We have co-installed our first Sun Synk inveter over the weekend. This is indeed an amazing feature, our customers love it. Thank you for this amazing product.
If you put the shaving as an extra setting in the timer slots, that would be really cool - you could then, theoretically, during the day when there's solar, use this to limit how much you use from the grid, so to consume the spikes in load.
I've been debating as to which brand to join on my backup (to one day be solar) system and after watching a few of your videos I've come to a realisation; Why would I go any route other than Synsynk? You're constantly contributing to the Sunsynk channel and the amount of videos I've seen you in (long before looking seriously) really shows how valuable both you and your brand is. If there are any problems, I know Sunsynk will be front and center and you're not afraid to be in that position either. My choice - Sunsynk. Thank you for helping me after my long search!
I saw the video and I understood what you described. Wish the camera would re-focus a bit faster, but ok... The reason why I'm complaing now is, that I simply do not come to the point where I can says: "that's what I need and I will use it that way". It's the same problem I have with the "smart load" feature, these inverters come with. I simply do not have an idea, under which circumstances these specific setups or modes are useful. Simply said: I miss some scenarios to finally get the advantages of these features !
Thank you..I'm an electrician...YOU the owner/leassor/employer is the person purchasing...a Variable Speed Drive (VSD) has over 300 settings...the Factory engineers provide the settings to the electrician...so MUST you ..& according to the OSH Act YOU the owner/leassor/employer SHALL provide the ladders, the safe site, and ensure all hazards are removed on your property...do any of you Domestic dwellers do this for your electricians? NO! So big mouth, you know another thing...the Certificate of Compliance...puts YOU the owner/leassor/employer as the responsible person, once the COC is handed over...that's MARKET Dictated Best Practice..so you Google/UA-cam educated idiots can stop gunning your sparkies...we just install pal...you are the expert of the machine and site conditions...so go fly your kite elsewhere
Looks like I'm going to have to do the same. My installer isn't able to answer basic questions around how to change when the battery is allowed to draw from the grid to recharge.
Hi Thank you so much. I am using V2L as generator input. Peak shaving to 2kw. My home regular standby load is less than a kw. I hope this should do. Do i need ct coil for generator input for generator peak shaving?
I'm worried about the amount of people on the Sunsynk forum saying that there are big inaccuracies on the feed in and that the inverter takes from the grid when it's not needed. What really worries me is the lack of response from Sunsynk. Can you do anything to ease my fears?
Agreed, first thing I have noticed here is a lack of responses to comments, people would feel more comfortable if they got answers to questions from Sunsynk.
Hello, having a bit of a problem with my Sunsynk 3.6kw Ecco Hybrid Inverter. It is basically connected to a 2.5kw solar array and charges 3 x Sunsynk 5.1kw batteries. The situation is I also have another 4kw solar array on my roof with its own inverter. This simply supplies power to the house and has no batteries . It is also linked to a very good FIT and the reason the new system is connected after my Generation meter . I am noticing on my Sunsynk inverter and app that when my 4 kw array satisfies the house load the excess goes back to the grid. How can I get this excess to go towards charging my Sunsynk batteries please ?
Why Deye/Sunsynk does no 3phase assymetric feeding with the pv power (towards normal grid connected home loads), when battery settings is on NoBatt ..... ?
It is not actually "Grid Peak Shaving". I have confirmed with Sunsynk support that "The power calculation for grid peak shaving does not include the power of the household loads, only the battery charging power, the load power of the Load ports & the power of the smart loads. Our manual will subsequently change this as well." If you have household loads then Grid Peak Shaving does not happen as claimed. I have a SUNSYNK-50K-SG01HP3-EU-BM4
On my current solar/battery solution I am limiting the batter rather than the grid. This tends to allow the battery discharge to be averaged out over a longer period rather than forcing the battery to discharge at maximum rate reducing the available battery when the loads are below your desired battery discharge. Also what happens if the grid is limited and the battery does not have enough capacity?
The minimum setting for peak shaving power is 1000w. I have one of the smaller honda inverter generators (eu10i/eu1000i) which is rated for 0,9kVA. Would you consider allowing a lower minimum value in a future firmware version perhaps, to cater for smaller generators?
Hi. Is my understanding correct... if I have a 5kW inverter and my generator running with peak shaving set to 2kW, I can supply a load of 7 kW (assuming the 5kW is provided from the battery or/and pv array).
I am looking at this device but what I need is the data from this device. Home Assistant or Node Red. What software does this use, any TCP Ports I can connect to?
Hi. This looks like what I’m looking for. I’m looking at two 5kw inverters in parallel with 11.5kw solar on roof. If off grid mode, is it possible to essentially double the critical load output when two are in parallel?
Such a shame you don't get an instantaneous reading every time you refresh the app....Their servers are very often offline, and there's no way to get the readings onto your phone directly without their servers.....Servers are now only updated once every minute - it used to be every 30 seconds (even every 30s is way too low...so every 60s is awful)
why is it useful and nice if you are connected to grid are there lots of people on generators somewhere please make things clear at the beginning of video to save us time researching unnecessary things

