WOW, I been going to the park since it opened in 1971 and seen all the changes there. My grandma's house sat just to the right of the park when facing it, so I used to walk there almost every day with season passes. I lived so close I could hear the rides, PA announcements, and guests screaming. I also worked there for two years when I was in high school. So yes, I grew up in Eureka. Now it has been a long time since I been there, but I still can't get over how much it has changed since it opened in 1971.
For starters I say they should replace the restraints on Ninja and Boomerag with the more comfortable ones found on Blue Hawk at Six Flags Over Georgia and follow that up with one of those Larson drop towers found at Silverwood or Kentucky Kingdom. An RMC raptor would be the perfect coaster where the go karts used to sit but perhaps the space where Tidal Wave sat should get an S&S 4-D Free Spin coaster or something completely different from what the company has built before like a Zierer Tower Speed Coaster similar to Wicked at Lagoon or Impulse at Knoebels. But if there's one thing this park needs more than anything else, it's an RMC renovation of the Boss (I am surprised it hasn't gotten one already).
Sfstl is soaring. The park is so much more enjoyable. Six flags has vastly improved the appearance of the park and the attendance has looked like it is rising. I think the management might have finally figured out. Hoping they rmc Boss pretty soon.
I’m so glad I rode Superman tower before they got rid of it. Super scary world never do it again but I’m glad I did it. I would definitely be down for the Wonder Woman ride! I’ve been once this season with my husband and in a few weeks we are taking the kids as well. I think a big gap is the in between age stage... my kids are too big for most of the rides in the kids section but they can’t ride a lot of the big coasters either. While I do think we need another coaster, I would also be excited about a new flat ride. I am really excited though because this will be the kids first time on Metropolis and I know they will love it!!
I really want them to RMC The Boss because every time I ride it, it takes me a couple days to recover from the back pain it causes me and it also gives me a huge headache. Layout is awesome, but it really needs to be smooth for me to enjoy it
@@joshy89litchfield If they did iron horse treatment like Goliath at Great America, then they would have to redo all the supports and stuff so that would be demolishing it, but if they just did the topper track, then they could still add a bunch of fun elements, but keep the original structures.

I’m almost positive they removed tidal wave to build a surprise coaster for the 2021(50th anniversary) season. I bet the only reason that didn’t happen was cuz of covid. Now it could be pushed to 2023 since catwoman’s whip is 2022. There is a small chance that we could get 2 additions in 1 year, but I doubt they would add 2 huge rides like that in 1 year
I just visited your park for the first time on Friday and while I liked the entrance to the park, on the whole it felt like it was a more neglected park than it was taken care of. Maybe it was because it was a Friday afternoon but the park seemed really quiet. A skeleton crew running different attractions. Shops in the entrance all closed. There appears to be a lot of potential with this park but it is tucked back way off the road. If there was a way to utilize the area closer to the interstate where the parking lot is overrun by weeds, it would help build excitement maybe to bring in more
I'm hoping for an RMC coaster! I've heard people talking about wanting an RMC Boss, but they think it would be too expensive. I have honestly only heard of RMC today, so I've been watching a couple RMC coaster POV videos. They look fantastic! I am really looking forward to Catwoman Whip, and I am looking forward to riding Fireball for the first time this year.
