How long ago was it that they used to be incredibly rare? I think my first encounter with both the stone owl and capsule were maybe 4 years ago at this point.
My farmer recently divorced Elliott & when she met him later on (and he didn’t remember 😇), my reaction to Elliott‘s dialogue (It's always a pleasure to see you.) was imaging DF sarcastically saying, „Elliott, I literally just divorced you.“ 😅
it's the lowest floor because that is the largest integer number, now it rarely matters since no one will get there usually but in games where it matters more, like cookie clicker and stuff they use different tactics like putting a multitude of different numbers, turning the numbers to letters (1m / 1b / 1t and so on) or long int which is much larger :D love the video, i miss the stardew valley days

The reason why that is the last floor is because Stardew Valley is coded in C#, basically you can make a number "Int32" which goes up to only a little above 2 billion. Or Int64 that will go much higher. He made it Int32 as that is the quickest and most efficient method and theres no point of making it Int64 as you cant possibly go that far. I hope I explained it well enough lol, thats the jist of it.
Its not that he couldn't have made it higher theirs just not really a point to it and it takes up more space in the game overall. Its a technical limitation.
Also the highest amount of money that you can have in Stardew Valley also happens to be the same exact number as the levels in Skull Cavern so they were both coded using Int32 instead of 64 for the same reason. Hope this helps
Glad to finally see another Stardew video on your channel. I don't know if ConcerndApe increased the odds but I got the Stone Owl year 1 around summer 17th on my 1.6 save. I had one night suddenly a blackscreen before level up of my skills and the overview how much money I got. The screen was completely black with a megafone icon on the bottom left to visuallice that a sound is plaied. The sound was the sound of an owl. Took me 2 days to find the statue (ok maybe it was a bad idea to wait till night.
This was the reason I started watching you, I continued watching a few more years but this was the best series and after it ended my interest eventually faded.
df I really don't know if you read your comments now like you used to back in the day when you did a lot of stardew videos and ideas but if you do me and everyone that used to watch you back in the day would really want you to return to stardew from time to time at least, the stardew UA-cam seen is not the same without you as you are one of the founders of it and I'm sure everyone agrees so please consider it.
I Love how the achievement "Beloved Farmer" Pops up the following day after you were dumped by all of them. Oh btw, I have had 3 of those capsules on my saves. What freaks me out about those is after one escapes you see a shadow like guy run across the edges of your screen. Yes the stone owl does appear. Usually it spawns around my farm animals (where they is enough empty space.) I only saw the sea monster one ONCE, I didn't know about it before hand so I was freaked out.
