    Rod Meldrum messed up big time choosing dogma and narrative over allowing this man a chance at a heartland conference microphone.

    Did you see the video titled “Chief Midegah questions president Nelson”?

    • @bookofmormonheartland
      @bookofmormonheartland  26 днів тому +3

      Yes. He took it down within the first hour. Others reposted it. We are working on a reply to it. He deals with PTSD. This was a PTSD moment.

      @@bookofmormonheartland My heart goes out to those suffering from PTSD as well as Chief Midegah. And I can show grace, but I think grace, in a situation like this, has its limits.
      Regardless of what the chief may be experiencing, there are many in the church who love him. How many will begin to question the authority of the church and its priesthood? Will this eventually lead to division in the body of Christ? We hold the priesthood of God. We are responsible for protecting his sheep. I understand if someone suffers from PTSD. And we should show grace. But we also have a responsibility to show grace to all the members of the church who may have their testimonies of the church damaged over his comments. Please don’t think I’m trying to be harsh. I just know that if president Nelson doesn’t respond to Midegah soon, a lot of people who love Midegah are going to be faced with a choice of who to follow. I understand you don’t know me. But please consider my words brother

      @@bookofmormonheartland I understand. But there are many members of the church who have yet to receive their testimony for whatever reason. And even if only one of your viewers has their testimony damaged, isn’t that one too many? I can’t tell others how to use their agency but I hope you will at least seriously consider what I’ve said.

    I find it strange that an independent native tribe would hold a conference and align it self with the BOM, which call them lost and fallen and says they were cursed by God with dark skin.
    Native history will continue to be hyjacked by Mormonism under the terms Chief M is setting with this conference and his Mormon podcast tour.

      Read the Book of Mormon. Part of the people were lost and fallen. Read the Bible: same story. Smh

      When you read the Book of Mormon and get the spirit of it things will make more sense. For some people it has a familiar spirit, as a people speaking from the dust. When we try to wrest the messages to conform to our present-day dialogue, we miss the point and end up with a God of our own making, with attitudes & attributes that we assign Him. He is God. Who are we to tell Him anything about how a book will be perceived by us 2,000 years after it was written?
