The resulting engine performance during acceleration, e.g. from a speed of 80 km/h (22.22 m/s) to 120 km/h (33 m/s), if it takes 6 seconds and the weight of the vehicle is 1500 kg., the front surface of the vehicle S= 2m ^2, the drag coefficient air Cx=0.32, air density Ro=1.3, coefficient of rolling friction f=0. 015 and transmission efficiency at n=0. 95 is P=(m*dv/dt*v+ m*g*f*v+0.5*Cx*Ro*S*v^3)*1/n=(1500*((( 33.33-22 .22)/ 6) *33.33+1500*9.81*0.015*33.33+0.5*1.3*2*0.32*33.33^3 )*1/0.95= 121.413 kW An important parameter is the derivative of power according to momentum, where the result is acceleration dP /dp=a

Id would obviously be faster. Bat thats classic whataboutism.
The Tesla lunch *way faster* than the Turbo S. See the 2nd and 3nd drag races.
Of course i still take the Porsche tho...
The fact that the plaid is a 5seater is just WOW and for only that price
No even when it was for free I would have one.

the SF90 is so beautiful, and the paintjob is incredible
yesssss
If they used the new PLAID with upgraded ceramic brakes and uncapped top speed, it would have been even more unfair to the other 2.
minimum this time the Plaid wasn't only wintertimes like the X Plaid... that carwow never corrected this is a shame
And if they used a lucid it would be even more unfair to all 3 of them, or a bugatti pur sport ahahah
I didn't expect the Tesla to gap the Ferrari. That's interesting. Made me wonder what a Roadster could've been if applies what this Model S needs to be an even better car, but yeah, you know how Tesla is these days...
The Porsche? No surprises there, it's still fast, still so capable (even compared to 1000hp cars). The Ferrari's "always breaking" is pain for all of those Ferrari fans in F1. I felt that.
Seems like the roadster would a model 3 sized car with model s plaid power train and beefier suspension.
Tesla are junk cars get whooped on B-roads by MX5s and "roadster" 😂 yeah you lot have been saying that same thing for a decade now and still no "roadster" Embarrassing
The sf90 has a way better top speed though sf90 can do 240 plus mph without a limiter also the plaid has a way lower drag coefficient with 1200 hp actually that’s why it’s quickier even on higher speeds
That Turbo S wth around 800-900 hp will kill them all. Incredible car
so you need to tune a $230k Turbo S to beat the $108k sedan ?
@@alexz8373 Yes ;)

@@KevinColt its a bot..
Like always the Porsche a masterpiece of engineering 650hp and holding up with 1000hp cars.
Lol how much does TESLA weigh??
I don't think you understand what "holding up" actually means....Once the tyres were warm the Porsche might as well be stationary.
@@andycarollsuarez Well, when it wasn't a HP game, the Porsche reliably launched better than the 1000HP SF90 Ferrari. Only at high speed is the HP gap clear as day. So as a daily it will out-launch an SF90 and keep up with a Plaid. Pretty sick.
@@Samosayummyyay On a daily it won't keep up with a plaid....Doesn't mean the 911 turbo S isn't a great car...the plaid is just a whole different league in terms of acceleration and speed. What happened to the Plaid on the 1st run is a rare occurrence.
@@francisgomes9976 the Ferrari weighs less, ur point?
Would be great if they stack a tuned GTR with Plaid...
i remember that tuned GTR gives a leap gap to SF90 so to the Tesla...Who agrees..??
Tesla brakes were never bad (in terms of braking force), the problem Is brake fade not power, and in the Tesla you have 1020 HP meaning it as a toon of Regen, also the Tesla plaid now comes with higher thermal capacity brakes. Last time you tested a plaid you used winter tyres and didn't even mention it.
And most folks already know the Plaid is good for 9.2s quarter mile with an average driver and 9.3s on a bad day.
Did you know that it's just higher thermal PADS? I'm going to swap mine sometime in the future. That may be an easy fix.
@@carsbykev7037 New units have new high thermal capacity pads as standard (red calipers)

Would be nice if you shared with us the battery charge level, Matt, if you used cheetah stance with launch control, and also the tires on all 3
Yes. At this level of performance, tyre are so crucial.
Could not agree more, Matt would have made a big song and dance about waiting for it to get into Cheetah mode!
I have Tesla Model S 75D and want to upgrade to Plaid. Just incredible car.
That Tesla looks like a Ford saloon from the 90s! Who'd be seen in one of those?!
Something is off with the SF90 as I’ve seen many races with the SF90 up against the Tesla and always reeling it in with relative ease.
What are you talking about??
@@JH-Carbon exactly what he said pal😂 I've seen it too. Sewn plaid get reeled in by an old Suzuki Hayabusa at about 85mph so what other confirmation do you need?
@Big duphus AJ no, I mean where is that in the video? As far as I've seen, the tesla plaid was still pulling away from the SF90 in both the drag race and the rolling race, so what do you mean? And it being reeled in by a Suzuki? OK, now yall just being over dramatic. 😂
@@JH-Carbon theyve probably seen the old tesla model s ludicrous
A family car beating the ultimate ICE supercars. It’s utterly amazing
Yea that family car has 1200 hp and a better power to weight what’s funny is that the plaid would get smoked in top speed by the other two
@@ericship8383no one should logically care about top speed. At least where I’m from, America, you can’t use over half your speed dile so who cares if you can eventually go faster when it’ll never happen.

@@ericship8383 It's 1020 hp not 1200. And it has 5 seats and a massive trunk/frunk. It also has a massive battery it has to carry which btw gives it a longer range than the 911. An electric family sedan with a longer range absolutely smoking an ICE supercar is a big win in all aspects.
Plaid is such an incredible car 👍
That Tesla is outright impressive! I have to admit, ICE are awesome but EVs are awesomely mind-blowing!

The massive weight of the battery impairs handling.
The EV do not have to worry about tailpipe emissions. They are actually EEVs(emissions elsewhere vehicles).

They need to do this again but next time with a plaid that has the track pack. Should be much better especially in braking performance.

Question question, all Plaids run 9.2 best (100% SOC ) up to 9.6 (40% SOC.)
How come yours is the slowest in the internet, did you run it with empty battery or it was done for comparison reasons?
Poor traction, the tarmac they test on likes light weight cars more than heavy cars.
@@miguellopez3392 No way, they're always getting good times for other cars, even the old Model S raven got 10.4s which is pretty much the fastest for that car... And yet with Plaid units every car including Teslas is extremely slow in every race on exactly the same surface, seems fishy to me
@lukabosnjak3829 yes I remember they tested the model X plaid with winter tires...
Thank you for the great videos. They are fun to watch but comparison around a track like Top Gear did would make more sense.
