You are not judging her, you are stating a fact
I are awesome I love your reaction to all these people hope you have a great day or night
I'm a new subscriber hair Buddha and I can't tell you how much I am enjoying your Channel. I've been up all night watching your videos. You are such a kind and genuine human being. You don't mince your words and I appreciate that. This topic is very serious. Shaving your head because of a terrible coloring fail is minimal to the type of things that can happen by an inexperienced person using these extremely strong chemicals. I cringe when I see the sloppiness of these young people using bleach so close to their eyes. Not only are you extremely entertaining but you are doing a wonderful public service. By the way if you don't mind my saying so you are also absolutely adorable. Much respect to anyone you may be sharing your life with. LOL wishing you a fabulous 2023.
It was disgusting that she tried to sue Gorilla Glue over her own stupidity.
😂😂😂
i may be a terrible person for this, but i cannot feel bad for her at this point
it was stupid enough to use a professional grade adhesive on your hair
but to mess with your hair again after such a "traumatic" event is beyond stupid
how do people like this survive daily?
Seriously, like she legit pissed me off.
As a bald and grey bearded man, I don’t know why I watch your videos. It must be your personality. You my friend, are a good man. All the best from Scotland.
😂 That's awesome! I agree he has a great personality!
Isnt he just the sweetest? He always says something positive. I've learned a lot although I put no chemicals in my hair other than shampoo and hair gel. And its super short. Interesting nonetheless.
I lost my hair twice to alopecia. I lost all of it!! It was very upsetting. So..when it grew back in it was WHITE! The autoimmune disease kills the melatonin cells in the hair follicles. I no longer dye my hair and get soooo many compliments on my white/salt-n-pepper hair! A little purple shampoo and conditioner keeps it looking great! Ladies, don’t buy into that false fountain of youth! Be yourself, be beautiful 😍
I agree salt and pepper hair looks lovely. However if you wanted to try to go a brown colour, I have started using a brown shampoo and conditioner that you use normally. The colour starts to take slowly on the white/grey to cover it. First it goes a gingerly colour then starts to darken. Im pleased with it so far, its quick and easy to use.
@Sarah plantur 39 colour Brown. You leave it on for maybe a minute or two, make sure you rinse your bath or shower after. It is basically just a normal shampoo, sometimes i dont leave it on i just rinse straight off. x
@Sarah your welcome!
Excellent comment! Thank you.
🖤
Imagine being that doctor, who went through so much work coming up with his own solvent to save her hair, watching her just wreck everything he had done for free.
Meanwhile there were plenty of people who could of used the Doctors time and not continued being stupid.
He still got the glue out, all she did was dye it, right?
Yeah but that's how gifting works. You can't tell people how to feel or react to your gift. Sucks but that's life.
Are we all forgetting that this Dr was eager to help her to see if their techniques would work to get the glue off? They openly admitted they got something out of this too, it wasn’t just charity but an opportunity for the Doctor. They were helping her avoid permanent scalp damage, not just trying to save her hair.
If I was the Dr I’d shrug and move on…my accomplishments are still on my resume. I wouldn’t expect her to never cut or take chances with her hair for the rest of her life, that’s absurd.
@@TahtahmesDiary
Not to mention it helped get the doctor exposure for his work, it's not as if the incident didn't generate lots of media attention and wasn't the most talked about topic at the time. The Doctor benefited from helping her too.
So glad you made this video. As a hairstylist myself, I have seen so many things. I remember telling clients that their hair can't handle something and they would get mad. Then they would come back after damaging their hair at home, wanting me to make it all better again. Leave the chemical services to the professionals.
Brilliant comment 👏
Ok but if you need a warning label to NOT put gorilla glue in your hair, you probably shouldn't be unsupervised.
😂
tbh she looks like she uses wig, extension, eyelash, and nail glues/adhesives on a regular basis so I can almost understand why she would think all adhesives would act the same :/ I knew a girl who used to use hot glue for extensions because she didn’t like the smell of extension glue. common sense can become warped I guess 😬
@@seafoxx777 girl no. Not every adhesive is skin safe and its absolutely indicative of 0 brain cells to think otherwise 🤦♀️
IKR 😞
🙈😂
What is wrong with this girl? Her real hair looked so pretty and really suited her. Why on earth would she risk it again? I think there is some deep-seated insecurity going on here - but messing with her hair won’t fix it.
