We got Sun Man in New Zealand... So I bought 1 to display and 1 as a buck to customise. Then I got offered the Mattel Creations mib which I bloody love. I also scored the mattel fans choice Tri Clops.
So glad I jumped on it and got the Mattel Creations one and thank goodness for the twitter guys letting us know we had to message them to keep the order because I love this one .... and now I can keep the regular release on the card for mint condition collecting. Now the question I ask everyone, where does everyone go to get the plastic cases to put origins mint on card into? is there someone online who makes them or??
I, vaguely, remembered Sun Man, but always just assumed he was part of the MotU line. Love the story behind it too. Will definitely be looking for the Origins figure, but that MC fig is too rich for my blood, for what it is.
The Mattel Creations version would probably look great along with Flying Fist He-Man and Terror Claw Skeletor. Missed out on the MC version so I'm stuck with the general release.

Meh, I don't think the Rulers of the Sun style meshes well with MOTU, so I'm going to pass. That being said, it is neat that people who want to collect these characters, now have a chance to do so without breaking the bank.

Neither one. Why buy into a money scheme that has no nostalgic feelings for any MOTU fan. Unless you had this figure as a child, you should not buy into this product when we don’t have our full MOTU roster from the 1980’s.

I really dig the “determined” head from MC; the retail release looks too much like Tracy Morgan to me.

There’s a local company is Raleigh NC that we use, they’re ok and inexpensive, I’ll try and find their website for you!
