I extended the life of my Article sofa by going to a local foam shop and replacing the cushions. It was less than $200 to do every cushion, and the quality of the new foam is way better than the original. Much better than replacing the whole couch! I'm not sure if the foam in your couch model can be easily removed though.
@@rockymountainfoothills I have not gotten new foam because t's still very comfortable. I discovered that this couch has mostly feathers in the side and back cushions anyways.
I use to work for the company here in Austin Tx. The amount of money that they ask for their furniture is ridiculously high. I didn’t like it. Working for them was fun though.
This is a lovely video and very useful concerning Article furniture, thank you for posting! I'm in Bothell and am thinking about purchasing 2 of the Fantol bookcases and the Senso media unit. Thanks again! :)
I've bought an outdoor couch from Article. It's nice quality, however, potential buyers beware: Article does not carry or send replacement parts and you might want to think twice before purchasing. My dog chewed up one of the back cushions, so I thought, no problem, I'll just order another from Article. I was told by support that "Unfortunately, we don’t currently offer parts for sale." That's shocking for a premium furniture company. I then asked if they could at least send me the correct material so that I could try and have someone locally make one, and they offered to send me " a swatch." When I asked what the company might be doing in the future to help customers like myself, I was told, "I regret to inform you that we currently have no plans to modify our "no parts for sale" policy. While we understand this may be disappointing." So basically, if something happens to your $2200 couch post-purchase, you're screwed. Knowing that this company doesn't support it's customers post-purchase with replacement parts, I won't be buying any further furniture from Article.
Ballard Consignment can be so hit and miss and then when you love it, it's really expensive sometimes! We're bring a baby girl into this world in July and just had some help with a Pottery Barn employee designing our apartment. We have some of the same sentiments as you about being sustainable, but also feel we want to outgrow our IKEA furniture and get something new with heirloom quality -- hard balance. I appreciate your review and love the idea around being between IKEA and West Elm with the price to quality ratio. If we don't find any great thrifts, we'll definitely be going online for Article.
Interesting video, thanks for sharing. I will say, I have the Tessu bed from Article and I love it. Doesn’t make a sound and seems like it will last forever.
Why is furniture so expensive 😩 your Airbnb is beautiful though, enjoy it and try not to regret (at least it turned out so nice!) I’ll keep it in mind for a future visit to deception pass. Thanks for sharing!
I’m happy this video isn’t what I thought it’d be- I thought you too had been scammed by the Furnishr company. But that was the biggest mistake of MY life :(
I absolutely love that rug! It's from Ikea, they used to have a spot in the rugs where they sew together smaller portions of Turkish rugs. I haven't seen it there for a while though unfortunately. @@mjsun80
OMG I have cherry wood furniture from broyhill and it was 9,000 dollars for a dress and 5 foot tall chest of drawers kept for 20 years and still looks brand new. and your complaining about a whole house for 22grand that's an income source for you?! 9 grand 22 grand for a woke generation all you do is label people and complain.
That’s great, I have a few pieces at home that I’ve had for years and it makes me love them even more. I actually really like article furniture, which I think I said in the video. I regret the sustainability crisis we find ourselves in and my lack of time to be able to thrift more 🤷♂️
I forgot to put in a final rating!

Oooh that’s a great idea - especially for the Airbnb that gets rough use
@@ahomeinSeattleany updates on the state of your sofas? Have you gotten new foam for them ?

Congrats on the little one! I feel like everything is expensive these days. But I think Article is solid and I'm happy with it still.

I know! So expensive! Even thrifting is getting pretty pricey these days.
Live and learn, don’t beat yourself up. However, high low is the way to go with Airbnb

the storage unit in the bedroom plus the entryway bench are amazing. I wonder how you get them?
Thank you Alex, very cool!
Glad you liked it!
People do not care about furniture in a short or long term rental. By which I mean it may get rougher treatment,
great video, great taste, thanks for sharing! really gave me some good ideas for decorating our new apartment
thanks for watching!
Where in Seattle? The drone shots are stunning
The house is out on Whidbey Island, north and west of Seattle. It’s so beautiful there!
I think their stuff is fine, but it’s not up to task to accommodate a bunch of renters being rough on it.
