I used to watch aphmau back in 2016-2020 ish, right before she started making this content. It was sometimes just standard UA-cam let’s play stuff, but it was really special to me. Her mystreet, diaries series and other spin-offs were actually of really good quality(though there were some that missed the landing) and they had very good voice acting with real voice actors, 3D animation scenes,etc. I am sad to part with this channel, but I understand Jess has to do what she has to do to make income.
Same here. She was actually one of the UA-camrs who basically raised me. Along with popularMMOS, little Kelly and some others as well. But I watched her for as long as I remember, then around 2020 I just, to me personally her channel started to lose that magical playful charm that it once had, it took a huge left turn, not necessarily bad, but not my cup of tea. I miss those magical moments from a few years ago, when I’d wait for her videos and watch them as soon as I got the notification, I miss that feeling, and it’s kinda like a punch to the gut. A reminder that nothing is gonna stay the same forever. But I’m also happy that kids watch her content still, and love it, they get that feeling that me and others once got from her channel. I know she changed it to make a living and try to keep up with what kids like nowadays, so I can’t be that upset. Sorry I got off track 💀
You know the world is fucked up when you start seeing good UA-camrs have to resort to these kinds of things because it’s what the people want, along with the fact that she’s providing for a younger audience now, along with her children. I just wonder why she doesn’t move her old role-play videos to her other channel, to you know separate it.

To be honest, she's doing what she has to do. I used to watch her videos when I was younger (My Street and Minecraft Diaries) and I am genuinely grateful to her for providing a good childhood not only for myself, but millions of other kids. I know videos like "aphmau is pregnant with twin angels" isn't the best look, but she's still raking in millions of views. UA-cam and it's audience are evolving so, Aphmau and her team are being very wise by moving with the algorithm. Simple as that. Yhea I also heard she had to stop her big rp's like my inner demon and my street because her fans were pressuring her and she couldn't take the mental strain so she moved to more little kids stuff to stop the stress.
I am forever going to miss Aphmaus series like my street,Minecraft diaries ,etc but I understand why she has to keep up with the algorithm and has to adapt over time and needs to make money for her kids and money for her worker’s.

Aphmau used to actually make some really good roleplays, from minecraft diaries to mystreet, then she stopped making the roleplays and it's definitely taken a toll on her reputation as an OG Minecraft youtuber, it's all because her content has turned fully towards kids unlike back in the minecraft Diaries days where it was for kids and older audiences.
I find it odd he never mentions her stories, like minecraft diaries, mysteet, or my inner demons. I know what she’s doing is a lot more children-geared but there was a time she put a substantial amount of effort into a storyline or animation
I mean she gets on trending constantly she just found what works for her so she can provide for her family. She has like 3 or 4 kids and she needs to be able to feed all of them including herself and her husband. She has mentioned roleplays in her past community posts but in a older one she said she’s unsure if she’ll be able to do them again since they just don’t get as many views as the ones she does now that are easier to make so she can upload daily while still having an element of fun to them.
Surprisingly for most people, aphmau used to make decent videos where she would swear every like 10 seconds? Sound like a lie but search for a paper clips video from her, the swears are thrown around like carbon dioxide being created by some greedy factory workers being underpaid
I honestly don’t think there’s anything wrong with being child friendly nowadays but a lot of these UA-camrs just make them selfs too child friendly and act like their fanbase are 3 months old
I dislike the loud screaming and talking over each other. It’s like, “what’s even going on?” or “what’s even happening?”. It’s very cringe as well with this “talking to me like I’m 4”, but whatever I guess. I think it should be dialed down. Wow, you just brought back a lot of memories from 7 years ago. I used to watch Little Kelly a lot growing up (now I can’t click on a single video with a straight face). Soon after Little Kelly spawned Little Carly, Little Lizard, some dude named Sharky, and then her “daughter” in her role play universe (I think?) Little Leah, and so on and so forth. I don’t know where we went wrong. Her content used to be cringe but now… it’s horrifying
Considering the fact that her videos that are obviously marketed towards children involve mature themes like pregnancy, I think she should be banned, and pregnancy is not the only mature theme she’s had in her kid-friendly videos, she also incorporates other mature themes like romantic content and violence, that just makes me want her to be banned even MORE
I know this is probably gonna get some flax from people, but Aphmau didn't just do it because of the algorithm, according to her Community post from about a year or so ago. She expressed how upset she was that people were constantly pushing and stressing her with new roleplay updates, to the point where she had to rush storylines, had to rush characters, etc. It became too much for her mental wellbeing and her family's, to the point where she claimed she will not give set dates for roleplays anymore and will not even mention them before she's ready to, and we should respect it. This type of content, as she puts it, is easier and less stressful to make, even when she has to get creative with it. It might be aimed towards marketability and kids, but hey, can't say anything when you have a family to work for, right? Part of it is evolving with the ages, the other part is just trying to keep a happier workplace and mental state.

