It's spelled "mu-mimo" but it's pronounced "throatwarbler mangrove." I've had an EAP620 HD in our house for about six months now, and it installed and works without any issue. Coverage from the front sidewalk to the rear deck is excellent on the 5G band, and I have no idea how far my 2.4G signal goes.
I don’t have the Omada commercial system, but I do use their Deco consumer mesh system and even though there is no traditional backend it’s still a great router. We have the XE75Pro, a WiFi 6E system.
I for one am very happy to see these, healthy competition will only make both TP and UI step up and deliver better products for us the consumers. I do hate the fact that they are clearly UI knockoffs - at least at this point. I did checkout your merchandise store but did not find your the "I Like DNS" t-shirt, can you post a link to it?
TP-Link, they are at least consistent. Their ceiling mount APs are giant, and not only did they rip off the Unifi controller, but that outdoor AP is a direct knock-off of the UAP-AC-M, all the way down to being 48v/24v compatible!
I really like TP Link and I install a lot of Deco units for domestic use but come on, those APs are still too ugly to put into someone's home, it's stupid to fall at that hurdle. my-mo BTW
damn their huge, as a home user that has a veeeeery allowing spouse, i would not even put this up as a option to replace the ubiquity AP we have. wife approval factor 1/10
Been using for like 4-5 months one of this archer X series with "semi" wifi 6 (1200mbps) and I've been looking Omada as an alternative to UNIFy and I'm really hyping that they're releasing Wifi 6 products!
From what I understand, they're mostly empty space. They need to cut the size by at least 1/2, especially depth. I've got ceiling fan motors that aren't much bigger.
@@BrianMelancon .. Yeah, I don't know what they were thinking. If they were smaller and in line with Ubiquiti I'd be seriously interested in these APs. In an industrial place no problem.
@@sycal13 .. Sure TP saved a bunch on tooling costs but they lost a hell of a lot more on people not buying it. There's no way I'm hanging that thing inside my house or office. People in my office would think they're being microwaved to death and my wife would do a lot worse bringing it in her home, I mean our home, you know what I mean!
@@DJaquithFL oh I understand. I thought of using TP-Link Omada equipment but, that AP is huge. I'll just stick with Unifi and wait for equipment to come back into stock.
How do we add a new AP to the existing setup? The IT guy left the company, and we want to add one more AP. He mentioned it's a mesh network, and it should automatically pick up the configuration from the master AP, but that's not happening. When I plug it into the switch, it's not adopting the configuration and is still on its default open SSID TPLINK OMADA AX3000
I am putting in Omada to service 14 users with Smart phones, laptops and IP phones - total count is 45 wireless devices - three main areas - any suggestions on what access points to use and how many?
can you open them, I mean disassmble them, they are too big I will put them in enclosed area so I am thinking of putting them with just the bottom part
Continuing to save money on tooling with those huge housings is actually hurting the company by leaving so much potential customers money on the table. Being tone def to this fact, also has me questioning what a customer support experience would be like. Personally would love to give them a go based on price to performance, but really not sure how much that size would ultimately bug me.

The 610 has a V2 which is way smaller, but it's hard to find yet.
TP-Link Omada APs and PoE switches generate PoE RFI .. I’m a Ham Radio operator, and found RFI from TP-Link PoE interference at specific frequencies on several bands …
I bought from Amazon a TP-Link Omada outdoor. The configuration I want is different from the one in the installation guide. I'm at a camping ground and the signal inside my VR is really weak. I want to put the TP-Link outside the RV connected via an Ethernet cable to the inside of the van, where the Poe injector and router are. Is that configuration possible ?
Non TPlink question, but may be relevant to others as well: I have a NanoHD (4x4 but only wifi 5), and a U6 lite (wifi 6, but only 2x2). Which one should I put in the more dense area of the house?
@@Daniel-nm9rm I get that it says in the name, but wifi 6 is supposed to be better with multiple users I guess due to OFDMA so it isn’t very clear to me if 2x2 vs 4x4 matters in that situation
U6 lite. Every test that's done shows a much better bandwidth with the U6 lite over any of the old wifi 5 APs. The 2x2 MIMO in the lite can saturate the 1gbit line, so the nanoHD has no advantage over it. Also, a house is *never* a dense area, so 2x2 is not a problem
The EAP610-0utdoor has been promised since January of 2021. It is still imaginary. WiFi-6E will be rolled out by other vendors before TP gets their act together. They really missed the boat on this one.

i have an EAP650 indoors A/Point. how do i increace the wifi strength. its only 25dbm.
Seems a lot more reasonable in cost to Ubiquiti, especially in the SME / home market.

I'm going to get 6 of those in wall aps for my new house. I will wait for the slimline units coming before getting a ceiling mount
Design is the only bad part of those indoor APs. I'd have to put them above the ceiling rather than on the ceiling.
我把他们放在电视柜上,信号会比挂在天花板上弱一点
Those gadgets certainly have the lowest WAF of anything this side of Andromeda.
I’ll one up the lowest WAF score ever…

Chris, please remember that wired gigabit Ethernet can have a total throughput of 2Gbp as they're full duplex.
WiFi is half duplex.
Do you have any vids for setting up the eap225 for mesh. Looking to setup 3 for a racetrack
