A Thanksgiving Argument Fit for Thanksgiving

- Опубліковано 22 лис 2022
- It's Thanksgiving Eve, so naturally we're talking about how amazing of a name Bruce is - a name that should be earned, not given. And when we take a deep dive into Thanksgiving sides, Ian Karmel draws a hard line in the sand when James shares his dessert plans and things go completely off the rails.

Each week night, THE LATE LATE SHOW with JAMES CORDEN throws the ultimate late night after party with a mix of celebrity guests, edgy musical acts, games and sketches. Corden differentiates his show by offering viewers a peek behind-the-scenes into the green room, bringing all of his guests out at once and lending his musical and acting talents to various sketches. Additionally, bandleader Reggie Watts and the house band provide original, improvised music throughout the show. Since Corden took the reigns as host in March 2015, he has quickly become known for generating buzzworthy viral videos, such as Carpool Karaoke." - Розваги
Ian Carmel's off the cuff comedy is absolute gold. "You're gonna stand there in front of your family and God and everyone and say it's berries...maybe the last one in America - I'm not done! - and you're gonna say it's a fresh selection of berries? I don't know who the fuck you are anymore" 🤣🤣🤣
AMAZING. Was laughing like crazy. Never seen such a great team of people come together in the name of Pie! The absurdity of their conversations with James and his facial expressions is comedy gold along with Reggie's sweeeet potatooo....
that berry speech from Ian was fucking HILLARIOUS !!!!
Omg I applauded it was so funny…
As a Bruce Alan I have changed many tires for strangers before going by Bruce. There is a bit of a transitional period where most friends call you Bruce but most relatives still call you Alan. Then after you have smoked a few more hams the aunts and grandparents eventually come around too. It's the older people at church who have the most difficult time with the change - some will call you Alan until they die no matter how many hams you smoke and even if you put up a shelf in their living room. My High School reunions are awkward because a few close friends know I became Bruce, but most of my old classmates are unware and start calling me 'Alan'. And, seriously, are there more of us out there? I thought I was the only Alan who became Bruce!
Ian, thank you for saying what we all wanted to say, and what James clearly needed to hear. This segment was soooo funny you guys! I agree with a few other commenters... this will be a regular in the Thanksgiving classics rotation for years to come
I am putting in my two cents that I tremendously enjoyed the grand debate about sweet potatoes, marshmallows, and pie. Beautiful. Thank you all for your passion! I love the Reggie glasses bit quite a lot! Thank you Reggie.
Another great monologue. This one’s for the books. LMAO
James, you gotta have a Canadian Thanksgiving! We do it right! lol! Stuffing NOT dressing! NO marshmallows, no beans and nuts. But you MUST have a pumpkin pie! M
Absolutely out of control!
I love it!
Saved this one, going to be a new Thanksgiving tradition to watch every year, like a Charlie Brown special
My trusted news channel 😂
It's been a while since TLLS fam has gotten this wild. Loved an laughed every minute of it!
Oh my gosh I was dying laughing. This was hilarious.
I would love it if Fatty Corden made me laugh. You’re lucky.
That pie picture better end up in the next "News!" , we need to be informed about James' Thanksgiving Mannerisms too!
The superb news jingle, Pete innuendo, Winnie schooling James yet again, Ian's pure rage and international podcast superstar Nick Bernstein with top tier shade!!!! Perfect monologue Corden Crew shenanigans!!!!!!
“International podcast superstar Nick Bernstein” 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@jrogue3710 That's a fact... no lies told!!!!!!! He's our favourite thing to come out of the COVID lockdown!!!!!!! #SeniorVP #noPresident#NickBernstein
Happy Thanksgiving James and the late late night show crew. God Bless!!!
I will miss James and the crew so much 😭 loved the new jingle
That was hilarious, especially the Carmel rant! That was like the old lockdown days.
Every show until the end of times should be like this! THANKS!
Good thing I finished all my sweet potatoes last week, so I don't have to eat them tomorrow while hearing Reggie's voice "Sweet Potatuh" going off in my head :P
Mmmm sweet potatoes... 😊
Happy Thanksgiving to all the LLS team!! Oh and James enjoy your apple pie!! 😘
Ian, you are the man! It's unfortunate that I didn't discover this show until the pandemic, because, as I've said before, everyone of you is brilliant. Ian you are so clever. Anyways, the Bruce joke."it should be like a doctorate. You have to smoke him for seven years before you can be called Bruce". Brilliant
The best Thanksgiving bit ever!😂🦃🍁🍂
This was hilarious!!🦃
I'm going to miss these
That was hilarious! You guys make my day
I think Thanksgiving is why James is going back to the UK. 🤣
When talkin about pies: „this is my prOOblem“ 😂
What is James' Thanksgiving movie to supplement the main course?
CATS. Another turkey.
Everyone was drunk or high, or both on this set, as usual. Happy Drunksgiving James and staff!
You should earn the right to be named Bruce 😂 best one 🤙🤙
THE CHAOS IS BACK YESSSS 🤣🤣🤣
Agreed! Marshmallows are for hot chocolate!
I’m calling this complete anarchy on the CBS set today. Congratulations James!
This show just gets better with time.
Hard to accept it will soon end
OK, WHO GAVE JAMES MY EDIBLES?
And we most CERTAINLY DO have creamed beans!
Wtf do you call our standard "Green Bean Casserole"??
This was fun! Sometimes I forget that Ian is from Oregon, then he drops a bomb of a local reference like a bar in Beaverton.