I feel like it's the curse of being a strictly minecraft channel. Most of the minecraft youtubers I watched when I was a kid either evolved into someone messed up or uploads weird content now. Or the rare channels that upload the same stuff; have died horribly.

Her audience has always been younger kids, I mean, she knows what they enjoy, she's a mum herself. She now appeals to them because she enjoys it and it brings money to her household. I have to agree with you, but as a long time viewer of Aphmau, I used to watch her all the way back in 2016-2017, her roleplays where borderline art. Though mostly cringy, with a more developed story, world and full on 3d or even 2d animation, it could've been something great. Something all ages could've enjoyed. Today though, her content, just feels... rushed, poor quality, I guess. With each video coming out DAILY, she's only getting so long to work on a video. She's opted for quantity over quality.

She used to do gacha parodies, it perfectly captured the ridicuolousness of gacha videos made by little children, it was actually somewhat decent! Didn't know she made roleplays before then or... ''this'' whatever you call it now. I think she just got lazy at one point and started using the ideas which were for the parodies for minecraft content because it was easy and made her money, i can't blame her, so weirdly enough, the point of time where she made GACHA videos was when she at her best, at her peak, or should i say, *the beak?*

I may not have grown up with aphmau's channel but sometimes I will look at old videos and compare them to new ones and yes the content has changed I really prefer her older content like ratty catty or golf with friends and her role plays. Her content now is a little weird but she doesn't need to be stopped. I understand why some people hate her, but I don't think they should necessarily hate her you don't have to like her new content but she doesn't deserve hate if you don't like it then don't watch it. I watched Aphmau since the Phoenix Drop High seires, and I have to disagree with you. Your only pointing out the stuff you think is "cringy," but if you actually watch all her videos, not just her pregnancy ones, you'd see that they actually have life lessons. Yes her old seires like My Inner Demons, Mystreet, Diaries Rebirth etc were WAY better then her new vids, but if Aphmau, her friends, and her subscribers/veiwers like her content, then leave them be. What I got from this video was that you are trying to tell people not to watch what they like. Now, thats probably not what you intend, but thats how I feel. Nothing stays the same forever. Subs doesn’t really matter in this situation, but I agree with a few points you made. Everyone likes something different, so it’s okay if they watch something that another person may find “cringe worthy”. I two think that the roleplay series were the bomb and I would love for her to continue my street, but I also get that that might not happen as it takes a lot of time to create those episodes and that means that it will also cost more due to the fact that you can’t post those episodes everyday. Why am I talking about money? Cus she’s made Yt her job, so that’s the place she will get her money from. To sum up my story: We shouldn’t shame a person for liking different content, no matter how “bad” (in their eyes) or “cringy” it may be. I loved watching Aphmau’s old pixelmon survival series then she made my street and some other stuff and never went back to the pixelmon survival series and I was so upset about that I completely stop watching her videos like it felt like I was betrayed by her I was that upset and my heart was broken for years and to be honest still a bit upset

I watched Aphmau when she was in her peak, and I used to imagine where the stories would go if they continued, now I just look at her videos in disappointment.
I did watch one of her more modern videos for TeamSeas and it was painful to sit thru. If it wasn’t for a good cause I normally would’ve never touched it. Also I’ve noticed that a lot her content ends up on trending for gaming

