- Strategic targets on Earth are being destroyed by an unknown weapon. Government security head Henderson suspects it's an "atomic ray" originating from the moon! He assigns Commando Cody, scientist and man of action with a secret flying suit, to investigate. Soon, Cody is battling Earth thugs in the pay of Krog the moon man and making trips in his experimental rocket to the moon itself, in a perilous and all but singlehanded effort to thwart the planned invasion of Earth.
Director: Fred C. Brannon
Writer: Ronald Davidson
Starring: George Wallace, Aline Towne, Roy Barcroft
As a young kid in BROOKLYN, THIS and Superman were my best programs.
When I was a kid, I couldn't get enough of this!
Y week€
Me too! I even made a backpack and helmet out of construction paper! :)
Every Republic Serial Had Iconic Actors Along with Great ! Acting !
Awesome. Thanks for putting them all together...
Yes one best serial ever. Alien are attacking the Earth from the Moon and only Cody can stop them.
Back when Time was Young I watched This Serial In The Movies And On TV Great Actors, And Serials Thanks To Republic Studios !
As an 70 year old I saw it on TV in the 50's . Still watching it.
Jeez, that's a long series then.😸
It was thanks to MST3K that I have gained a big appreciation for this movie serial. I am glad I got to watch this.
This serial is a LONG time "comfort food"!
I was born in the 50's but somehow missed this. Fantastic show!
THANKS for the upload!!! You're bringing back some great childhood memories of LOOOOOONG Ago!!! A great bit of fantasy escapism from the craziness that passes for today's "reality"! = Yeah, I'll take THIS over THAT, any day!
Amazing how a trip to the moon in those days was well-lighted in space!
Lol 😂
The guy who played the Lone Ranger is one of the baddies.
Im very grateful this is FREE
GOOD PRINT AND MOVIE, THANK YOU
I remember seeing the serial's at a local theater, when I was little. Love it.
The flying special effects hold up pretty well.
I love the way the hats stay on when they're fighting
The stuntmen mounted bicycle inner tubes inside the rim of their hats. Just put on and inflate for that tight fit. Like the Pump, the inflatable sneaker only for your head.
@@jamessnee7171 No seriously? Well the things you learn.
I thought they used Elmer's to glue them to their heads..
You definitely need good office chairs when you're flying your plywood rocket to the moon.
Very similar to the chairs on the bridge of the starship _Enterprise._ If you don't like it, don't watch it.
All the cheap IKEA office chairs were cracked over the bad guys' heads.
Love these old,sci- fi serial adventures. Especially the dramatic music!@!!@.
As often the bad guys keep walking into Cody”s lab they would learn to lock that door😊
I was 10 in 1952 so this is right in my wheelhouse.
My favorite was "The Shadow".
Myself and several million other kids were the only
ones who knew Lamont Cranston was the Shadow.
My dad and his friends used to go to the Colombia Theater on Saturday Morings in Baltimore City (back in the late 1940's and the early 1950's, for 25 cents he use to watch a full feature a Chapter and a cartoon.
In my case, it was a Saturday kiddie show in Beaumont, Texas. Sometimes we also got an honest-to-God newsreel along with trailers for upcoming films. It's a real treat to see the often cheesy productions of that time through my modern eyes... if you follow me.
In my neighborhood in the late 40's and early 50's our
neighbor theater-The Gem-was $.11 for Friday and Saturday.
Then the raised the admission to $.14. We were appalled!
Big fun and good memories
Awesome movie! Had this on VHS when I was a kid.
Jeez, you must be a yungun, We had monochrome TV way back then.
"Hello, IKEA? Can you please deliver about two dozen cheap plywood chairs to our studio today? Just ask for Cody."
I remember this was my staple, every Saturday morning.
When I was little, I thought the jetpack, rocket ship and moon tanks were mega-cool!

