Not enough knowledge about Elephant's needs affected Jumbo terribly. Jumbo was in such pain and whiskey would not help his pain. Sugary food would have had detrimental results on Jumbo's health. I feel so very sad for what he went through. He did not have others like himself, he must have suffered so .

Ignorance caused the suffering of Jumbo. He and his keeper had a repore and I believe his Keeper truly had his welfare in mind. So much was not known about Elephant's dietary and social needs at the time. PT Barnum exploited animals and people for his show so their fates were not his concern. This was a learning experience.

Jumbo wanted to be free, not tide down to humans. No one care they wanted the fame through jumbo. David already no the Answer Why bother to ask the question.? He was tormented, and not happy

I sobbed through most of this video. I knew he lost his life needlessly,but had forgotten the details.
Humans are the worst creatures that God created. Animals would never be cruel for gain…I am so sad that I missed my life’s calling. I am too old and unwell to be what I should have been.
Unfortunately, we don’t get to live life over. But if I could, I would be an animal advocate a very, very strong animal advocate. I love all animals and always will till my last breath, but I could’ve done so much more. Thank you, Sir David Attenborough. You are a true Gem.