BTW, we had both pumpkin pie and apple crumble for dessert, and because one of my daughters is vegan, dinner was ALL SIDES.
Seany, Sean, Sean Sean. It wasn’t all sides. It was a full lovely meal, on one plate.
I love this show🤩
Love James so much😍
Me too!!! ❤❤
Wow no pie, that's pretty extreme!
You have to remember: In Britain, a pie is a smaller thing, the size of a cupcake, usually with meat and/or vegetables inside. He's not used to a thing nearly the size of a pizza with fruit in it.
Marion-berry, blueberry, or blackberry pie are all great with some vanilla ice cream for Thanksgiving dessert.
This was a good one :) What a great gang they are :)
Agreed on the pie situation, applie pie > pumpkin pie
They are very different eating experiences that don’t need to be exclusive. For example, apple pie requires ice cream while whipped cream is necessary for pumpkin. I think both should be offered at a proper thanksgiving dinner. Apple should be homemade if possible but store bought pumpkin is acceptable
I have to agree with James - Canadian here, so our Thanksgiving is in October, but most traditional foods eaten at Thanksgiving are terrible - its the process of making the turkey that provides the fun because most of us actually don't even eat it regardless of cooking method - it's just not the best meat choice; pie in general is the bottle of the barrel type of desert, ESPECIALLY pumpkin pie; cranberry sauce should have never been created; sweet potato anything also not the greatest; and all those dishes that attempt to mix savory with sweet like marshmellows, jello and all that stuff, not sure how that is even food hahahaha but I do enjoy the holiday and the fact that I live close to the border, so our American friends and family always invite us over, which is always a blast given that its pretty much the start of ALL holidays in the US.
You can't even by Mince Pie anymore!
"What is WRONG with you?!"
"I'm BRITTISH!!!" 😂😭🤣
This felt like it was close to pandemic trust tree mode. So good.
Really enjoyed this! Gonna miss you James!
I'm a Canadian living in Germany. Is it bad that this is where I get my daily news?
LOL@ "Who hurt you?" She's funny!
James has a couple valid points: I’m not a fan of sweet potato casserole (with the marshmallows) or green bean casserole (creamy with the fried onions on top). Mashed potatoes are glorious though!
Best video in ages! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I need to see Ian's standup.
Sweet potato pie is a MUST have at Thanksgiving!
James Corden fits Thanksgiving awesomeness job
you tell'em Ian! lol
Best show I have seen today. I recorded it so I can laff again when "I is feeliing blue."
Gotta do a mixed berry pie now
My suped up ‘73 Dodge Dart was named Bruce. As in Bruce Banner. Mild mannered on the outside. But a monster under the hood.
I think the crew were about to cause James to run away from America 🤣
James could make a berry pie, would be delicious!
You can do Apple Pie that's what we do at our house. I'm with you, no pumpkin pie.
Happy Thanksgiving
Ian is the best.
Sheprad pie so good
Creamed Beans 😂😂😂
The days after turkey sandwiches are better then the whole turkey day dinner!
IAN YOU GO !!!!!! YEESSS!!!!!! lmmfao
“Cream” of mushroom on green beans for green bean casserole.
I'm with you James, hate pumpkin pie. How about a BERRY PIE, since you have the berries?
Any reason why you were off yesterday?
But this was absolutely hilarious
Apple pie is 100% ok
This is Amazing
You promised a picture of a pie. I expect to see a picture of a pie next week.
And then @10:25 Reggie cracks open a loud can!
Blackberry pie is a wonderful combination of your initial intent.
As a Bruce Alan now I’m wondering if I was Alan first and my parents had me master the smoker before they switched me to a Bruce😂😝
Also a Bruce Alan. I have gone by 'Bruce' for 25 years - I didn't know there were others out there. Maybe we should start a club.
...sweet potatoes?
Surprise! Happy Bruce day!
It's that time, it's time for the Bruce
Come on! There is nothing more American than apple pie! I bought an apple pie for our Thanksgiving! :)
Ian's outrage at no pie is all Americans.
That was delightful. Thank you everybody.
I’m with James! Good old apple pie is the best!!
Just when I thought you couldn't top the "Fanksgiving" episode...
Americans call it thanksgiving, here in the UK we just call it a normal Sunday roast :)
Except a Sunday roast doesn't have sweets with the potatoes 🤮, Sunday roast ftw
@@willjohnboy I mean yes, we also don’t have mash, so, you call it Thanksgiving, here in the UK we just call it an Awful Sunday roast :).
I’m with Apple 💯!
I use celery onions carrots and apple
Hold on, what kinds of berries are we talking?
Making pot roast right now 😌
funniest episode evah!! sweet potato . swweeet potato
Hello from Japan, since movie CATS , I am a fan.
I love my wife, she’s the best. But she puts marshmallows and pecans on sweet potatoes and it gets on my last nerve.
Americans do too much when it comes to their food. And British stuffing with sausage sage and onion is superior to the nonsense over here.
4:20
Sides are good
Broccoli, salad, pumpkin pie, apple pie, ice cream Mac and cheese , sweet potato are epic 🇺🇸
Why not a nice berry pie? Two birds one (pie shaped) stone.
James got genuinely upset
They should just stick to holidays that Corden can relate to like Halloween
😂😂😂❤❤😂😂😂
these monologue are my favourite best ones on late night do more please the guests ok eh they pay the bills but the Monologue SLAY KINGs and QUEENs
🤣🤣🤣 I like peach pie 🥧
