Wow it's interesting to see a Spanish licence plate in another country. That plate it's called in Spain a provincial plate, in this case CC basically means Cáceres, a province from Spain. My grandfather had a Seat 600 too, in colour beige, but I didn't have the opportunity to see it. Best wishes from Spain.
Your video warmed my heart...in 1965 my family (including 12-year-old me) took a vacation to Italy, Spain and Portugal. We flew into Malaga from Roma and Dad had ordered a mid size European car like the Fiat 1500 we had in Italy. Well, the only thing they had available was a Seat 600! We managed to cram 4 people and 7 suitcases into the poor thing and drove ~50 miles to Marbella on the south coast. We were able to get a larger car there for the rest of our trip. By the way, the proper Spanish pronounciation is Say-ahtt, which stands for Sociedad Espanola de Automoviles de Turismo (Spanish Corporation of Private Cars).
@@FcoDguez Though it is not pronounced as individual letters and pronounced as a word, Paul Kile who you replied to, is correct. IN either case the E would sound like an A.
Wow, 100k. Can't even remember when I started watching your videos! It must have been a good 3 or 4 years... Long enough i remember this little guy and the alexander/matrix monster that never became lol. And ever since your videos always brought me joy, something that somehow managed to put a smile on my face and bring good vibes. Nice work! Thank you for your content.
What a pleasure to see something so uncommon here. I spent time in Spain in the 70's, when cars like this were still on the road, Maybe some more unique Spanish models will be in your shop some time, like the Seat 850 Especial (which was a 4 door 850 with a trunk tacked on to the back end) and the Renault 7 (an R5 with a trunk tacked on to the back end), and the real prize would be a Dodge 3700 - a Dart with a slant 6 and some unique sheet metal. And if you want to say the name more authentically, the 1st syllable sounds like "say", not "see". Anyway, looking forward to seeing this one going for a test drive soon.
Our uncle just recently got a Zastava 750L(Yugoslavia version of the old Fiat 600/Seat) and its really cute lookin and drives surprisingly well for being a 1983, surprisingly roomy too! It's in a garage nearby now and the best part is he left us to be able to take a ride in it through town whenever! Nice to see you review one of these, thanks for the video!
I don't know if you have ever seen the real old version of a two post hoist... air valves on the floor, foot operated.. two of them which is not a really good idea in the first place.. I get a job teaching auto shop to high school kids.. almost 40 years ago.. wealthy community.. kids with nice cars.. and 2 of those twin post hoists.. one of which the previous teacher had decommissioned.. I decommissioned the other one first day of school... 35 years old and almost had a heart attack.. we bought a Snap On version.. one button.. electric motor, no leaks.. no dead kids.. or teacher ✌️
One correction. This car was not produced in what is now known as Croatia. In former Yugoslavia (nowadays Serbia, city of Kragujevac), the fiat 600 (especially its stronger versions with 750 cc and 850 ccs 4 cylinder motor) was produced until the '80s. It was the most popular car back then. My father had one. Nice video. Regards
I'm jealous of your weather! I pulled the alternator out of my Saturn last week on a beautiful 70° evening. Just finished rebuilding the alt and it's 30° tonight to put it back in.
I remember when they had a Seat Ibiza on that game show where you had to match a pair of cars. Suffice it to say that the host had an absolute nightmare trying to pronounce it.
According to my "Spanish" Spanish teacher it's usually pronouced "Say-ott". Just relaying what he said. Possibly pronouced differently in various areas of Spain?
The white cluster is from a Fiat, the writing on it is in Italian (aqua, benzina etc.) and is a Veglia. The black one is from a Seat with words in Spanish like agua and gasolina.
don't you love customers that think they know what they are doing. I work on old vw's and alot of my customers understand what it takes some don't they go away mad then I see them some time later wanting me to do the job----------ya checked around didn't you.

Seat is an acronym, don't worry about the pronunciation.

Many a mile I spent sitting in the back seat in the 70s Netherlands and on holidays. Always loved the little thing!

I had a Renault 7 that was brown marketed into the US via military....what a piece of crap that took months to get parts for
Do it for the kids!! Your consistent uploading will definitely get you to 100k.
OMG! I remember these from my time in Spain! So cool there's one in the local area now!
😀You are the only person I know who would know what a Seat is.
It’s 1 degree F here in Saskatchewan and very gloomy! Send some of that nice weather this way!! Haha
That is a beautiful little car.

@@2stroketurbo You are welcome.
Cool Micro car. Never heard of a SEAT or seen one.
Today Seat belongs to VW.
Cupra is a subsidiary of Seat.

"Apparently" you are good at wiring 👏✌️
What a cool car, hope we get to see a test drive!!
Very soon!

Later models (600E) did get the normal non suicide doors probably slightly later than Fiat

It's a SEAT 600 D from 1969 (2nd series).
Car number plate "CC" belongs to the province of Cáceres, Extremadura (western Spain)
after 50 years on a shop floor,, I still hate wiring
Seat 600 had suicide doors for more years than the Fiat.
It was a very usual car in Spain when I was a child.
Regards from Spain.
Love your work 👍
Thank you so much 😀
Love it! Time to get it on the road….😘
It's a '59 model, the '72 was no longer made by Seat, great unit tho
was a close tip with fiat 600 though 😃
lol...Did eye spy a Reliant Robin out in the lot?
:D
Subscribed. Thought I was already.
awesome, thanks !
If you buy a Seat today, you basically buy a Volkswagen.
A video without your shop dog???? - There is your first thumbs down ever! (all in good humor of course). This SEAT is a gem!
She was off hunting squirrels !
Big mistake thinking that a Fiat,Seat,Zastava, NSU-Fiat 600 are all the same but there not!!
It's a ...... ZASTAVA!!!!!!!!!!! He he!!!!! 😜
What Seat made country?

STELLA!
SEAT is owned by VW.
And it was the Spanish daughter company of FIAT
Only since 1982 !! Originally effectively Spain's nationalised car producer
Not relevant to this clip.
Nope not back then.
