Long time no trying out the Boss GT1000 Core. Pretty good alternative if you want to go small(?)
Hey ola have you played with the boss Sy-1000? Is it a Synthesizer and effects? Say similar to line 6 hx effects?
That's Amazing! But please, someday you should try the GT-100 a lot ppl say that isn't good enough for Metal. But I know you can show us it is.
Hey Ola! Nice demo!
Hej olla!
Man you need to do some Led Zeppelin cover! And you should also sing more often! 44 sounds like a porn soundtrack! Great demo!
I would pay a lot of money for an album of Led Zeppelin covers by Ola, but only if he does the vocals, too.
Not my apples!!!
Please Ola! Tell us how the trollstory ends! We need to know!
They all died after eating the apples because they couldn’t properly digest fruit. Pretty damn sad actually.
They juiced the apples, fermented the juice and had a fun night swilling cider.
this isnt South Park this is real life
Musta Krakish..... Awaken!
@@davidwhitten4538 IA!
I was only a child when the trolls came down from the mountains and stole all the apples from our village, but I will never forget that day.
They stole my moms car… I guess our trolls were more ambitious.
Do you recall how many Trolls? Asking for a Troll Veteran who hates apples.
Ola told this tale with great ominous tone 🤘🏻
Ola would make a perfect character on Metalocalypse.
Or metal family haha
LOL, The Troll Song…. actually Pretty Cool @2:40
I have to say, this may be added to my pedal board for a trial in the near future. Thanks for such a badass demo Ola.
In parallel universe there is an Ola who is ridiculously rich just because of that funky auto-wah line
I can't see it 😆
Steve Wonder riff people .
2:16 that smile :DDDD
Now THIS is something i thought i'd never see: Ola playing a Lenny Kravitz song
Thanks a lot Ola, I was about to sell my unit and suddenly found your video and now Im making my dream tones out of this unit thanks again for all the information..Subscribed 👍
This is a beast and look at the size ! Thank you Ola !!
At least a real interesting test of this multi effect that shows the potential !! Great vid man :-)
Official petition for the Troll Story song here! Lets get this thing made!!!
Ola's tone and crunch is an eargasm for me🤘🤘🤘🤘
3:10 I need full version of this. just beautiful
would have liked to hear "Floods" with that patch
I just bought this unit yesterday! What perfect timing!
Ola! You are the second coming of Dime! Thank you for making the best content on the ‘Tube!!!
That always on the run riff, so good.
hello Ola , as always a pleasure to hear your impression of gear . I this case your programed metal rhythm patch is impressive. Your playing rocks as usual. great demo.
Thanks Ola. Eagerly awaiting my Starzinger.
Great video as always!!
Next single, "Trolls Steal All Your Apples". preview at 2:36
Love the ola reviews. Probably pick this up.
Always enjoy a good Ola video :)
I don't comment often but, algorithms! Do it people!
Great review. I have the Core and love it.
Fuck yeah, it was about time!
Boss Gt-1000 products are so awesome!
Cheers from Portugal 🍺🤘🇵🇹
Such melodic playing!!! 🤟
Another hell of a video 🤘
Always On The Run. Everyone loves that riff.
This video was super helpful ola thank you
3:09 - "Stay a while... and listen!"
I love my GT1000 Core, I use it in 4CM with an EVH 5150 50w - the reverbs and delays are great. I still prefer my Angry Swede over the HM-2 patch on the GT1000 though but it's still cool that they included one.
Friggin' love that pedal. Fits in my gig bag, now I can practice everywhere. Personally I liked the modelling capabilities better than those of the HX Stomp, but I guess that's subjective given how good modellers have become in general.
Can't wait for the Boss GT1000 Core - Wood
1:21 you managed to dodge copyright claim by an inch lmao
On a stolen riff. Man the only thing better than Zeppelin was their lawyers.
2:11 didn't expect hearing some Lenny Kravitz from you Ola! A surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one!
2:10 YES ALWAYS ON THE RUN!! so underrated
These sound really good. Boss has really outdone themselves with this line.
There should be an Troll Story song on your next solo album
The Boss GT units excel at 4 cable method and speed of patch switching. Fractal Audio still has no peer in terms of amp modeling, but for ease of use in 4CM no one beats "the Boss".
How does the amp modeling compare to the Fm3 or AX8. I’m thinking of getting this unit but I don’t want computery gain tone. High gain
@@rustyskies9718 The amp modeling in a BOSS GT unit is primitive sounding compared to Fractal.
Love the Bogner Cabnet on GT fx, I agree with Tscream sounds it amazing - Recto and Marshall Tube sound really nice also.
I've never had to connect to a pc because after a while you become so fast with the knobs and buttons you don't even have to look, though saying that im very intrigued by the sharing concept and testing chains others have made.
Just everything is awesome about GT Fx, it virtually has everything - haha yeah but presets aren't that hot tbh.
Sounds killer!!
Great sounding.
Would love to see an updated version of the HX Stomp demo running direct and compare it to this unit.
I felt like you were channelling Link from Zelda with the troll story. Cool shirt!
We all have are own thing you do coffee with Ola , Myself I do Wake and Bake with mtn dew and Ola 😉
To the point your sense of humor is the best here for the music but the laughs keep me coming back Thanks for being you😎
Stuff the pedal, I wanna hear how that troll story ends!!
I think they stole all the apples. The end.
They made cider and got drunk
Did anyone else chuckle and bust out laghing when Ola played the funk channel and then says "ok"?? LMAO Good stuff man! 😂😁👍u
You are brilliant and hilarious too. Thank you for this. Great tones.
That little "Shred Lead' jam was pretty ripe. Tasty and nice ending.