And by the way, that “Gorilla Glue doctor”, who helped her the first time, is a superhero!
I believe she is old enough to heat the song lyrics to unpretty,
A 90s song about love yourself as you are!!?
🤦♀️ you would think after that experience she would be more careful and cautious with how she treats and process her hair
im glad she didnt try perming it or anything like that but she still should have looked up how to do it
*mch*
Agreed.
Thank you for speaking about this! I color and cut my hair at home, and I’ve recently become allergic to ammonia. I bought a color off eBay and because I watch your videos, I did a small test patch behind my ear before coloring my whole head. Within 2 minutes of doing the test patch, my skin started to burn and become red and swollen! 😱 I’m soooo glad I tested it before just slapping the color on my head. I just stick to semi permanent colors now that contain no ammonia and I’m alright.
I don't know if you have Syoss there, but I always have permanent dye of Syoss with oil and without ammonia.
I have SEVERE allergies to ppd. I used to do semi permanent but it got seriously annoying and costly. I had to dye my hair weekly.
I FINALLY found a color which lasts after 10 years and TONS of research and hospital trips.....Goldwell Elumen. I love jet black hair and it delivered. It's expensive and takes alot of steps but it has lasted soooo long. I will now only have to color 2-3 times a YEAR!! It is phenomenal.
As a nurse I always remember to read labels 3 times as one does when passing medication
1. When I pick up bottle
2. Before I open container
3. Before returning container to storage
From one nurse to another, Amen sis! Preach!
A training nurse pulled 3mL of insulin instead of 3 units. Luckily, I was like, “Where are you going with that? What is it?” She would’ve killed that patient.
I work in science and I like to use the same approach when testing. Good advice 😊👍
Yes. She did say it's hair dye and that she thought that her hair was strong enough for chemicals. At this point though, I wonder if it's not partly about the attention she's getting. 🤷🏾♀️
it's totally about the attention, but I'd say that it's about the attention she's NOT getting, if you know what I mean...
this feels too much like she's trying to replicate her (now long gone) 15 minute of fame by being just as naive as the previous time and then throwing herself another pity party
also, some people just never learn
Thats some drastic measures for attention.... Lol
well seeing her job is hair dresser... she owns a salon! how did she not know any of this? attention 100% i thought it from the 1st video
@@HorrorHistorys OMG 😱 She's a hairdresser? SMH
@@michellebarnhill5130 😮
Oh dear, I think if I still had hair after gorilla glue I would not want to touch it for long time.
Indeed
Ever again!
I don't understand how people don't learn their lessons, I spent a lot of time in lockdown changing my hair to different colours, I admit I shouldn't have don't that because I out my scalp and hair through so much, I now, for the last year have had such a dry scalp, it literally gets scabs on it sometimes, I learnt my lesson and I am letting my hair grow out, lots of hair masks and I'm enjoying my grey hairs coming out 😊
1 yr is enough time to where I can at least see why she thought it might be okay to dye it. That’s really wild! I really appreciate how you share these cautionary tales, and advice on how to avoid making all sorts of hair mistakes.
No. 1 year is not enough when your scalp was suffocating for over a month. Had a toxic product on her hair and scalp for over a month then chemicals were used to remove the toxic product.
Any intelligent person would have went to a professional to make sure her scalp was ok.
This person has common sense problems, and I’m shocked she made it past the age of 25!!!!
Thank you, people acting like she would never do anything to her hair again are absurd. We all know people who wreck havoc on their hair back to back even as it turns weird colors and falls out in chunks. This isn’t new and waiting a year or so likely sounded right to her…as it does to most people. We see it here on YT every day and we will keep seeing it so long as they keep selling boxes of hair dye at every local store.
@@serena201288 A person with money might go to a salon. A person who didn’t even have anymore gel so chose to use the one thing on hand (glue), probably not. People chronically dying and messing with their hair doesn’t have anything to do with making it to a certain age, y’all are beyond dramatic.
@@TahtahmesDiary yes but normal ppl don’t use the products she uses on her hair box dye , bleach , to much developer , too much toner .. ok that’s stupid but come on her let’s damage my hair is a whole different level
I think she used a relaxing product to relax the curls and isn’t being totally honest..and that for sure will do it,plus she’s hoping people will feel sorry for her and companies will send her free wigs.
