Awe thank you so much Allison! Sorry it took me a bit to get back to you, I was away for a bit for a close wedding wedding. Also why i haven’t recorded in a bit. I had so much anxiety for many reasons and ended up giving myself a migraine for 4 days once I was home though thankfully. I miss chatting with you and all my fibre friends so I definitely will be recording in the next couple days. Hugs your way always, Barb
Happy anniversary! Ours is sept 2. I hope you have a wonderful day! We have had foxes and cayotes. Which is nuts. We are in a city. It is so hard to loose our fur babies, but they give us so much love.
Yup city here too but smaller city but I’m right in the middle, so it’s weird but we’ve seen deer, turkeys, moose, bears and more so I’m not surprised lol
I would freak if there were bears. I wish richmond hill was still a smaller town. It is not at all like when i was a kid. It would be so nice for my son to experience that.
Happy Anniversary! I'm excited to see how your test pattern sweater comes out. After decades of using Susan Bates and no wrist issues I'm not sure what inspired me to by a Prym hook but I did. Two months later, I can say I really like it. Looking forward to your review.
Hope you had a wonderful anniversary!! I enjoyed seeing all of your makes, your socks are awesome. I love all the test knits you will be doing and crochet ones. I love the yarn you dyed, it's going to look amazing in that sweater!!! I would like to hear a review of the crochet hooks and see the sock patterns in the 52 weeks of socks. I have that book too somewhere in my room. Hope we can chat soon! Hugs
Isn’t it funny how we have to spell words with our furbabies. I watched all the way through and I’m glad I did. You do a marvelous job with your hand dyeing. I LOVE the colors!! Hope you’re wrists get better soon. I have Furls but I got them on a great sale. I only have what I need but a couple extras of the most used sizes. I use clover amours for amigurumi. Your guy is cute. Ergonomic hooks are definitely worth it and help. Sorry I don’t remember his name. Happy anniversary!!
Yes our dogs are too smart for their own good sometimes lol. I’m hoping the prym work but I’m not sure they’re large enough around honestly, they’re still a pretty small diameter to fit properly for grip but I’ll be trying them out in new projects because I tried switching in my test knitting (because of that stitch hurting my wrist so much) but my gauge was sooooo different that I had to frog it a bit and go back to my clover hooks (which I do love but they’re just so small around). Thanks so much for all your wonderful thoughts, I always love the feedback. Hugs your way, Barb
@@knottyyarnies450 I know you’re in Canada, but maybe you can get a couple of the ergonomic hooks from Hobby Lobby that are very affordable and easy to work with. That was my introduction into ergonomic hooks and I’ve never looked at my 35 year old Boye hooks again.
@@knottyyarnies450 I looked online and didn’t see what I’m referring to. I have a curbside pickup today, so I’ll mosey in and see if they have them in store. What kind of hooks do you have now?
@@VernaBradshaw I have those prym ones, some steel straight ones (hate those lol) a set of light up ones that I only use when we travel, a set of wooden rounded handled ones from herschners that I ordered in the spring and a set of rubber handled ones. Maybe I’ll have to show the ones I have in a video soon!
I had problems with my wrists until I started using Tulip hooks. They are not as expensive as Furl hooks (which I returned ) but a bit more expensive then the Prym hooks. (I did purchase them as well but haven't tried them yet.) Good luck finding what works for you!
I love my furls but they are expensive. I am very interested in what you think of the Pyrm hooks, because I have also been looking at them. I can not wait to see you completed knitted sweater because that yarn you dyed is amazing :) hugs your way~ B
Omg thank you my sweet friend. For some reason I’m not getting all my messages/notifications 🤷🏻♀️. I was away for the long weekend for a family wedding with my 2 sons, it was a 10 hour drive one way and we went one day, wedding day was the next day then came back on the 3rd day, ended up with a 4 day migraine after I got home sadly, just gave myself so much anxiety I think. I’ll be recording about the prym hooks the next couple days as well as a couple other videos. I have so much that I’m behind on now I’m going to separate all them into shorter videos I think. I’ve had many say they’re too long so hoping I get a better response with the parts. I’m just so fast and get so much done that I get so much to chat about lol. The yarn you sent me (the hand painted ones) I’m going to make a love note sweater or ranunculous I wanted something really special and so I purchased both patterns and will decide on which one shortly. I’m super excited of course 🥰😍☺️😁! On the sweater I’m knitting now I’m at the sleeve part now, it was on hold for 2 weeks though because the designer was making modifications to her pattern so I thought I’d wait for those. Hope you love birds are doing well. Thinking of you, lots of hugs and love, Barb xo
I was about to ask what size shoe you son wears when you told us. Lol. Love the colors in your socks! I finally finished my 2ndpair if socks. Did them on 9” circulars and really liked that. Like you it seems faster than magic loop to me. I did the shadow wrap heel and really liked that. “Crazy Lady” too funny!!! The yarn you dyed is gorgeous!!! That’s going to make an amazing sweater. I saw that about winding twice but haven’t tried any yet. Hope I don’t end up with a mess. I have a The Prym hooks and I like them fine. I don’t have any hand problems but I don’t care for my Furls Odyssey hooks because they are so heavy. I like the wooden Streamline Furls. Hope you a nice anniversary!!! Congrats!!
Awe thank you Evelyn. I may have laughed a little too hard at “crazy lady” but I was in a mood lol. Hope you had a fabulous weekend. Thanks soooo much for watching an commenting, I always love hearing your thoughts ;) I was surprised as to how much I liked the 9” circulars but I find them so much faster. Hugs your way, Barb
Omg Wendy I did BUT boy do I EVER appreciate you telling me because you just never know if I do or not! I’m a person that watches podcasts like crazy, I rarely watch tv, all I am thinking of is my fibre community, love you all! I actually was watching along while I was knitting some socks on the recombinant bike at the gym, I may have even yelled out woohoo right there haha! Felt pretty lucky and extremely excited that penny and dawn shouted my channel out too when they announced my name. So kind of you to think of me, hugs your way my dear fibre friend
Hey! I’ve used 9” ones a few times now but it took me a bit to get used to the small needles. What I did was I would only do 10-20 rows a day until I got used to them. Now I have no troubles at all. I tried worsted weight ones but I think my gauge ended up being way too big so I need to figure out my “formula” for the right counts for me. Hope all is well, still drooling over your freaking gorgeous poncho, the purples just had me awing over it! Hugs my friend xo
What a fun catch up with you💓 LOVE the hand dyed yarn and knit test sweater. The crochet wizard was adorable🤩 have a great week💙

I love magic loop. I tried 9” circs but they hurt my hands. I’m obsessed with worsted weight socks right now.

Where do you buy the little tags to write on?
Just in the stationary section at any store, these ones were from either Walmart or Dollarama?...
Awsome thanks. What do they call them? I don't know what to type in my search lol