Wow, you just brought back a lot of memories from 7 years ago. I used to watch Little Kelly a lot growing up (now I can’t click on a single video with a straight face). I know this is probably gonna get some flax from people, but Aphmau didn't just do it because of the algorithm, according to her Community post from about a year or so ago. She expressed how upset she was that people were constantly pushing and stressing her with new roleplay updates, to the point where she had to rush storylines, had to rush characters, etc. It became too much for her mental wellbeing and her family's, to the point where she claimed she will not give set dates for roleplays anymore and will not even mention them before she's ready to, and we should respect it.
This type of content, as she puts it, is easier and less stressful to make, even when she has to get creative with it. It might be aimed towards marketability and kids, but hey, can't say anything when you have a family to work for, right? Part of it is evolving with the ages, the other part is just trying to keep a happier workplace and mental state.

I feel like it's the curse of being a strictly minecraft channel. Most of the minecraft youtubers I watched when I was a kid either evolved into someone messed up or uploads weird content now. Or the rare channels that upload the same stuff; have died horribly.
I honestly don’t see a problem with aphmaus content. Only thing I’d say to her is take a break to get new ideas or try new games-? I’ve grown up with Aphmau since she begun her channel about 9 years ago.

I have to agree with you, but as a long time viewer of Aphmau, I used to watch her all the way back in 2016-2017, her roleplays where borderline art. Though mostly cringy, with a more developed story, world and full on 3d or even 2d animation, it could've been something great. Something all ages could've enjoyed. Today though, her content, just feels... rushed, poor quality, I guess. With each video coming out DAILY, she's only getting so long to work on a video. She's opted for quantity over quality.

I may not have grown up with aphmau's channel but sometimes I will look at old videos and compare them to new ones and yes the content has changed I really prefer her older content like ratty catty or golf with friends and her role plays. Her content now is a little weird but she doesn't need to be stopped. I understand why some people hate her, but I don't think they should necessarily hate her you don't have to like her new content but she doesn't deserve hate if you don't like it then don't watch it.
Yes her new content is I admit hard to watch a little especially if you grew up with the channel it will be hard to swallow anything "less" than what you remember.I do this alot also with TV shows or other UA-camrs but you can't blame them. They are human to and they make decisions that they know that not everyone will like in order to keep up with the fast moving times.

I watched Aphmau since the Phoenix Drop High seires, and I have to disagree with you. Your only pointing out the stuff you think is "cringy," but if you actually watch all her videos, not just her pregnancy ones, you'd see that they actually have life lessons. Yes her old seires like My Inner Demons, Mystreet, Diaries Rebirth etc were WAY better then her new vids, but if Aphmau, her friends, and her subscribers/veiwers like her content, then leave them be.
What I got from this video was that you are trying to tell people not to watch what they like. Now, thats probably not what you intend, but thats how I feel. Nothing stays the same forever. Subs doesn’t really matter in this situation, but I agree with a few points you made. Everyone likes something different, so it’s okay if they watch something that another person may find “cringe worthy”. I two think that the roleplay series were the bomb and I would love for her to continue my street, but I also get that that might not happen as it takes a lot of time to create those episodes and that means that it will also cost more due to the fact that you can’t post those episodes everyday. Why am I talking about money? Cus she’s made Yt her job, so that’s the place she will get her money from.
To sum up my story: We shouldn’t shame a person for liking different content, no matter how “bad” (in their eyes) or “cringy” it may be. You can have your opinion, that’s fine, but don’t tell others that they are wierd or psycho for watching something you have an opinion on.

Dude did you even watch the content on their other channels (glitch production)? Meta runner, sunset paradise and murder drone are lit. Also, Smg4 content is still good, and there is actually a storyline.
I want to say...i love aphmau...the old aphmau....i loved her roleplayes like "my streat" or "pheanix high" but now....i just...its sad really

What do you mean? She does this kind of content for fun. She doesn't do her old content because she was very much under pressure while doing her old videos (with the deadlines and stuff) and didn't bring much views either. She has fun doing what she does now.
And it worked! As much as I think about her roleplays everyday, before it’d take her a year to get 1 million subscribers. Now she gets a million about every 2-3 months! It’s what kids like, even though it’s hard to admit.