I think Gorilla Glue woman reads just enough of the instructions of a product to be able to launch a law suit as a victim.
good response
Sam
I agree we all know it's not for hair, I use Gorilla glues on their cement glues they tell you avoid contact with skin etc on the label
@@RavenVargas27 I don't know if gorilla glue is different in the USA as it is in the uk and this isn't shade to this woman but I used this glue and I might as will be using a glue stick. I don't know how I feel about this woman does she understand what she's doing don't put it online for everyone to laugh at. 😕
@@michellehorton8698
I agree. In the US Gorilla Cement Glue is rock hard get in on your hair you need a hospital to remove it, their wood glue is the same but if you accidentally got it on your hair "I did once" soaking in a hot bath or a damp towel kept on it will soften it that's how I remove it from wood. It's probably a different formula in other countries
@@michellehorton8698 I accidentally got Gorilla Glue on my skin once without realizing it, and glued my fingers together. I had to cut my skin off on each side to separate my fingers.
When not knowing when to leave well enough alone manifests into a person. Thank you, Hair Buddha, for addressing the seriousness of these products!
I remember this lady and I think a lot of comments here could be correct with their assumption that this lady probably knew this was gonna happen.
She got massive attention, attention feels nice, she probably wanted to feel that again.
So I would understand her, even though I don't support her decision.
I am glad for the message you gave in this video and the warning about all chemical products we put on our heads that shouldn't be underestimated.
It can never be good to put harsh chemicals on your head frequently and we should be more aware about it.
Thank you for this video.
I don't buy that she would do this to herself for attention. Most of it was negative attention and most of it was unkind, so I don't believe she would wreck her hair on purpose. She had long hair.
It ended up potentially saving her life tho because I believe she found out she had/has a medical condition (cancer maybe) that she didn’t know she had
Agree, she made some cash.
@@jessiep2471 she donated most of it ($20,000 out of the $23,000)
@@Augustbeauty69 people do all types of things to themselves for attention. negative or positive they don't care... . have you heard of internet fads and challenges?
I think people may have the idea that "chemicals" are dangerous things, but that household things like coconut oil aren't chemicals. They're wrong- everything in the universe is made of chemicals (including us). Randomly mixing "harmless" chemicals can quickly result in dangerous situations!
Read the product. Amen! Got2B glued is not just for wigs. It is for your hair. The wig thing came after. I don’t even know if the product suggests it be used for wigs. That being said. She was slicking her hair into a ponytail. That wasn’t a wig she glued down. That was her real hair. She had slicked it with gel, and then wrapped a scarf 🧣 on it to hold it down. Then she would use the G2B to “freeze” it in place.
G2B is not like Ghost Bond or weave glue. It is water soluble. You can wash it away (or sweat it away).
I love that you aren't judgemental. Always come to your videos before I do anything to my scalp or hair. You have saved me from quite a few mishaps I can tell you! Thank you ❤️
i'm happy for that
Zero judgement, but I think women should learn to embrace their grey hairs. When men start to go grey it's considered handsome, why not us? Why do we have to look as young as possible for as long as possible?
I started getting grey hairs in my 20s, and my hair is dark so they're very visible. But they kinda sparkle and I think they're pretty.
Again, no judgement. Do whatever makes you happy and feel good. I just... don't like the double standards put on us.
In my photo, I was colouring my own hair because (sorry Hair Buddha) I hate going to salons. I then found a brilliant hairdresser and decided to go my natural computer. So glad I did. It’s unique and in good condition. To me the art of growing older is not to try to look younger but to be the best you can be, if that’s what you want. I would love to do videos but am not an endearing character!
I’m now 58 and decided to embrace my grey hair at the end of last year and get a nice short bob. The grey takes a bit of getting used to but with a nice hairstyle 💇♀️ you can pull it off 😊
Because women should always look flawless for men :/ And sometimes we can't accept the changes in our body
Thank you sooo much for not getting tired of warning us. It sometimes really seems to be a harmless thing, but to listen to you makes us more sensitive to watch out.
Thank you!!!
I think people nowadays are boored, that's why they try so many stupid things.
I really appreciate you taking the time to educate people about things like this. There aren't enough people on this platform who use it for educational purposes. Thank you!!
