Magnus, track runner here. The reason the 300m run was metric while the 1.5 miles was in imperial units is probably because the distance for the test was not truly 1.5 miles but rather 2400m. In America we mostly round the mile down to 1600m when it is 1609m in actuality. Most of the time when Americans say a “mile” when talking about running on a track what they mean is 4 laps of a track, not 4 laps of a track plus 9 meters. I'm glad to see that he included the TRP's pull up portion at the end Edit: for some little detail, the TRP is the "Tactical Recruitment Program", restricted to only military veterans or former law enforcement who seek to join FBI HRT and additionally FBI SWAT I believe. They require pull-ups, so technically Magnus did a bonus portion since they're not on the regular FBI PFT
Physical test is definitely a piece of cake. Technical test, then: how to put a tie correctly ^^ Thank you Magnus for keeping us entertained with these super fun non-climbing videos :) Looking forward for the Bergen videos !
I'm surprised you ran the two turns of the track for the 300m instead of the two straights. You probably could've scored an 8 if you ran two straights with one turn, since humans naturally run faster in a straight line as opposed to a turn.
To answer Magnus's question at 7:50, in the US people tend to use miles for long distance runs but short sprints are always done on tracks like the one you ran on and tracks are always broken into meters so having a 300 m sprint and a mile and a half run makes sense in the US.
As someone who runs long-distance voluntarily, you did great on the 1 1/2 mile. the average time of 1/2 a mile in 3 minutes, and you did that 3 times back to back. For a beginner in long-distance, you did amazing. Also, I do this voluntarily because I suck at sprinting but I love running. It is also a great way to get endurance and a leaner body which I prefer for climbing. I have also always been someone with better endurance, and I love to run cross country / 5km. That's why people run it voluntairly.
@@Bettie_Rage It's a build game too. Magnus does train endurance and has muscular but quite skinny legs, which means he has decent stamina and doesn't have to wear himself out throwing those stick around, neither does he have much other bodyweight to carry around. I'm built the opposite way. I avoid training legs because I put on legmuscles so much easier than the rest of the body and have tree trunks for legs anyway. Meaning I'm great at any leg strength excersize except running, because then I have to lift those same logs over and over. I'm useless at running. I had 1.3 metric miles (8 imperial miles) to work at one time and made the trip in less than 20 mins from door to I was clocked in on my old bike, but was caught out in the rain one day and thought I'd try running home, and got about 200 meters.

And beside, marriage is a pretty nonsensical thing in 2021. Say they break down 5 years from now, MAgnus is gonna be financially ruined. I know some might say it's a materialistic view, but so many people have their lives ruined like that every single year- ever more every year.
I didn't even realize this was you Magnus, clicked it and looked away heard your voice - good to see you're staying active and healthy through this "crisis"
@@mortenlarsen7220 I agree. HRT team has to get a minimum of 5 in each exercise. Which still isn’t too bad if you train for it but definitely much harder than normal agents
I guess the pull up test is just to see if you can get passed the 1 point limit but the score doesn't count for the total, meaning if you fail the pull ups you fail the whole test.
I'm not a runner, but I assume measuring the running in meters and miles is because most "long distance" running in the US is measured in miles, while track running for shorter sprints is usually done in meters. Most likely to keep it consistent across countries for the Olympics.
I find it funny that there is a text clarifying that you´re not supposed to include the pull up score in the total score but Magnus went ahead and added it anyways. Attention to detail people.

