Doug and Stacy was the first homestead channel I watched. I learned so much from them, even though I’m not a homesteader. When Doug started speaking out against the tyranny gripping my country, I developed a tremendous newfound respect for him. I admire bravery in this age of speech suppression. YOU decided to attack my comment with an ignorant statement. I look intensely at all that the current administration has done to destroy my country, with a figurehead “president” who is obviously experiencing dementia. I so love Doug and Stacy Off Grid. They both mean more to me for all their clear, concise and kindly delivered advice than they know. They are a gift from God to my household and they are cheerful givers !!! Love you Tessie for making this and it’s just one of the reasons YOU are so treasured by my household as well.
Tessie, I happened across your channel because I saw "Offgrid with Doug and Stacy" and wanted to see what you would say about them. I've been following them for about 2 or 3 years and really enjoy their channel.
They obviously have a big following but you said something about yourself that sets you apart from probably 95% of the channels out there, not to mention all the people in general. You said "I'm happy with where I am" (not sure I quoted you correctly). You may not be the channel with the most subscribers but you have something most people never accomplish: contentment! In my eyes, that makes you one of the most successful channels out there; I applaud you! Now, I will be tuning in to your videos. When a UA-cam creator provides content like yours, it's more than entertainment, it's inspiration. I don't aspire to have a YT channel, but I do like to follow successful people, especially when they follow the wisdom in the Bible.

I've been watching Doug and Stacy for wow almost 7 years now. They were a small UA-cam channel when I 1st started watching them. I absolutely love their videos on homesteading, their animals, and Stacy's canning videos and preparing videos. DOUG and STACY is the reason why my family is moving to Missouri! I'm in the process of fixing our current house, to put it up for sale, 3 bedroom 2 bathroom on one Acer, with a storefront on a little plot down the street that's going with the one Acer lot, we only want 60 for it, we're in the country in VA. But once we sell our little homestead, we're going to move to Missouri to live like Doug and Stacy, completely off grid! Starting in an RV. I can't wait! I love Doug and Stacy for how they impacted my life! They helped me to leave the city in the 1st place 2 years ago! And hopefully soon, they'll help me and encourage me to move to Missouri! Of course I've never met Doug or Stacy, they don't know me, although I like to think I know them, after 7 years of watching them. I still watch Doug and Stacy to this day! I love their channel! They are great people! Honest hardworking, people who walk with truth! They walk with God!

I haven't been watching all the homesteading shows I use to I think I'm not in the loop of knowing what happening with Doug and Stacy. I fear that like some of the other folks that try to live off the grid, they come up against opposition. Too bad people can't just live and let live. Now my hello to you, Dear one! The one thing I love about you most is you live in the moment. You're grateful for what blessings God has given you now, Not living in past and not worrying about the far future take skills and maturity. And you live to garden and cook and can and plan what you today. I love that!

Right now, there is so much turmoil and uncertainty in the world, but your channels are a refuge from that. In fact, your channels are the first ones I look for each day. I've never seen another UA-camr with the determination you have. When I first found your channel about 4 years ago, I found someone who shared the same values & interests as me. The canning, prepping, grocery hauls etc. ( I do however have no desire to be off grid. Had enough of that after the many Hurricanes we have been through over the years.😊) I have seen you grow your channel as one might grow a business. One day & one experience at a time! I believe those channels that talk bad about other channels should be deleted off of our UA-cam. I deleted them very quickly. It is not right to criticize other channels. Everybody is learning even Doug and Stacey still learn thank you for being nice to them.

Sorry, but Doug is not good and honest. He is using the tricks of the lowest of the low to grow his channel, he gets hundreds of thousands in sponsorship and adsense while he does no homesteading. I watched him for a bit and don't see him doing anything in the space, just trying to view and like cranking. His channel is a complete work of fiction.
I have never heard of or watched Doug and Stacy's channel but will pop over for a quick look now. Tessie you have a heart of gold. To see channels that started with you or after you go past you in subs must get you down a little (It is human nature) but you are happy for them and that just shows us all, the beautiful person you are. I hope that one day you will reach your viewing goals as you do deserve it.

