I always wondered what that black plastic tool was for, I now need to go and find it in my shed and put it in a safe place . I'm hoping I haven't thrown it away !!!!
Err maybe i did it wrong but i never took that blend off i just opened the 13mm screws and then moved the grill in the position.. finished.. later push it back.
great video mate, good n helpful, could you make a video of how the gearbox should look when you change gears as you look into the engine area, mine has come loose and i just wana see how a gearbox in an obviously well maintained T4 should look, thanks,
I make these videos as I work on my van, and upload them in the hope they are useful. If you are happy to wait a few years for when I need to work on my gearbox then I am happy to get one up here. If you have an urgent need, there hopefully is something useful around. Best of luck from me :) Cheers, Michael.
Mine (93' EV non-diesel) has the hinges broken on both side of the radiator. Very difficult to fold the radiator out.I fold radiator out and wedge a piece of 2x4 on each end to hold it there. LOL!These older Vans can have sooooo many problems compare to my older BMW and much higher millage, which just run, runs and runs. Much better design!
Vans are likely to be more abused, and the basics is that the engine is spending more time at higher output, whereas a car is usually doing next to nothing. By the way, you could try sticky tape and string ;)
No way, this vehicle has needed very little maintenance and is very economical, plus being all wheel drive, long wheel base, 1.2 tonne carrying capacity. It would be very hard for me to replace.
Thanks...I encourage you to look at your video and ask yourself if you should stand to the side so you can see what you are actually doing when you are removing things.
As has been said, thank you for sharing, not the first video of yours I have seen, all very helpful.
Thanks, glad to be of help :)
Cracking vlog and thanks again for sharing.

My bonnet release cable has snapped, any ideas on how to open the bonnet? It's the same as the one in the video with the intercooler. a 94 T4 1.9 tdi.
I have not yet had to deal with that.
Very helpful, thank you.
I am happy that anyone can find this useful.
Cheers, Michael.
Right, thankyou, I’ll give it ago.

Excellent video, slightly more work involved with the TDI model, but still straight forward enough.
This is a TDI 2004 model.
It's the only one I have.
Thanks for the encouragement.
Cheers, Michael.

Anyone know what the tools called to pull the panel out? The black one near the beginning?
I don't know what the tool is called either. :/
There's no way I'd work on a car wearing trousers that colour!
You have no sense of humour ;)
Those trousers are great for an oil change ;)
Lol
Poor camera position, you in front of it means we can't see anything!