Miss the Anton-Magnus combo though, but know that it'll for sure come back when the time is ripe.
Keep on having love and fun
Watching Magnus with Marte gives such a warm fuzzy feeling.❤️ Sweetest couple.
You seem more relaxed in your videos recently, i'm not sure what it is, but it's really enjoyable to watch.
Also great to see Marte again!
I'm glad to see that he included the TRP's pull up portion at the end
Edit: for some little detail, the TRP is the "Tactical Recruitment Program", restricted to only military veterans or former law enforcement who seek to join FBI HRT and additionally FBI SWAT I believe. They require pull-ups, so technically Magnus did a bonus portion since they're not on the regular FBI PFT
Wonderful to have Marte back!!!!! Magnus continues to be a BEAST... simply an incredible athlete.
Physical test is definitely a piece of cake. Technical test, then: how to put a tie correctly ^^
Thank you Magnus for keeping us entertained with these super fun non-climbing videos :) Looking forward for the Bergen videos !
It was great to see Marte back behind the camera, her commentary is funny 😁 glad you guys haven't broken up 💑
I've been rewatching some of your older videos with Marte lately because I missed her. I'd like to think that it summoned her by doing so 😄!
"Agent Magnus" does sound pretty cool tho
I'm surprised you ran the two turns of the track for the 300m instead of the two straights. You probably could've scored an 8 if you ran two straights with one turn, since humans naturally run faster in a straight line as opposed to a turn.
My best 1.5 mile in NROTC was 10 minutes, 48 seconds almost 10 years ago. Good job.
Wow.... the parkour moves in the begging left me speechless....
Magnus is probably on all kinds of watchlists doing all these military and agency training videos
13:02 Squared bar certainly matters! It's much harder to do pullups on a squared bar than on a round one. Well done!
Your content has been very clever and shows that youre progressing well. Keep it up bud!
Very nice to see Marte make her triumphant return!
To answer Magnus's question at 7:50, in the US people tend to use miles for long distance runs but short sprints are always done on tracks like the one you ran on and tracks are always broken into meters so having a 300 m sprint and a mile and a half run makes sense in the US.
Awesome suit Magnus! honestly the new content makes for a nice change too, especially the army series you did !
I love how proud you were of your beautiful camera setup as you should be.
So glad Martes back in a video
💖💖
I've been loving this little series. Looking sharp my man. 1Mil subs looks close, keep up the good work 😁👌🏻
I'll watch any video you post honestly, climbing or not! I love you guys! I missed Marte too!
the transition into ad was almost seamless
Marte is back! Thank God, I started getting worried that something happened might have happened...
Also nordvpn ad in suit rocks!
I'm not gonna be a hater and say it's fake but Magnus is actually insanely fast for how much he hates running
He's an ex- world-class athlete, he's supposed to be insane
Sprinting is pretty much all leg force output, Magnus is a climber he’s gotta have strong legs
does anyone like running
@@rickyrougs i hate running on a treadmill or street running but love the feeling of having ran a lot after football
“I’m gonna pace myself”
Runs way too fast on the first lap
Thanks for the video Magnus! It’s great to see all your content even if it’s not climbing! Your positive attitude is inspirational. It’s good to know you and “Normal Girl” are still together too. 😁
This guy is extremely fit. 24 pull ups is really hard, especially doing all those with very little rest.
Just gonna say what we're all thinking... Marte is marriage material!! Marte Midtbo has a good ring to it ;)
YES, they would have great babies
@@secretagent86 now now, let's take it slow :D
@@gamersresidence6040 hahaha ok
@@gamersresidence6040 agreed lol
You can't know that just from a handful of youtube videos. Only Magnus can know. Lots of couples look good on the outside but aren't meant to last.
Magnus, who taught you how to tie a tie, or attempted to, rather?
"Everything is closed but I promise there's going to be climbing content soon."
Dude. there are trees to climb everywhere around you. :)
Next video Magnus climbs the world's oldest Sequoia
Who else literally feels like UA-cam is their best friend during Covid ?
bruh, get your friends on discord or smth
having nu-tv as your best friend is not healthy
@@riveteye93 what friends?
Definitely
@@riveteye93 did you just call youtube nü tv? Holy shit
I definitely feel this way... it's strangely comforting.
One day, Magnus gets a random call in the middle of the night.
"You have been activated. Meet at these coordinates."

Got a big scare cause my deepest fear almost came true. Thank god Magnus still decided to keep Marte the Norma girl around as his girlfriend.
Insane vid bro keep it up loved it
Isn't his final score 30? Because it literally says "Pull-ups are not counted in the total point score".
Still hella impressive, gratz bro!
It’s for the hostage rescue team where pull ups count. Doesn’t count for normal agents
12 points for passing and the agent lady said peak physical condition, like dude 12 points in 4 events that is mad easy.
@@mortenlarsen7220 I agree. HRT team has to get a minimum of 5 in each exercise. Which still isn’t too bad if you train for it but definitely much harder than normal agents
@@davidw6828 That FBI agent test i could pass that easy, and ive tranined for max strenght for years. Easy test.
It's only a bit of fun don't take it too seriously 😉
@@dave_h_8742 Yeah I know, this kind of thing is my type of comedy. Just making sure others don´t miss it :)
@@wiseturtule ok cool 🙂
So good to see Marte back! I actually had an opportunity to join the bureau in my younger years. I also live close to a climbing gym you have visited here in Georgia.😁
6:45 I love the sounds you make👀
I really like Your incredible WILL, because even though Your body is over Your limit, You are still able to push it.. I admire You, keep up the good work and content, greetings from Czech Republic 😀
I think Marte sat this one out to avoid embarrassing Magnus
As a runner myself I can say that your running results are pretty good! 💪 Especially when considering that you're not even a runner at all!
Excited for some climbing vids with Pete... let’s just try not to tear another ligament
Pete is a brilliant collaboration shame their partners won't be in it as that could be interesting teaching Marte crack climbing theory.
@@dave_h_8742 I love seeing marte, but something tells me that she doesn’t care to learn crack climbing. Lol
@@ShakespeareanBroncobuster yes and probably not keen on being on camera either.
PS. Don't think Magnus is keen to do it again either.
@@dave_h_8742 I don’t think she minds being on camera, but no one wants to be filmed doing something they don’t excel at or enjoy.
@@ShakespeareanBroncobusterVery true
dude, that's pretty impressive. That's definitely way harder than the army pft. Good stuff! You're a beast.
Please. I could do this test in my sleep. Literally. That’s the only place I can do this. In my sleep.
Magnus, does someone need to teach you how to tie a tie?
Amazing knot you got on that tie Magnus 😂😂
