Oh. My. Goodness. I have never heard this explained so well. I love the clockface analogy. And thank you for showing the difference between spin and turn in relation to how the follow's feet move.
that has got to be one of the best explanations of an 8 count I have ever heard and I am very lucky to have taken a whips class from lemery many years ago at a place called Dance Factory in Arlington Virginia
Yes she is great I've taken 12 hours of group lessons with her but only got the opportunity to social dance with but only got the opportunity to social dance with her once I am happy to say I've danced twice with Debbie Tuttle and a bunch of times with K new house and Erica Smith life is good take care and keep posting the awesome videos
Nice info. I'm intrigued as to why you tell people to "say yes" Is that a power move or control issue or are you genuinely expecting someone to say no so that you may go into more detail?
TheEnd3, lolol!! RBF maybe.. she's actually a super sweetheart. She's probably tired of hearing me talk. She's been with me since 11 years old. But she can teach the heck out of this info.
D'Amico Dance yes....I watch all your videos so I know she’s great!!!!! But all I could think of was me and my husband... lol.... it was sooo me!!!!! I look like that all the time!!!!! Hahaha.... Too cute!!!!
When you are the instructor's partner you have to listen very closely to what they want to demonstrate about that move, and you have to be fully prepared to freeze on exact counts--sometimes without being explicitly told where to stop. She looks like she's concentrating on all of that.
@Ben G For real though, when I go to ballroom lessons my teacher hands me off between my partner and himself. I hate those days when we're working on spins.

Country Two Step Swing , thanks for watching and commenting. I’m glad you liked the explanation.
The more I hear about the balance beams from you, the more my mental camera of understanding begins to focus on why two are needed and how they work.
I'm glad it's helpful.

More just affirming that they understand. A verbal agreement.
This is great! Thanks a super detailed and needed explanation.
