Picking mine up today. I have to say the rip cord and odyssey are the main balls I’m using rite now and loving them. 3 - 300s and 2 - 800s between them since Feb this year. Love the videos and your channels. Thank you for all you do.

Picked up the Blue Coral Venom 3 weeks ago, last Friday threw that ball in all 3 league games, average a 160 that night, my average for the year is 132, made a big difference, bowling league tonight, will see if I can keep that average up!
I've been throwing the supra for about 2 months now. I love the motion down lane and smoothness of it. One of my favorite balls i've had.

Thank you so much for your ball reviews, they're great. I had my mind made up to by the mythic jackal until I seen this ball come out. I was waiting for your review to decide which ball to buy. In your opinion which is the better ball.
I threw mine Coral Venom for the first time in league last night. Loved the reaction it gave me. Gets to the breakpoint and goes into a nice controlled roll. I recently went all Motiv based on a used Venom Shock I had been throwing the last 3 years. Within the last 2 months I have added the Pride, Lethal Venom, Mythic Jackal and now the Coral Venom. My favorite of the 4 is easily the Mythic. Such a clean ball with easy length then turns the corner and destroys the pins. It's a very aggressive ball. I would say the early results with the Coral put it second on my list although I'm still learning each piece. Motiv keeps coming out with great equipment. If you haven't tried them yet, give the Coral Venom a try. #GetMotivated #MotivNation
I throw all MOTIV and really like all of their stuff. I bowl at two different houses one has a heavy house shot and the other is a little drier. The Venom Shock and Trident Nemesis work well at one house and the Trident Odyssey and Forge Flare work well for me at the other.
Shot 719 out of box with mine last night. Ball is phenomenal!!

I’m enjoying my Motiv and DV8 equipment. I have 2 Motiv (Supra Enzo & Ripcord Velocity) and 2 DV8 (Poison Solid & Hellraiser Blaze) plus my Brunswick Tzone. I’m considering adding the Blue Coral Venom.
Hope to get one next week when I am at your clinic. ;) Depends on your feedback on my game and how it fits in my bag though. I love my Recoil though. :D
I like my Zen Master since I bought it at the ball demo and bowl my higest series with it was a 776. I would like to see a ZEN SOUL ball review when you can do a ball review video when you can.

Other than the Toxin, the rest of the Venom balls were very situational. This ball was 749,749, 790 (w/300) first 3 series oob. 676 in a high friction house in 3rd house I struggle at. Would have been 700 if I hadn't derp'd 2 10pin and 6-10
I am really back and forth about getting me one of these. I have the fatal venom and love it. Any chance at doing a comparison vs the Fatal Venom?

I would love to have a Motv solid ball for heavy oil that acted like the Trident nemisis on drier lanes . Love watching it Rev up into the pocket. Makes me feel like I throw a good ball, lol.

Hello J.R. I have general question. I throw a suitcase style roll. How should I have my ball drilled? It seems they drill it as a normal type bowler. I enjoy all your videos. Thank you for your advice.
Opinion question. I bowl between 13 to 15 mph, three step delivery (I know) but I'm able to move left to right and forward or backward as lane conditions change. Have a 182 average. Looking for a ball where I could stay to the right hitting between the five board and ten board. I need this when moving left isn't working or when the oil has broken down. I believe I need a slow lumbering ball that will hit the pocket hard. Which one of these should I choose? Motive Blue Coral or the DV8 Medusa. After watching this review I'm leaning toward this one. Open for a better suggestion.
I currently use the Radical Sasquatch for any shot to the left and crossing the midlane; I love this ball.. I'm surprised on how much I like this radical ball. My current bench mark ball is the Villian. Will replace with a different benchmark thinking about the Pride or Scorpian. Side note...which one of these would you choose? The ball I use when everything is really dry and going over the center is Ebonite Cyclone. My urethane is still the gray Tank. My heavy oil ball is the Ebonite Warrior; looking to replace this ball later in the year before tournaments.
My favorite balls tend to be Motive and now the Radical Sasquatch.
I have the purple hammer and motiv venom recoil in my bag
for me this ball works best in a dry-medium oil condition. Just had 244 and 206 game with it.
Most consistent ball in my bag would be the iq tour solid, favorite ball in the bags would be the Optimus and the sky rocket with the trident odyssey right behind

JR ? Question on your five step approach. Why such a large first step. I also take 5 steps but I’ve been watching everyone say it’s a short first step a much larger 3rd. Lmk….. Tip or suggestions on should I try something different. Thanks! I did just purchase this ball as well. Only two practice game’s at the moment. So I can’t judge. But I’ve loved the Shock since the first time I released it. ❤️❤️❤️
I am looking at the 900 Global Zen Soul.
Looking to get my first ball, not even sure what the first step would be. Would this be a good ball for a beginner? Do you have any suggestions of other balls that may be good for a beginner?