And I watch tons of hairdressers-tutorials only to cut my bangs…. 😂
I hear you about not messing with your hair. I spent my late teens early twenties making my perfectly natural blonde hair every color under the sun. Now I'm in my 30s and learning to embrace going gray
You going gray?😳🧑🦳
You only in your 30s
She may have relaxed it recently and then colored it. But at this point, sis, it's time to shave it.
I agree
I'm not convinced that that "hair" she showed as having come out in the shower is hers or even real hair. The curl pattern just doesn't look right.
all the way i guess
Yeah the curls were VERY loose for afro hair.
I have an aunt (who's Nigerian born and raised) with really loose curls to the point where she can go a few days without a full detangling sesh and her curl pattern looks nothing like that. Gorilla glue girl's curls seem formed like you'd see in a perm.
@@StaubZuStaub weeeelll...I am not to sure I can agree with that. To me it doesn't match HER curl pattern. I know my culrs are very loose and it would possibly match mine. But that is not matching the rest of what's on her head.
Gorilla glue is known for being a super strong, pretty much permanent bond. This is why people use Gorilla Glue. I have several varieties of it in my house. There are warnings all over the labels! They shouldn't leave her alone anymore. Take away all the chemicals and sharp objects, too.
This video deserves to go viral, everyone needs to see it. I appreciate the passion and knowledge you have for your craft, and the care you show and advice you offer. Truely you deserve much success and your clients are lucky to have you as their stylist. 👏👏👏
I love you! I see your frustration with some of these people, you really want to help and you say the same things to warn people but they don’t listen! Thank you for not giving up hopefully you have saved a lot of ruined hair and scalps from happening! Nobody makes the video “hair Buddha taught me the right way and my hair looks great” it’s human nature most want to see the train wreck! Just wanted you to know your videos aren’t in vain, you’ve taught me a lot and IK my limits when it comes to hair!❤️😊
Grey hair is a crown of wisdom. Wear that crown proudly, like a queen 💜
I absolutely love your passion for hair. Most people take hair for granted, believing “it’ll grow back”😖 Your passion not only comes from your professional background but also, you’re no longer blessed with a head of hair and I can only imagine your frustration when you see people naively and ignorantly smother their hair with ALL kinds of Sh!t and wonder why their hair is destroyed. They’re usually lucky, it grown back, but they do it again and again and again😤
I have been highlighting my (naturally strawberry blonde) hair with lighter blonde for about 40 years but only do it approximately every 2 or more years. I’ve had a perm 3 times in my life for volume but 2-3yrs ago I got it done and I didn’t know about the bleach/perm problem. I told the hairdresser I had highlights and he still permed it…..FRIED my all my fine thin hair😭 It has almost recovered with many cuts and trims. I will do my highlights again soon BUT ONLY on my regrowth😒
Gorilla glue is hard core. Even getting a tiny bit on yourself is hell. Her hair was beautiful after being saved, lucky! I have a white streak and get so many compliments on it and asked if it's natural because people pay a lot to dye their hair that way. I say, embrace your grey/white hairs, you've earned them!
I appreciate the fact that you care. Makes me wish you could cut my hair, I do it my self because it’s down to my waist and I have had so many incidents where even though I have told a hair dresser before setting my appointment that I have think hair down to my waist and It may take more time then average . I get to my appointment and have a bad experience because it takes long and the hair dresser is frustrated. It takes me multiple days to get my hair done to my liking by my self because it’s hard to cut your own hair and I have to stop and take a break other wise I would chop it off . I love my long hair but when it’s time to trim or cut it really sucks.
God bless the surgeon that helped her for free 👍❤️

It makes me SO happy to learn that a doctor volunteered to help this person. We love to laugh at the outrageousness of what she did to her hair, but it's just a wild extrapolation of kids cutting their own hair, even though they know not to, and that happens a fair bit. When people are outrageously stupid without actual malice and kind strangers bail them out, the universe feels like a forgiving place.

I have yet to understand why she shampooed her hair 15+ times but. didn’t buy solvent. Like, the first point of call for glue is solvent.
