Absolutely, everyone needs to come at least one time and experience the hills of the DBBB ! Hate it that we missed it this spring but we will be out ! The support of the DBBB and the community should be a standard for every rural community in my opinion. Just even speaking about it to the ones to make something like this in our area is like pulling your own teeth. The gorge area has been a favorite of our family and always will be. Thank y’all for the teaser, can’t wait to see the rest ! 👍👍
I'm going to have to keep an eye out on the next event. There aren't really many of these types of events down here in FL, so road tripping is something we tend to do quite often. Usually in the southern Appalachians. Y'all really aren't that much further north. Despite the rain, I bet spring time is beautiful up in the mountains.
Damn Bill... you guys need to go camping in the Southwest and help with the drought out there.. 😆 Sorry I missed you guys. Would have been a good opportunity to bring my grandfather, although he would not have liked all the rain. Glad to Kelly got his campertop! Looks awesome!
LOL. We are heading to Arizona and Utah next week to see if we can help with the drought situation 🤣 after Friday night the weather dried up and it was great! Sure would have been great to hang out with you and granddaddy

I can't wait to get down there as soon as Mopar/ Chrysler gives me my walking/retirement papers soon. So much more opportunities for overlanding off roading there in Kentucky compared to Michigan. The KAT/ DBBB/ HOLLERWOOD. House hunting hard every day at work, probably staying a little west of London Kentucky area. Can't wait for your next video.

We just got back from Callies, we rode all weekend, been riding Slade area trails and DBNF for 20+ years. That first trail was definitely not Gatekeeper, Gatekeeper is off of Fixer Leeco on the KAT right before Peaceful Valley resort. Its downhill from Holiday Hill and Jacob's Ladder
Great video. But note to self when doing a long overland adventure go the opposite direction of coddiwomple over land to avoid the rain. just joking hope to one day meet Bill and Debb on the trails.
It seems like you've been dragging the rain with you on nearly every outing. Can you post a calendar of where y'all are going and when, so the rest of us can avoid your weather? 😂🤣☔️⛈ (I'm only half joking..)
We are, we liked it so much we put one on the Gladiator also. We have used the awnings numerous times in rain over the last 2 years. It is one of the pieces of equipment that we use on every trip.

They said that this was the "gate keeper" for this trail. Not the gatekeeper trail

The walls are a big help in wind driven rain and cold weather.