Everyone wants to Rmc the boss. And while that would be great and I would be one of those standing in line for hours to ride, I would be just as happy if they did a complete GCI retrack and profile and added the millennium flyer trains!!! The boss has so much potential with its layout!! If they could just get it to smooth out and take the turns better!! But I believe the next new coaster will be the raptor or a free spin. Unfortunately sfsl doesn’t seem to get much money spent on it as of late
I am appreciative and encouraged by the many, small park enhancements we’re finally now getting. Crowds this year have been pretty massive. I hope we can get some new rides to eat the crowds, especially some high capacity ones. The many years of lagging investment in new rides seems to be coming home to roost with a lot of ride downtime. After having been to some other parks recently like Holiday World and Kentucky Kingdom I finally have something to appreciate about SFSTL, despite it’s staleness, and that is their ride operations. I think SFSTL shines overall in ride op hustle and enthusiasm, compared to rivals Holiday World and especially Kentucky Kingdom. KK has a few standouts but there are many where the kids have no hustle and there’s a general ride atmosphere of “no one is in charge”. Also kudos to SFSTL with the 50th Anniversary additions that they’ve just started bringing in. I am so in favor of getting some new life breathed into SFSTL I would accept raising pass and ticket prices to help us get some new rides and cut the crowds. Maybe the SF discount park business model doesn’t work anymore because it doesn’t provide enough capital to be always refreshing each park with new rides and experiences? That would be an interesting video topic. Also if there’s anything SFSTL could do to improve restaurant speed I’d be in favor of that. I can’t think of anywhere in the park that can handle the slightest crowd. Our last visit to Johnny Rockets we waited 70 minutes....🤔And of course we had the Memorial Day Turkey Leg debacle. 🍗
I was at Six flags St. Louis back in March and it’s a great park. They were doing what they can. For KK we just switched to Herchant family entertainment so expect a-lot of changes coming
Wow, STLFL needs to return to its roots. Family fun. After what Disney is doing to their parks by out pricing guests, making them pay for every little thing, making a regular hotel room be labeled as a resort, building rides where there is not enough room for que’s. I know I an old fart that was part of SF history, when families came in droves to the park because they they didn’t wa t to spend all day and only get three rides.
I just want a nice coaster. Doesn't have to be a giga or a mega. Just something that can one up the Mr.Freeze. I feel like most of the rides are underwhelming unless you're very young or have never been on coasters. This is my home Six Flags as well and it's been a bit of a let down that the best rides came out while I was young and nothing has been better since.
Six Flags corporate neglects the St. Louis park so much I wouldn't expect any of these predictions to actually happen. With the exception of Cat Woman's Whip. I've been visiting this park since the 1970's and have only watched it slowly go down hill. Gawd knows they need some new attractions, and I'm not just talking coasters either. They have enough cheap flat rides. What I'd like to see them invest in would be a new heavily themed dark ride, something that is extremely lacking in all of the SF parks. Just my opinion but I predict that after Cat Woman's Whip, there won't be any significant additions to this park for for 2 to 3 years after that with the exception of some minor maintenance issues being addressed.
With steel priced very high right now I would not be surprised if Cat Woman's whip gets delayed a bit while Six Flags waits for prices to return to normal for steel.
I think you mean a Chance Rides hyper. They actually advertise the Morgan hypers on their website. I think they could be the Six Flags go to for coasters with hyper and even giga heights. They now use Ride Centerline's Joe Draves to design all there coasters so Imagine a coaster with a first drop profiled more like Kentucky Kingdom's Lightning Run's first drop, except twice or triple the size! Follow that with another large airtime hill and sizeable turn around and a return to the station resembling the low to the ground elements of Lightning Run. That's what I'm talking about!
@@lay10vids I would pick an S&S Hyper with an old school airtime-filled layout like Magnum XL-200, but with a Batwing or a cobra roll at the far end because why not? That would probably lower the price closer to Six Flags' budget instead of the 20 million price tag Kennywood got.
I'd like to see a raptor where tidal wave was and a 4d free spin where the Go-Karts were. A kiddy coaster is a must. I'd like to see a giant pendulum style ride. I'd also like to see some revamps to the older parts of the park
I went to the park a few times this year, I think some of the things they need to work on is having a lot of the smaller rides be open far more often to spread out the guests more evenly through the park. On top of that, possibly adjusting some of the coaster cars to accommodate bigger people. I'm 6'1" and 260lbs and my friends are roughly the same size. Waiting 30-45 minutes to ride Pandemonium just to be told we can't ride it is a really bad time. Another thing is staffing. I went to the park in June and October. A lot of rides were closed despite the park being packed. There were also bees EVERYWHERE (in October) near soda machines, wood queuing areas, etc. The park needs a queuing overhaul of sorts and possibly some test seats at the front of the queue to see if you can ride the rides. I don't think its fair to compare SFSTL to something like Universal Orlando or Disneyworld, not by a longshot, but I think SFSTL could take some serious inspiration from those parks. The six flags app reminds me a lot of Disney's, which is nice, but having live queue times on the phone would be really nice and I don't think that would be crazy hard to implement. I really hope Six Flags stops neglecting SFSTL and gives it more attention. I know the park had been struggling the past few years, but 2021 saw the park near capacity a LOT while also running a skeleton crew and I'm sure they are making money.