From what I recall even gorilla glue couldn't help her. She did seek them out. It's not like she didn't try 🤷♀️

I have learned so much from recently discovering your channel. I've only messed with my hair 3 times. Once in 2006 I got it "relaxed" at a hair salon, which ended up in it falling out in clumps after 4 days when they said I was allowed wet it. Then about 6 years later I used a box dye on my dark brown hair. My aunty dyed it for me and it was supposed to be blue-black but turned out chocolate brown somehow. The most recent thing I've had done is a half head of foils at the salon last year and it turned out great with purple, red and blue. Unfortunately the colour only lasted a few weeks and washed out but it looked amazing while it lasted.
Thanks for you enthusiasm and passion..

You're absolutely right. People are mixing and matching products without even looking up a safe solution on the internet or asking a professional - or to be more "extreme": Going to a professional. I myself a DIY lover but there are certain things that I wouldn't do by myself without researching or at least having some knowledge about what I'm intending to do. For example: Bleaching. I wouldn't do that at home. Especially when I see these fail videos because a million things can go wrong. Hairstyling, trimming, bleaching, or hair coloring are all belong to certain professionals, called Hair Stylists. I'm not a hair stylist. That's why I go to a salon when I need a hair-transformation or something (my hair stylist actually taught me how to trim the very ends of my current hairstyle so I could do that at home, but sometimes I'd rather book an appointment with her so she can do that professionally). These are my thoughts, this is my philosophy. That's why I cannot understand the gorilla glue lady.. hasn't she learned from what happened before..? It looks like she hasn't.. It's sad. Especially nowadays! Think about it. We have the internet where we can find millions of informations. If she would've been cautious enough if she would've had some respect towards the way she came out from her previous trauma (caused by her own negligence of not researching before using a product on herself), she would've looked up and gone to a professional to ASK before she went bald again (by her own negligance, AGAIN). I'm not judging, I'm just trying to highlight the real problem behind the results here which is people who thinks they know better. They really don't! Ladies! It is ALWAYS better to ASK and RESEARCH before mushing on any product on yourselves! Your HEALTH, BODY and CONFIDENCE is on the line, never negligate yourselves this way! Have some self respect!
Have I learned from this video? Absolutely! Never put adhesive chemicals on your hair. Just don't.
When in doubt, a professional is more likely to know what kind of products are safe vs unsafe to use. This is especially true of Black hair, as a lot of hair products and hair advice sources are geared towards straight to wavy hair.
I used to dye my hair every two weeks for like a year I had hair up to my butt literally had to shave it all off I was bleaching it all the time and it was coming out in chunks. Now I dye my hair every couple 2 or 3 months even if I don’t like the roots cause I like my long hair and took me forever to have it grow back from shaving it. But I rather do that then lose 5 years worth of hair growth.
Good for you I did the bleach thing when I was a teen but quit years ago, it's scary as hell when it starts coming out in chunks, when your hair grows really fast it's root touch ups twice a month ouch
Use a Demi, much kinder to your hair.
@@RavenVargas27 I still dye my hair it’s platinum blonde with the front pieces blue and it’s not damaged at all I used to bleach the ends all the time so I can change the color all the time I think of someone wants to keep changing there hair to just get wigs honestly.
Yikes. This tops the list of crazy things I’ve seen on your channel. Bless her and hopefully she has learned a valuable lesson, treat your hair with kindness, it is sacred!
I don't think most people realize how long it takes for hair and scalp to recover. Before when I heard it was a year before she dyed her hair "I was all like ah ok it should be fine right? I remember being on medical dandruff whatever when I was a kid, it only took 3 months never solve it completely but it was better." When you explained thats when I found out that it takes a long time for the scalp and hair to recover. I probably would have made the same mistake with dying my hair to soon with box dye. Now I know and now she knows 1 year is too soon.
I would love to see you react to some "Removing henna from hair" videos. Mainly because I commented the cardinal sin of all cosmetologist and put henna on my hair. The regret was almost instant 😂
thank you sir👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
That silver UA-cam plaque in the background looks good on you! 😉💕
Wow! He was such a good Person! Wow!
the notification I've been waiting for
Glad to say this lady is now healthy and running a business ..She turned a negative into a positive
In the salon we still have to do a patch test, especially on new clients. This is why the Greet/Consultation is SO IMPORTANT. But at HOME? PATCH TEST if you are going to do your own hair. AND BEFORE DOING ANYTHING, RESEARCH AND WRITE THINGS DOWN BEFORE HAND! Thank you for this video. I still don’t feel sorry for her, she can read 🤨🙄
Thank you for being so helpful, if people would only listen to you. This particular girl , after suffering so much should have never continued to do something to her hair. It is hard to to have compassion for her.