My bags are filled with nothing but Motiv. But my new favorite is this mythic jackal. I have it drilled 55x4x45 and it is super clean. I can throw it in league all three games. It clean and smooth. This coral venom will be a great addition as well. I would love to see the all time predator V2 core in the jackal line wrapped with the microcell cover from the desert tank. That would be a good ball to compete with the gray Rubicon uc3.

What happened to your lane view camera JR? The resolution looks very low and has compression artifacts. Not sharp.
I've got one, I'd say I'm more speed dominant, 17-18mph and 350-375rpm. I threw this on a 36 foot alcatraz swinging it from the left where others weren't and while that only lasted a game, I was able to run this ball all night and win the Sweeper because of the versatility. I also threw it on Big Ben a couple weeks later. I had a chance there as well starting at +43. If I hit my spares.... regardless the ball gave me what I needed.
How does this compare to the Mythic? I think if I had that on Big Ben, I wouldn't have needed as many spares! Lol Thoughts?

You know what would be cool to see is drilling two of the same ball and do your typical 45 by 4.5 by 45 and the other do a 45 by 4.5 by 20 and compare the reactions. We know what the difference is just how much of a difference would be cool to watch and gauge.

Need to get a new ball. I was thinking Storm Nova but this looks sweet. How do they compare? I don't have that strong of a hook.
I'd say get something like the nova. It's really strong so it would help your weak rev game
I personally don't agree with Stomping. The Nova is a strong ball but if you are more speed dominant and/or lacking revs you MAY
want something that's even stronger than the Nova on the backend. I got the NOVA for the fact that I have a lower rev rate hoping
it would allow me to play more right etc. but the NOVA still has issues not getting to the pocket for me. It'll use up it's energy on me
to early and doesn't enter the pocket with enough power. If that sounds kind of like your situation, look into an Altered Reality. Those
balls are fucking MEAN and hit with a ton of power for me even with my lower rev rate.
Curious as to how the Gear APG would be with the Turmoil MFS cover like the Shock has instead of the Coercion MFS cover on the Recoil. Needless to say, this Blue Coral is on the top of my "to buy" list.
It would puke if it had the shock cover. The shock is one of the stronger covers in the brand tbh

I'm a 65 yr old bowler with slower speed now...and medium revs when I throw it right. Lolol..have a Black Widow pink that is getting long in the tooth...looking for something that is less slide flip, because I'm not consistently carrying the 10 pin with the pink anymore...would this work for me?

So should you sand up the cover slightly?
Do you even know what sanding a coverstock will do for your ball and how it'll effect it's reaction on the lane?
If not, then that's the question you should be asking first. Based on how you asked your question I'm pretty sure
you don't exactly know or understand what sanding a bowling ball will do? Not trying to be a smartass either.
When you say slow, what mph you throwing?
To my eyes, looks like he slowed it down to about 16mph. Could be wrong. I'm sure JR will clarify.

I have a suggestion for your ball review videos. Not everyone 🙋 knows what you're talking about when you just give the dimensions of the layout. You have a thumb nail of the ball on the screen. Why not have a picture of the drilled ball so people can actually see what the layout is? I for one would find that helpful.
The way a layout looks on a ball is going to change based on your PAP location so a 40x4.5x40 for him would look different than a 40x4.5x40 for you. He has a video where he tells you his PAP. I forget how far right it is, his is ⅜ up I'm pretty sure where mine is ⅜ down. Layouts are based on PAP location to his pin would be ¾ higher than mine if I know what I'm talking about
@@ethanwilliams2254 all the more reason to actually show what the layout is then.
@@m.wilson2624 seeing the location of his pin in realtion to the finger holes wouldn't make a difference in learning what layouts look like unless you have the exact same PAP as him. He has other videos where he lays out a ball and explains what the three number mean though. But in case your wondering, the layout he uses (45x4.5x45) is just a really balanced layout that won't roll to early but also won't delay for too long