If I remember correctly nita uses the gt1000 for her solo shows, clinics, and when she plays like the national anthem at different sporting events
yes, saw it on PG's rig rundown..
Who is nita?

Oh damn boooooyyyyy! Ola is gettin the funk out yo!
Bro I got to know what guitar that was you posted. That thing looks freaking bad ass.
I’m calling it: trolls thing was the funniest Ola content ever.
i have the core and helix rack as my main modellers . there surprisingly different . the core needs time to get familiar with , tweak to your taste . they are very deep and the parameters and sounds interact and layer in different ways . the helix is more out of the box ready to rock , but sometimes i find its sounds are little more flat and 1 dimensional . the 1000 has a smother bigger sweet spot but you have to work harder to get there .
Yeah, it's the biggest bang for the buck of all guitar pedals, IMO... The kicker for me was how good it handled my acoustic guitars... For some reason, Boss's distortion, overdrives, and fuzz play extremely well with my acoustics through this pedal... If I could only have one pedal, it would have to be this one...
Love you ola 😌
He hummed over that Stairway riff for a reason.
3:44 an Ola can, that's a good soft drink
Man those overtones presets sound amazing from such a small box! Also the off-the-cuff troll song needs recording fully and releasing, just saying 👊🤘
Ola, you made my day)))
nice processor tone level quality so sweet boss
Dude, you're hilarious! Lol Thanks for the review!
The "OctoFuzz Lead" and "Funky Rythm" presets are awesome.
I never understand anything you're talking about but i enjoy the hell out of your channel anyway. I'm a dinosaur when it comes to all this techy witch craft... i just plug my *cable into my amp & play 🤷♂️
nice pedal
Like Ola said, “if you don’t have any other pedals and you want to keep things simple”, this pedal makes sense. However, multi-effect programmable pedals have (3) major drawbacks. First, because of the endless configuration options, you may suffer “paralysis from analysis”. Second, you can’t place a name with a face like you can with a 1 trick pony pedal. Third, “Chasing Tone” is a disease for which there is no cure, only treatments. People with this disease are often referred to as pedal-holics. To date, there are only (2) forms of treatment; The first and most expensive, is a new guitar or amp, which can be extremely effective and long lasting. The second and most popular treatment, is the Pedal. Pedals are usually a more affordable treatment, but the effects are not normally as long lasting. It’s a sad disease, if you suspect you or a loved one may be suffering from this disease, talk to your Sweetwater representative to explore treatment options😉
Buy a Fractal Audio Axe FX III and be done with all need for pedals ever. That's what I told myself 4 years ago when I sold off my two pedalboards and went AXE III --> RME UFX+ --> FRFR.
Now, it truly is an unreal piece of gear. Everything you could ever want and more. Mind-boggling options galore. But here I am....back to building another pedalboard. Only God knows why.
Big Olaaaaa!!!!
I love mine, sounds far better for rock than my Helix (though I love my helix too tbh).. Lots of free downloads on the Boss Tone Studio. McRocklins pack (10 presets) is just something else.
Oh God Ola that Lenny Kravitz song is also my go to funk jam 10 times out of 10
That riff you played on the funky part would sound pretty goddamn tasty with one of your regular guitar tones
Big improvement when you loaded your own impulse responses.
That little chug sesh at around 5:40 oh my god 🤤
Preachers Of Death by The Haunted
His triplets and tempo are fucking on point. Always chugging in the pocket
@@jokinmyass9446 Those aren't actually triplets he's playing but it does sound similar.
1:20 right from the start!! here we go!!
Yeah,that's Olatone!
Hey Ola, love your videos , please try and make a video with boss gx 100
Oh yeah, now that floats my boat. Could you share your responses for us to download Ola? Thanks man!
Nice little unit 👍 Trolls stealing apples, awesome 😂🤘
Leaving that thumbs up, just because
He really did the forbidden song! :O
This sounds like a solid 5.9/10.
Time to try the real Überschall!
I want a Solar guitar!
That song about the troll sounds really good.
Hey Ola
Could u make a video on the zoom g5n multi effects processor
Love ur channel man🤘🏽
nice, man
You should record The Troll Song with Chuggo as guest vocalist
Ola, the Funkmaster
I aspire to be able to riff as good as Ola!!
Well then, stay on it! Don'tt stop! Frustration comes, but you must keep on keeping on! Then, eventually, you too shall chug with the prowess of the burping swedish man.
@@madhatter797 lol damn that was epic 🤘🏽
2:40 Unky Ola reads books to the kiddys
If I was a weekend bar band guitar player, I’d have one of these and a Fender Hot Rod. Simple setup.
Still waiting for that demo of the Axel Ritt Ironfinger Pedal :D
If you can finish the Troll story, that would make me happy
Nice Pantera Riffs!! That's my favorite riff by DIME!!! I'M BROKEN!! RIP Dime and Vinny!!
I love the modulation and delay/verbs but the overdrive and distortion wouldn’t be my first choice. But seriously considering to get it for the cleans and delays/verb though!
But, it takes pedals well, as it should for a Boss product. And if you have some good drive pedals to augment what's already there, you're good to go.
Just remembering the free-jazz exploration from Spinal Tap in front of a festival crowd
Please upload your profile and IRs. Your metal tone was amazing
he made and share one IR using his Hesu cab, very tight sounding.
You should find a link of it if you manage to find his video about IRs.
That story about trolls made my day;))
Hey ola! I got an idea....try using the boss Blues driver through a blackstar silverline or id series amp (as I've seen you've done reviews on them before) using the blues driver as the distortion and using the amp itself as the driver of the bd2. I think it may chug.
3:08 incredible