I am almost 90 percent sure that our next new roller coaster will be built where Tidle Wave use to be. And I'm betting construction will begin in late 2023 for a grand opening in 2024 :)

I wish six flags could have gotten the hillside behind eagle as a coaster going up the mountain would be intense. Can't wait and welcome to 2022 season. Not liking the new CEO and slashing passes membership and dining passes.
Six flags St. Louis is a great park. It doesn’t feel like a six flags park but it has its ups and downs. But over all I like it. I liked the autophere of it compared to other parks I have been to. For future stuff I can see a kids coaster for coming as well as a raptor clone or even a Zamperla discovery.
I hope so! Then we could get a 4D free spin themed to the joker! The real reason it’s closed tho is because we don’t have enough workers to keep everything going. It’s quite sad tbh
@@brandonkienzler4842 I have said everything I know sadly. I am crossing my fingers they will announce something today since it is national roller coaster day so please six flags please
@@brandonkienzler4842 (don’t tell anyone else but I do have some insider knowledge the park manager said that there would be a big announcement in august and to me that does not sound like catwomans whip)
Six Flags St. Louis BADLY needs a new coaster. They need to tear down both Ninja and Boomerang and put some better and more modern steel coasters. Understand that St. Louis has not gotten a newly built modern steel coaster since I think 1998 (and a fully circled steel coaster since 1995) and is BADLY due for a new steel coaster to replace the aging Ninja and Boomerang.
Here’s what I would do if I controlled the park, but trying to stay realistic. 2022: Catwoman Whip in the spot of Superman, but along side that, I would have GCI install 200 feet worth of Titan track on Boss. This would be the year the park goes all out on the 50 year celebration with new festivals taking place all year. At the end of the season, you’d see Boomerang get the axe. 2023: a Jersey Devil-variant coaster in the spot of Tidal Wave and Boomerang. This variant would not have a mid-course and would only run with three trains, which is fine for Six Flags St. Louis. Leaving out those two features would drive down the cost. I believe that this ride would have some DC theme, maybe Wonder Woman. Either that or Superman. This year, you’d see another 100 foot section of The Boss retracked with Titan track. 2024: kids area revamp with a new kiddie coaster added and maybe two other new kid’s rides. This year, you would also see another major addition to The Boss: the three main turnarounds and mid course would all be lowered/retracked to ensure the ride doesn’t valley. This addition would mean that 600 feet of track would be replaced with Titan Track. At the end of the season, Joker Inc. would close. 2025: Joker Inc. would be replaced by a new Zamperla Giant Discovery named Joker’s Wildcard. This addition would come alongside bumper cars in the building that is by where the ride is and by the exit of Batman. These two new additions to that end of the park would warrant a retheme of the area into Gotham City. Besides these two new additions, another 100 section of The Boss would be retracked with Titan Track. Also at the end of the season, Ninja would close permanently. 2026: this would be an off year for the park. This year, 300 feet of track would be replaced on The Boss, making a majority of the ride Titan Track. This year would bring fresh paint to at least two attractions, one being the log flume and the other being Batman: The Ride. 2027: a new coaster would open in the place of Ninja. It would probably be an S&S Axis coaster themed to Harley Quinn.
@Tyler Jacobsmeyer really what I’d like to see on the Eagle is just mild retracting (it’s still very smooth in my opinion), a fresh repaint, and maybe some chaser lights on the lift, drop, and speed hill before going into the woods. Plus a complete station overhaul and queue line refresh. Whenever Superman was built, they funneled the entrance into a small midway game area/arcade and it honestly made the entrance hard to find. Believe it or not, though SDC has always been my home park since I was born, but Screaming Eagle was my first big coaster when I was 5 back in 2007. It has been one of my favorites for a long time. When I was younger, I would get standing airtime! If they ever were to do a revamp, the PTC’s must stay.