I used to watch this on Matinee at the Bijou!
The fight in the Cafe is priceless.......
Clayton Moore is a very smartly dressed man in this movie. He looks very sharp and knows how to dress up.
After watching thus I always wanted a rocket pack for Xmas.
I was about nine when I saw this at the Capitol Theater in Augusta, Maine.
Fist fight no hat coming off, worst pistol shots I've ever seen, dead bodies helping to get them out of the way and spectacular cars exploding as they go over a cliff etc.
Used to watch this show on Saturday mornings as a kid.
The under belly of that rocket ship must have been tor to shreds from take offs and landings but I loved the design of it.
Thank God for for the second amendment God bless America for us patriots
The music sounds like it might have been an influence on Barry Gray, who wrote all the music for the Thunderbirds 60s puppet show.
Later in his career Clayton Moore quit smoking, switched to silver bullets and a Native American sidekick and did much better.
The Moon looks suspiciously like a back lot at Republic Studios.
Wow the Lone Ranger without a mask!
lol....just happen to have an atomic bomb unsecured, under the desk. Gotta love 50s movies.
Ray Guns, revolvers and the Lunarium
They had more guns blazing in this series than the D-Day landings!
I thought this serial and Commando Cody were cool when it was shown on Sunday morning kids' television in the '60s. Thankfully, the host never unmasked the truth that the invaders' chief leering henchman was Clayton Moore. If I had learned that the Lone Ranger was working to enslave Earth, I might have been traumatized for life.
Quite a few comments about Clayton Moore playing the heavy . He played a few heavy's before TLR and during his two stints as TLR . His secret was that as TLR he was in the mask 90 percent of the time and the other 10 percent he was in disguised as the old geezer and other characters .
News Note:
Bad Guy Clayton Moore dies in the Car Crash as it Drove off the Cliff and turned into a fireball
When William Bakewell fired a number of shots from his Handgun at the Vehicle.
George Wallace was driving the Car while Bakewell was shooting at Moore's Car.
My childhood weekends of the early 1960's. Before there was my Marvel favorite, Iron Man there was Rocketman.
I used play at being Rocket man flying with old pot on my head.( that was life before computers etc)
@@raphaelandrews3617 So did I. I’m 76 and still watch these. It makes me smile!
...and the poor Cafe gets broken up twice!
Oh no, Clayton Moore aka The Lone Ranger as a bad guy, oh no it can’t be. He was also a baddie in the serial The Crimson Ghost.
But the hero in Ghost of Zorro!
@@randymoses3972 Ahh my faith is restored. Also Jay Silverheels had a small role in “Key Largo”.
Clayton Moore played Gangster roles before The Lome Ranger
Clayton Moore Before The Lone Ranger
My early Rocketry day began building a flight suit, using parts of Hoover vacuum s
Tried several pressure types, compressed air did squat, we started mixing chemicals
Dad stepped in just before disaster
I had sulfuric acid, peroxide, sulfer, charcoal, sodium nitrate, bleach, DDT
I GOT MY BUTT KICKED and a chemistry lesson.

Your caps lock is stuck, Pancho.
The last meal : at 1:48:38 . At least Aline Towne fixed that pudgy Moon Man a hearty meat and potatoes meal before they got rid of him . Ha !
Leonard Nimoy has a bit part in this serial in the last episode. He plays the part of the only Radar Man who has a conscience.
Clayton Moore (Lone Ranger) is one of the bad guys in this series.
No. Leonard Nimoy played a Martian in the follow on film _Zombies of the Stratosphere._ He doesn't appear in this film.
Radar men from the Moon 1952, 12 chapters

Fight. Get knocked out. Wake up. Fight again. Get knocked out again. Repeat.
After suffering so many multiple-multiple concussions what are these guys qualified for?
A TV news anchor? A Republican candidate for Senate in Georgia? An ESPN sports analyst?
1:20:12
Ah yes i see these gangsters are men of culture! they are using the art of blackhand combat!
Blackhand Combat Meaning: the art of repeatedly grabbing someones shirt/jacket and punching them in the face or stomach while violently swinging them around back and forth either to gain control or throw the individual on the ground or into walls/windows/countertops/tables/or people 🤷♂️
And how do i know this you may ask?
The Godfather game xbox360👈👀 lolo
10:46 The '50's equivalent of "Make me a sandwich!"
If this serial was made in 2024 the women would be the smart fearless Ms. Cody and all the men both good and bad would be all dummies .
Commado Cody I presume
This Movie Is one of the Best of the Cheesy Movies of All time they had to have all those Sparklers how DID they do that this wonderful movie was done in the wonderful Town of Spadera Ca It is not there Now
there are too many problems with this Movie even the production had problems
True, it is the cheeziest but at least you can just relax and enjoy it without having to do any mental gymnastics to keep up with it like today's movies.
TIL: lunarium > uranium.
Pity the 4 x 3 aspect ratio being stretched to fill 16 x 9. people are too wide here.
10:49 , that aged like butter.
I know revolvers are reliable and all, but it's 1952 for Pete's sake. Doesn't anyone have an M-1 carbine or grease-gun laying around?
Is no oxigen in the moon and no gravity good imagination
There is gravity.
The Moon has 1/6th Earth's gravity, Simple Simon.
ALERT: This serial is NOT shown in the correct aspect ratio. It is stretched out too wide in the horizontal dimension. If I were you, I'd not watch this. Look for it in the correct aspect ratio instead.
Amazing the moon men need oxygen but not Cody lmaooooo
Gravity on the moon. Who Knew?
Sorry to be Mr. Wizard, but yes; there is gravity on the moon. The moon's mass is smaller than the earths so the "pull" is not as great, but it has gravity.

Yes you did.
