Wow, fantastic to see you again. A perfect reminder that if you attacked that Leeds side, brilliant though they of course were, they were beatable IF you had good enough players - and Stoke certainly did - Hudson, Smith, Hurst, Pejic, Ritchie and others.
Remember this very well as I was 10 years old living in Aberdeenshire had been in bed with the flu, when super stoke fought back from 2-0 down I managed to get out of bed for first time in days,oh the memories!!
@@merseydave1 Don't matter for a 10 year period Leeds became the first Super team the cream of the cream to dominate for 10 years with virtually the same players week in week out season after season with only one sub is a tremendous achievement.
@@mick6370 That was your downfall ... the same team, in contrast to Liverpool F.C.who dominated domestic and unlike Leeds Won The Top Prize in Europe over and over again! Liverpool lasted for 20 years because they evolved the team by changing it slowly.
@@merseydave1Did you know Don Revie & Bill Shankly were best mates during there period of management and the main rivals on the pitch, a lot people don't know that, I agree with you with the transition the hierarchy at Leeds got everything wrong when Revie left which was already an aging team but it was a privilege to witness some great games during that period and especially against Liverpool.
@@mick6370 I am 57 so I knew that, in regard to the Clough situation ... He took another second division East Midlands club, won that division, won The First Division two European Cups, League Cups and other not so well known cups as well ... And what did Leeds do Go Down into Lower Division Insignificance ... Oh what a stupid mistake "Super Leeds" made !!!

Omg , had no idea this footage even existed. This was my first live football match I ever went to at the tender age of 9.
Same here Paul. My first game at nine years old as well. Can you remember where you were in the ground?
That's funny, it was my first game at age 7. I went with my dad and uncle.
Such sweet memories.😂😂
Nothing wrong with the Leeds goal. You can try and put it about but was no one harder than Denis Smith of Stoke
What a day
First defeat of the season 😧
Days when football was played by men, not shandy drinking pooftas
So they could loose......
Makes no differents we won the league anyway.