Deye is about the same, but the effort sunsynk is putting in teaching is valuable 👍
😊

My generator kicks off if you go over 3.5kw so this is a.good.feature.to.stop that happening and my generator stopping due to overload
This video deserves more recognition.
You have a bright future in this field.
I learned so much from this video.
This video made my day better.
Brilliant, can't wait for sunsink system

Same here installer not a clue, tbf I did specify the inverter as needed off grid functionality, but still, no idea.
このビデオはたくさんのポジティブな価値をもたらしてくれます。
Would it be correct to assume the same applies on the PV side? You could prioritise or deprioritise solar usage?
I've watched this video multiple times already.
Thanks for confirming the feature i believed.
Hiciste un trabajo increíble.
Dieses Video ist unglaublich inspirierend.
Aprendí mucho de este video.

I like to know more about the ⛅ sink
Ho imparato così tanto da questo video.

Hi could you please advise on the price in the UK of the sunsynk 8kw out put hybrid inverter
Thanks
How does one the power or amps supplied by the generator if the generator is a small one with limited power.
Hello, having a bit of a problem with my Sunsynk 3.6kw Ecco Hybrid Inverter. It is basically connected to a 2.5kw solar array and charges 3 x Sunsynk 5.1kw batteries. Hi can you stop the grid from charging the battery while in grid limit mode
If i set timer to 90% with no grid, wilk it still use battery power of i set grid max at 2kw?
Why Deye/Sunsynk does no 3phase assymetric feeding with the pv power (towards normal grid connected home loads), when battery settings is on NoBatt ..... ?

Does this setting exist for the Battery ? For my use limiting the battery use would be helpful.

All very well, but I’d only want it to recharge on Go Faster, not at 30p a unit?

My installer said if I change any settings it would invalidate my warranty, but yet sunsyk provide instructions on how to make changes. Bit confused.
Hi. Is my understanding correct... if I have a 5kW inverter and my generator running with peak shaving set to 2kW, I can supply a load of 7 kW (assuming the 5kW is provided from the battery or/and pv array).
But your inverter can only handle 5kw so you would need a bigger inverter
Will this work without putting the CT coil ? Thanks
I am looking at this device but what I need is the data from this device.
Home Assistant or Node Red.
What software does this use, any TCP Ports I can connect to?
OH! So that is what Grid Peak Shaving means..
Please explain the 0.2 bar in red
I have a 5kWHR Battery (SunSynk Inverter); Could you provide me with the location for the Temperature sensor to be installed on the battery
So could this load balance even in peak demand?
Non riuscivo a staccare gli occhi dallo schermo mentre lo guardavo.

Where can i find it EU?

Theses comments are giving me north Korea vibes 😂
Looks like rebranded deye inverter
i think it is a deye but apparently has their own firmware on though.
It is with a nice upgrade on firmware and great support!
Sir I have a question, will it work even without grid input. offgrid only ❓
Yes it can work as either on or off grid
why is it useful and nice if you are connected to grid
are there lots of people on generators somewhere
please make things clear at the beginning of video to save us time researching unnecessary things