@Tyler Jacobsmeyer For a ride like this, I don't think the park (or I for that matter) would see the need to get Infinity Flyer trains for a ride like Screaming Eagle. Those trains are more expensive then PTC trains and generally are articulated for rides with tight turns and such. I think they'd overhaul the trains for Screaming Eagle and have PTC rebuild them, but I think the next ride to get new trains would definitely be The Boss. I haven't had a problem with the seat divider yet; I usually keep my hands up on that ride or I rest one arm on top of it like an armrest. But the reason I tend to like the PTCs more, besides the nostalgia, is that the lap bars don't tend to get pushed down all the way and you have more room for airtime. The airtime on The Eagle is good, but I think having Millennium Flyers or Timberliners would seriously damper it. Especially since both trains are far lighter and would mean the ride would run slower.
Great video, good points. But who knows? If RMC and Fun Spot Atlanta see a successful introduction of the RMC family coaster model (if that is in fact what they're building down there) then SFSTL might see that as a more viable option.
I could see a massive gravity group woodie at this park for some reason. Either that, the raptor or a Morgan hyper. It would be kinda cool for SFSTL to be a park filled with wooden rollercoasters (kinda like Holiday World and Mt. Olympus).
What about Gravity Group retracking The Boss like they did Hades 360? Maybe replace one of the airtime hills running alongside the station with a barrel roll like Mine Blower, and replace the old Gerstlauer trains with Timberliners.
Siz Flags STL isn’t terrible, but it’s still one of the lowest ranking parks in the chain. The OBVIOUS answer is an RMC’d Boss. It’s the biggest ride in the park, but many refuse to ride it because of how rough it is. There is no major steel coaster in the park, and an RMC rework would fill that void. Six Flags STL, if you are reading this: STOP INSTALLING CARNIVAL RIDES!

This is my home park. Would love to go a like a stream event as one rollercoaster enthusiast to anoyher
So it was Catwomans whip, rookie racer and zamperla frisbee
I’m going to six flags Friday
Six flags St. Louis is a great park. It doesn’t feel like a six flags park but it has its ups and downs. But over all I like it. I liked the autophere of it compared to other parks I have been to. For future stuff I can see a kids coaster for coming as well as a raptor clone or even a Zamperla discovery.
@YoungKY agree and I tbink they see what it has in it
@YoungKY I went to it last year with a friend it’s a nice place
JOKER, Inc. has been closed for over a week now... anyone know anything? Worried that will be the next to go.
I hope so! Then we could get a 4D free spin themed to the joker! The real reason it’s closed tho is because we don’t have enough workers to keep everything going. It’s quite sad tbh
No way it’s been 10 years great America my home park has had 5 new coasters I can think of off the top of my head
Why would you not RMC The Boss
I dought we will get. New coaster. We do get a ton of water park improvements
I agree
I’m hoping for a raptor or an S&S freespin
Thank you some much for responding to my email with this! :D Your the best!!!!
Edit: unless you had this planned before then but either way thanks
I had a feeling your email gave me more confidence in my thoughts!!!
@@DestinationThrills Cool!! 😃
@@Blitzol you don’t have to tell me what the info is, but do you know something that the rest of us don’t?😁
Disneyland adventures over the Midwest
I want SFSTL to hybrid-ize the screaming eagle and the boss!!!
Superman Power of Tower
Great video, good points. But who knows? If RMC and Fun Spot Atlanta see a successful introduction of the RMC family coaster model (if that is in fact what they're building down there) then SFSTL might see that as a more viable option.
It’s not a family hybrid. Trust me… you will be shocked! ❤️🎢
hershened should buy sfsl
We need a coaster
I found my teacher in this video
Aye
I could see a massive gravity group woodie at this park for some reason. Either that, the raptor or a Morgan hyper. It would be kinda cool for SFSTL to be a park filled with wooden rollercoasters (kinda like Holiday World and Mt. Olympus).
the park already has 3 wooden coasters
@@Chuckyriggs I know. I’ve visited SFSTL before. 😉
I don’t even need RMC boss. I personally like the layout of the ride. I would be super happy with just a good ol GCI retrack.
Do great america pls
Honestly, this park is too far gone. The Boss is absolute garbage.
We need bumper cars and a safer Tom's Twister.
