a lot. I have one minor panel misalignment at the frunk hood. Tesla says it's within spec, so they won't do anything. I think it's something I can improve, I just need to take the time to work on it.
The key card is basically for emergencies. Use the key fob or your cell phone works as key. They don't include the key fob any longer and expect you to just use your phone. With a 240 volt home charger the car charges at about 29 miles per hour. So plug it in at night and it's charged by morning. When you first get into the car it conditions the battery and heats or cools the car which uses the battery. So usage is higher on starting a trip.
I got mine used for a steal so I didn’t lose that much but still a crazy price drop on the new ones though I would’ve been super mad if I got one a week ago or even in the past few months to what it is now
I got mine recently at 105 was hurt about it so roughly lost like 10k but honestly not even mad to make it up I did get the car with 3 years of free supercharging and 1y premium connectivity so it balances the loss out a bit but the brakes on the car are honestly pretty good regardless of mine not having the ceramic brakes installed yet
Yeah in all honesty it is worth. Super comfortable, the tech and smoke just about everything on the road. Literal only downsides are just the charging and no engine sounds but when you only pay $17-$26 for a full charge and last as much as a full tank of gas of a performance car at $60+ it levels out a bit
Yeah it can because the pedal isn’t so touchy so therefore you wouldn’t use that much more % but it can’t be that much of a difference. I’m gonna have to test that soon
If you reach out to getyourwheels.com then they will help you with that info as far as the offset. A lot of rim ordering companies won’t give the customers the offsets (how they stay in business). Thank you for watching by the way!
The 19" wheel option does give you more range, but range is never a big deal for Tesla owners. My Model 3P is rated at 315 miles of range, but I only use about 30% of my total battery capacity each day.
@@scottbreseke716 The 19 inch wheels increase range and ride comfort, are less likely to get damaged, and don't seem to affect performance. In fact there have been some tests showing the 19s outperforming the 21s. So the only reason to go to larger wheels is looks. By the way on trips the extra range reduces travel time.
Also isn’t this car less than $90,000 now..🤯 damn and with track package only $110,000. This car is a fat steal.

I see if I buy this car first thing has to be done is PPF
Paint specialist and then PPF/ceramic coating. Easy solution and cheap when you’re talking about a beast like that.
A 1000+ hp gasoline car would get WAY worse fuel mileage. No comparison. To be fair, To be fair, most of these points are not specified to the Plaid.
