I would say to start off by really examining the photo of the pet, look at any markings/spots in fur, those will be natural lines. Then really look at the facial structure, especially the lines around the nose/eyes, they should be pretty pronounced.
@@SamanthaAshleyGlass can I have your email address. Id like to send you a couple pics of my Lab I'm working on. Maybe you can do a better job of placing break lines in him. I am very unhappy how this is turning out so frustrating.
@@jccanada9931 I'll be happy to help, go ahead and send me a contact form on my site, or you can message me a photo on Facebook or Instagram, if you have it. samanthaashleyglass.bigcartel.com/contact
Hi Samantha I watched this video several times. I'm trying to kearn how to do pet portraits. I'm working on one of my Lab. I'm having a difficult time cutting little pieces my fingers so close to grinder bit. Can you give me tips on how to cut tiny pieces? I do my best and still have gaps!
I find it helps to use a 1/4" bit on a second story platform (if your grinder has a second platform), that way you can push the piece into the grinder bit, without worrying about it falling into the water basin.
@@SamanthaAshleyGlass well I don't have a second story platform or a 1/4" but. What and how do you cut your patterns without a circuit? I can't afford one of those.
I make all of my patterns in Photoshop. I have a drawing tablet for my computer - I first sketch the pattern with the paintbrush tool, then I go over it with the pen tool.
@@kateslater7495 I have an older video in my "step by step" playlist where I go over how I make my patterns in photoshop - but there are a few things I do differently now, so if I get some time, I'll make a video the next time I'm drawing up a pattern!
Pet portraits are so special. You did great on your first one ever. Beautiful, smooth soldering
We were the proud recipients of this piece & Sam nailed it spot on of our beautiful Mozzie. 😍 Fantastic Job! Thank you again.
Aww thank you Kathy ❤️
would love to see you do more of these
I like how you imbedded the wire while soldering to make your hooks. Very nice piece
Absolutely gorgeous!
That turned out amazing for being your first one, wow.
Thank you so much!
Excellent !
What are you wearing on your fingers to protect them?
Hi! They're cut resistant finger cots. I got them from Amazon. amzn.to/3wuHPIk
@@SamanthaAshleyGlass thanks so much i just ordered some!
Why did you do the details on one side only?
Pretty piece 🙂
Samantha what oven degree for curing?