🤦🏼♀️ so sad. Her hair was recovering…RECOVERING…beautifully. But sadly now the recovery process has to start over. I understand how we can let vanity and the fear/hatred of those grey hairs drive us to hide them. But for goodness sake, after the glue nightmare putting anything on my hair would have been the last thing I’d want to do. For a VERY long time. Rock that nature beauty!
Yeah, I used febreeze one morning for hairspray because I was getting ready in the dark. I smelled good that day .
Solid sound advice. Total respect @hairbuda for making these videos. So important to have information available on platforms younger people use today. You rock @hairbuda.
Would love, if you could give advice on natural treatment products, for people like me, that has psoriasis and contact dermatitis/excema. I really can't use bought products on my skin and the older I get, the worse it gets for me. I did listen to previous videos about your tips, but none of the salons in my town could help me but want to sell alot of products that I can not use. Medium thick, dark blonde/light brown curley hair. All natural. Little bit of grey is here and there. But overall my hair colour changes with hormones and pregnancy. I have to add that a few of the products that you mentioned I can't find here where I live in South Africa. So if it is possible, any extra tips or advice would be great. Thank you, in advance.
I would like to add that I watched some of your earlier videos, (the 6 to 4 years ago,) and I could understand most of it!! It's so close to Afrikaans, and it was awesome!!! Thank you!!
"Don't mess too much with your hair, or by the time you're 40, it will look 85" (good advice from Baz Luhrmann)
Whether or not there was a slight positive element to the attention, I'm surprised she did this.
#thegreenmanofnorwich. .. How she presents herself caused me to believe she is seeking attention. Super heavy false eyelashes, extra long fingernails, her hairstyle/wig during the Gorilla Glue fiasco - all together those factors are to grab attention. It's a choice - definitely not choices made by people wanting to blend into a crowd. She achieved mega attention due to her Gorilla Glue mistake. It was painful but it was attention. I wonder what her next 'incident' will be. I seriously doubt her lust for attention (be it good or bad), has ended.
wow… just wow! what was she expecting? it’s industrial strength glue ffs!
3 years ago I spent about $300 to get HIGHLIGHTS. My hair is medium brown/blonde and I just wanted a few blonde streaks. This lady did my whole head, and my hair was like Raman noodles! So, just because they are professionals, doesn't mean they know what they are doing. I cried for weeks after, trying to fix it. I went to another salon and had my hair treated and filled in about 2 months later, and paid another $300 for it, if not more! I had done everything I could think of to save it. She did save it from complete disaster, but it still wasn't right. At least she warned me she couldn't completely repair it because it was TOAST! It did look really nice when she was done and she told me what to do for it at home. I don't do a lot to my hair. I don't blow it out or straighten it or color it very often. I haven't had a perm since the 80's. So she destroyed my virgin hair and now, 3 years later, and after many rounds of conditioning and other treatments and toners, finally, it's almost back to how it was. Please, please, please make sure you are going to someone who you KNOW knows what they are doing. I had just moved, so I took a chance on a place that had good ratings. I wanted to look nice for my new job! I wound up having to ask my coworkers if they knew anyone and fortunately, one of them had a solid place where all of them are really good. I must have spent over $1000 trying to fix that shit, between my own treatments and going to the salon every couple of months for over a year! NEVER again will I ask for highlights. Never again will I put anything in my hair besides my shampoos and conditioners and a heat protectant if I blow it out. In the 80's, the stuff we did to our hair should have destroyed it, but it didn't. It took one stylist to kill my hair, and that's some serious incompetence to destroy hair that survived the 80's!!
I was always told if there's a warning label on something saying for example do not blow dry hair while showering some idiot has done it . Always when in doubt patch test or strand test better safe than sorry .
Hair Buddha I agree. I'm natural a full head of natural I use no chemicals. I used to perm my hair and use lots of heat. After so much breakage I decided to cut it all off and grow natural. I absolutely love my hair and I've never in my life seen it this healthy and long until I stopped using chemicals.
God bless you handsome doctor.