You need to stay true to yourself no matter what and NEVER forget where you came from to keep your feet planted firmly along your journey. Doug was kind enough to respond with encouraging words when many others would have looked down their nose. NEVER forget to give all glory to God for life and all your many blessings. Saying “Never” and meaning it for the important things in life is the right thing to do.
You are enough Tessie, just remember that and NEVER forget it. We watch your videos because of YOU, and the many aspects of your life we are invited to share. Nicely said Tessie about the encouragement he gave you so many years ago and how it has helped you over the years. I haven't watched their channel as frequently these past couple years, but I have seen recently that there have been a number of videos he has posted regarding more political and world event topics. These are volatile subjects and I suppose they can be rubbing some people the wrong way, so maybe that's why the channel has become a topic of conversation. I can't believe that seven years have gone by, I still watch every video you and Doug & Stacy put up, Starry not ever. She wasn't very nice to you back then and that let us know who she really was. I remember years ago Doug came to Canada to Curtis Stone in BC, just to learn from him, I remember thinking that man is putting in the work and he has, just like you Tessie you put in the work. yes it was a really rough experience the first time She did she did very much lash out at me I had not spoken one word to her since that day it's hard to believe what time does to people and how people can be That was very hard to me I almost stopped making videos that day but I am so thankful that I did keep doing it while I don't agree with what everybody does I try to pick out the best in everyone And I always try to see the best in everyone Not everyone is going to agree with everything I say and I don't agree with everything that Doug and Stacy do or say I don't really know that much about them to be honest I'm just so busy trying to create my own little world here with all of you but this world could be a better place if we would all just find the good in each other at the time when I started my channel starry Hilder was huge I never would dream that my videos would get 4 times the views that hers do now
I unsubscribed from her ,and just a few months ago re subsctibed, she has lost so many people, after her divorce and moved on it was not the same and I unsubscribed again, there were some bad advice she gave on canning that I did not agree with her on. For some reason you popped up in my feed today. Your very sweet. Something I always tell myself so I don't fall into the trap of wishing I were someone else living in a different place is "Bloom where your planted" so I will make the best of what I have and I will "bloom where I'm planted" god bless.

Owen it ain't easy to go on a camera I know it by experience LOL I haven't recorded videos for a while, but in my case if I watched them back, oh boy.. A lot of 'uh uh' and 'Dunglish' kicked in. I'd rather record something and talk in the background then recording something with me in front of a camera.

I’m so glad you did not make this negative. It would have dashed my image of you. I see you as a positive influence in a negative world. I have been watching both of your channels plus one that seems to be feuding with Doug, for a very long time now. I love you all! I learn so much from you all. Honestly, I have learned the most from Stacy. But, I can say my life is mostly like yours. I think you are growing because you are changing and i have been watching you grow. All these years I have been watching and I rarely comment on any of the channels. I would have unsubscribed, like I had to one of the other channels, because the negativity is just what’s wrong with the world. As my daughter says, “God don’t like ugly”. Stay positive, stay Godly. I found Doug znd stacy about a year ago and it was instilled in me whatever you want you have to work hard for it ! That is what inspired me to continue to watch them , whatever they have they have earned and I m forever grateful to them. I am a widow living on a fixed income and my health is failing me . Stacy has been God sent teaching me how to eat healthier and doug teaching me how to build raised beds to stay healthier . Your right it doesn't happen over night but I am further with them than I would be without them. ,
The two channels that I know of that bashed doug and stacy better remember God don't like nasty !! Thank you for your honesty and being real
Tessie, I am a long time subscriber to your channel. I like how real you keep it. You are a good person no matter if you had your tooth fixed or not. Either way you are beautiful on the inside. I don't know what part of country you're in, but I KNOW we'd be friends. I am old. My parents grew up during the great depression. Most all died before I could learn all they had to teach. I used to watch Doug and Stacy years ago but don't now. The only channels I still watch from back then are Little Village Homestead( which is how I found you) and Deep South Homestead.

I’m glad he encouraged you! It doesn’t matter how anyone dresses, what I look for is complete honesty. I can’t stand a fraud or anyone criticizing another UA-camr and tearing them down. I do understand someone standing up for their good name though.

I've been following Doug & Stacy about 1+ year. I am always so inspired by them. Down to earth, real people that want everyone to do well. I'm not able, at this time, to homestead but I hold on to the inspiration they share, Stacy's cookbooks & their tips while preparing for my chance. In spite of illness and disabilities, I too, never say never. Love from Norway!
