I am a violinist but i like the viola. Viola was made because violinists can't play upright so they came up with the viola. 🤣
The musician is excellent and yet the music is so dreary I can't even listen to it. I thought the whole viola thing was more of a joke but hearing this solidifies why viola just isn't a solo instrument anything like the level of violin or cello.

yeah... the tenths are physically impossible to do well cause the instrument is bigger... he had to play 3rds instead of tenths for the 6th variation 3rd part cause hands are not big enough... i have same pain
