Fwiw Dame stole $500 from me when I refused to sign his bogus NDA/contract when he had a producer development program (I asked for a refund and said I'm out since I wasn't signing anything that gave him a right to pursue my work or derivatives, he didn't want to give the refund, I just washed my hands). He left voicemails like a psychopath, this exact tone he's engaging the other dude but worse.
Last thing I'll add is it's not like we were strangers either, I supported Dame when the dude was selling candy and giving chess lessons to get by, health problems and all, texted dude almost on the daily. That didn't mean a thing with how he decided to treat me.

I used to have a bad opinion on Dame until the last few months I realized he is actually a REAL one. I discovered Dame when I saw my boy Dibiase in his chat. Both worked early on with the group U-N-I. If you from the city you know of them. The thing about Dame is that he don't sugar coat shit. I've worked in the music industry here in LA and it's cut throat. Not everyone gonna make it. And if Dame is too much for you, then you're probably not built for the industry. A lot of music influencers on UA-cam only care to sell their courses and get subscribers, so they lie to their viewers giving them the illusion that they can be successful.
Dame keeps it real and is brutally honest with people and some can't accept it. It's like a football coach. You gotta be harsh because being soft ain't gonna yield results. Dame also makes the hardest beats of all the UA-cam producer influencers by far, and he is well respected by the OG's out here like Cat, 1500, D-Smoke, EA Ski, the list goes on. If you can't take Dame you might need to look at yourself in the mirror tbh.

Also, just saw the post about the guy complaining about the $500. You must not know about NDA's and why Dame and others use them. It's so that he is protected from folks that would sign up just to steal his info and use it for their gain. I've been in the studio with labels and big artists many times and often they had me sign NDA's, it's nothing personal, it's just business. Sounds like you were put off from that and took it personal when it never was that deep, unless you had a malicious intent behind joining.
NDAs are fine, his was open ended with language that could easily be interpreted in a way detrimental to me.
I read contracts before signing.
He took my money, THEN the NDA and stipulations appeared.
When I said I’m out his response at first was it’s cool - then it turned into no refunds.
I issued a dispute on PayPal because I got nothing, didn’t submit a single beat, wasn’t onboarded. Zero.
He won because the fine print said no refunds.
He took my money and all I got was stress.
If someone ambushes you with a contract AFTER taking your money, read it and don’t sign if it puts you in a bad position.
And it was personal in that I treated the dude like a friend through his hardest times and this is how he treated me.
For six years prior to giving him money I knew the dude.
If you act like that despite history, it speaks for itself.
