Lots of different reasons for not wanting them to join India. Think what is happening with Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. China(or some other country) will try to woo them and use them against India in the long run and it would be a creation of Afghanistan like situation on our borders. The only way forward is a merger with a stricter article 370 with conditions suited to India like some ppl have already mentioned.

I'm from Skardu. Honorable Baqir Hussaini has not committed any blasphemy but expressed his sectarian belief in the protest, allowed by citizenship law of Pakistan. Due to majority Sunni population in Senate of Pakistan most of them (SSP backed) always used the religious tool for political purpose and try to pass any law againsts Shia community. We want peaceful Gilgit-Baltistan for every sect!

I think you people have tolerated NaPakistan for too long. In 1947, percentage of Shia population in GB province was more than 80%, however because of a very calculated demographic replacement by Pakis, your numbers have fallen to less than 30%, in 2023.

Pakistan merging into India would make sense from both sides if the whole population gave up this desert cult called Islam and returned back to the roots of their ancestors, prior to the Islamic invasion 1300 years ago. As things stand right now, it is a rogue nation with a highly radicalized terrorism minded population.
But slowly people are realizing the evil that is Islam and giving it up. But it will take another 15-20 years I think before 80% of the population gives up Islam. For this self realization to come, they have to face extended periods of pain.

أَخْبَرَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ عَدِيٍّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَبِي أُنَيْسَةَ، عَنْ سَيَّارٍ، ح قَالَ وَأَنْبَأَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، عَنْ سَيَّارٍ، عَنْ جَبْرِ بْنِ عَبِيدَةَ، - وَقَالَ عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ عَنْ جُبَيْرٍ، - عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ وَعَدَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم غَزْوَةَ الْهِنْدِ فَإِنْ أَدْرَكْتُهَا أُنْفِقْ فِيهَا نَفْسِي وَمَالِي فَإِنْ أُقْتَلْ كُنْتُ مِنْ أَفْضَلِ الشُّهَدَاءِ وَإِنْ أَرْجِعْ فَأَنَا أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ الْمُحَرَّرُ .
"The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) promised us (a) battle expedition (in) India. If I live to see that, I will expend myself and my wealth in it. If I am killed, I will be one of the best of the martyrs, and if I come back, I will be Abu Hurairah Al-Muharrar." [1]

أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَسَدُ بْنُ مُوسَى، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بَقِيَّةُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو بَكْرٍ الزُّبَيْدِيُّ، عَنْ أَخِيهِ، مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ عَنْ لُقْمَانَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى بْنِ عَدِيٍّ الْبَهْرَانِيِّ، عَنْ ثَوْبَانَ، مَوْلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " عِصَابَتَانِ مِنْ أُمَّتِي أَحْرَزَهُمَا اللَّهُ مِنَ النَّارِ عِصَابَةٌ تَغْزُو الْهِنْدَ وَعِصَابَةٌ تَكُونُ مَعَ عِيسَى ابْنِ مَرْيَمَ عَلَيْهِمَا السَّلاَمُ " .
"The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'There are two groups of my Ummah whom Allah will free from the Fire: The group that invades India, and the group that will be with 'Isa bin Maryam, peace be upon him.'"
