Thanks for the video, I was able to use it to get my Dolmar going after it's sat dead for 3 years! I didn't realize I missed putting one of the gaskets in when I rebuilt the carburetor. I noticed after I watched your video. Thanks again for the detailed rebuild video!
Dolmar is not made by Husqvarna. It's a stand alone German brand that has been making chainsaws for almost 100 years. It's been bought by Makita recently.
r3dpuma Makita purchased in 1991, Dolmar manufactured each model in different colors with Makita being teal or blue . Now they have completely switched to the Makita brand as of about a year ago .
They are still making dolmar saws, actually makita doesn´t make saws. afaik they never did. they just slap on there blue plastic on existing dolmar designs.
Yes thats true makita has owned dolmar for long time. Specs are available on line by pdf model number. The 5105/makita ea5000p/maruyama mcv 51 settings are this 1&1/2 turns ccw from seated. Both low and high!! Idle is really fully adjustable also and can be fine tuned. Run 1 tank of VP 50:1 in tank too But that popoff spring wont hold the needle closed. Just like a gas can plastic swelling in the sun and collapsing when cool. They absolutely refused to change that MF spring.I just bought a makita being its a 2019 model I believe its been in garage pole barn in heat about 3-4 weeks. If the rope dont wanna turn and you want your blood pressure in check just pop off the 3 clips take plug out and pull a few times. Leave top off till it starts. I am Praying mines not flooded but if it is that means they still havent fixed the GD problem. Only been doing it about 13 years. Otherwise great saws.
Dolmar was the Original brand, and Mr. Lerp is credited for producing the very first chainsaw, albeit a two man behemoth. Andreas Stihl later took credit for the first one man saw. Makita bought out the Brand in 1991, and shut it down in 2022. BOO Makita! Better develop some ‘Real’ batteries, if you're expecting any performance outta those battery saws! Sheesh! And Boo to all the New deal whack jobs! Yeah! I believe you need to ditch those ‘Crapsman’ screwdrivers, and get a good Phillips screwdriver, and I think is is a T27 that is needed for the screws? It looked like your T25 was slipping some. Saw sounds rough. I think it has been run too many times, and ‘put up wet’ as they say? I applaud you on the tear down and the reassembly. Don’t forget the air filter! Peace
I am not sure why he did not show how he took off the throttle linkage or how he reinstalled the linkage back again?? Was it intentionally not shown hmm...
great tutorial, but half of it was either unfocused or out of camera view! Try it again with a friend to work the camera. don't give up, your doing good work my friend.
Codeman... just wanted to thank you for your efforts. It's a bit too easy to criticize videos because we, the viewer, don't always get what we want. Thanks again.
Codeman in Action Dolmar actually made the first gasoline powered chainsaw, definitely not manufactured by Husqvarna. It's German not Swedish, other than that pretty good video...
Dolmar is NOT made by Husqvarna, they originally made by Dolmar themselves then Makita bought them out. Which makes them made by Makita. And Makita is NOT owned by Husqvarna. And you never use brake cleaner on a carb, you use carb and choke cleaner. If you don't get all the brake cleaner out of any holes or groves in the carb it can dry out the gaskets and diaphragms. And if you had that much saw dust in the carb you need to clean or replace the air filter (most likely replace). So please know your stuff before putting the wrong info out.

When it comes to being made by Husquvarna, I think you have Dolmar Confused with Jonsered. Good repair video!

Some of those carburetors have the adjustment screws encased in epoxy so they can't be removed or adjusted.
Someone gave me a working saw just like this. Great little saw. Learning things with it. German saw right?
I believe that you may have forgot to show the air filter being put back on. 👍
How did you clean that filter? Not with carb cleaner I guess?
Is it normal very high compression 510 dolmar .

Huge pity that we didn't get focussed close ups!
Very helpful tutorial bud. Thank you very much. Pretty sure Dolmar is made by Makita, though.

What model is it? Thanks
It helped me! Thanks!
I see a lot of parts removed and that scares me. What is the minimum amount of parts to remove to clean a carburetor?
Unfortunately, it tends to vary from saw to saw.
Dolmar made by Husq. stopped watching right then.
Great Tutorial
Air filter missing at the end of cleaning???? It is dismissed!
saw sounds great
How to adjust sachs dolmar 123 carporator
