Taqiyya is for Shia, Muda'rat is for Sunni.
They are both tactical deceit for the purpose of spreading Islam.

Daruna is the deceit through necessity (to engage in something haram to exploit non-muslims)

According to Reliance of the Traveller, book R, 8.0 Lying is obligatory on all Muslims.
Book R, 2.2 says that slandering people you dislike is permitted.
Book R, 8.2 (page 744 in the book, or pg. 762 in the PDF) lying is good as it brings about peace whenever there is a disagreement.
There are 3 areas where lying is permitted: 1) in the time of war, 2) in settling a disagreement (such as lying in an argument), and 3) lying to your spouse.
Lying is particularly supported when the Muslim needs to achieve an objective, especially when it benefits Islam.
Taqiyya is used in war as a tactical deceit, and to spread Islam, according to Lloyd.
Book R, 8.3 the word Tawriya is used to describe someone who is using a misleading impression.
Lying is encouraged when it is better to do so in a case where to tell the truth would bring about bad.
In the book ‘Ihya Ulum al Din’, written by Al Ghazzali, mentions that false speaking is at times compulsory. Ghazzali says, “False Speaking (lying), is better than speaking the truth”.
He stipulates 3 times when lying is obligatory:
1) To bring about a compromise between two disputing parties
2) In the context of war
3) Between a wife and a husband.
He goes on to say that lying is also permissible when it benefits a Muslim, or removes some form of harm (such as doubt), or to save his honor.
The word which is used for lying in the Reliance of the Traveller is “Hiyal”, which is defined as a form of “Legalistic Trickery”. It is also known as contortion (i.e. twisting the meaning), or contrivance (i.e. scheming), or expedience (i.e. getting an advantage), or a device (i.e. to trick someone), or subterfuge.
Hiyal, in the context of commerce allows someone to break the law or circumvent it if need be, even to the point of deceiving the customer, so that the Muslim can win a contract.
Adab al-djadal is another word which is used for debating, where the intent is not to define truth, but to say anything in order to convince your opponent, or the audience, and thus win the debate. One can even trick the other in order to win the debate.
Da’wah, which we have been told is ‘evangelism’ or ‘to invite’ is considered in the Reliance of the Traveller as a form of propaganda, to pretend, in order to bring people to Islam.
“Eristic Refutation” is a form of disputation, or even a form of haggling, which is used in Islam as a means to win an argument, and can be an end in itself."

Many people are unaware that "Law" is a double-edged sword. On one hand, it enhances peace and harmony by defining the dos and don'ts of the social group. Exacerbating the issue is the herd mentality prevalent in human society, coupled with the common tendency of individuals to remain silent as a means of self-preservation and avoid being ostracized, which permits wrongdoings to persist unchecked and ultimately spiral out of control.
The radical Muslims, the lefties activists, and the unscrupulous politicians apply finger-pointing, name-calling, and smearing tactics to censor or rob others of their rights to express their views while using every possible propaganda to impose their skewed values on them and even to brutally attack them.
Being good is a universal aspiration, regardless of race or religion, because the rewards for kindness and the backlash for unkindness are often almost instant, and karma is hard to ignore. Unfortunately, radical religious teachings advocate separation, discrimination, hate, violence, clergy supremacy, male domination, slavery of females, bullying, persecution, deception, plunder, active procreation, and absolute obedience. When manipulated by unethical leaders to influence the making or enforcement of laws, they can turn their followers into extremely aggressive and destructive machines. Coming from the North and living some time in Bradford have some knowledge of Muslims. My observation is how radical Muslims treat women based on the idea a women is only worth half of a man. Example a Muslim jury trying a man would require 24 women. Britain as all Western countries it is the law that all children must be educated and attend school. This includes girls. Some girls attend schools that insist school uniform is worn and wearing of hijab discouraged. A significant proportion of these girls do well at school and gain entrance to university and a lot of Muslim fathers would rather pay for their sons to go to uni. Daughters have arranged marriges collecting in some cases large doweries. It is known that educated girls will dissapear from home. Take a false name, work in a different area, save money to finance university. Hence Muslim detectives to find these girls bring them back. Some end badly with honour killings. The answer is free education for all. Education solves poverty, education solves unequality, it must be free for everyone including further education.

Nono. Christianity does say the word of God is true, immutable etc. We follow it to this day. They weren't following it back then. You're right that neither of you are experts.

A thousand years ago Christianity wasn't "like that". Christianity has never changed. It's just a thousand years ago a minority of Christians were peaceful, but they generally means only a minority were actually Christian. Christianity has a huge nominal following today and even bigger historically. The nominals reflect the overall society. Society in general in the West was a bit more violent historically. The influence of real Christianity quelled that over time.
Not saying that Christianity being peaceful means we can't have soldiers. There were more causes for just war for example defending against vikings. Ironically the vikings attacking Christian lands was what caused their home countries to all become Christian. This would have likely largely been nominal.
Real Christians would have been persecuted throughout history. For example popery would have once executed you for having a bible in your own language. Maybe they were trying to hide something.
If there's a majority of peaceful Muslims who do you think the (large) minority thinks are the real Muslims? Who do you think the sources say are the real ones and what to do with the "hypocrites"? What do their sources say was the best generation of Muslims? What did that generation do? (killed tens of thousands of other Muslims).
If he's referring to the crusades that was mostly defensive, as the mohammedan lands were originally more Christian than Europe and they were encroaching even on France having taken all of Spain and made the Mediterranean sea a no-go zone. That's what caused the dark ages.
