Thank you for your service brother. Been looking for ideas about emergency fuel. Probably not a bad idea to fill your bottle with Tru Fuel and a teaspoon full of Stabile. Normal day to day operation is not gonna involve using that bottle and the fuel might get old. Saw some cool flexible fuel bladders used by that woman ItchyBoots on her international trips. One of those would fit in your side bag.
Regular pre-lift peanut tank low fuel light comes on at .65 gallon, lifted tank tad less it will come on. Half tank should give you 20 miles to find a station.
Shawn K you’re absolutely right. Tank lift doesn’t help the cause, but I prefer the look. The 30 oz bottle can’t be filled to the top due to fuel expanding, so this particular bottle gives me around 24-26 oz. I hope my life never depends on it lol but it’s a little peace of mind at the moment. Thanks for watching and ride safe 🤘
@@Louie_Ponce_Motography I know that feeling.. have a Seventy-Two. Down load the GasBuddy app. Shows all the stations around you their distance from you current location and directions.
Hey Man, Can you please share the details of your handlebar make? The brand or where you got them from specifically. Also, is there a way to contact you personally via e-mail as I may need some help from you. Sick 48 and looking forward to your reply!
lespaul1648 I installed one on my 2020 Standard last week. Easy breezy and It looks pretty cool.. I put a tall all black backrest and a pillion pad on the rear fender so im ready to do some traveling. Just waiting on my kuryakan 300 watt Bluetooth sound bar, windshield and forward controls and ill be all set.
@@andrewlyon4692 So the bag is a definite fit? I was actually looking into the touring package available for this bike. That it what drew me to the Standard because it is so customizable. You can totally make it your own. I am getting ready to get some black wrap to put on the exhaust to go along with the black Vance and Hines slip ons I put on. Totally love this bike.
Howdy brother. Beautiful black bobbed stallion it is. but Are you sure it's safe to attach a bottle on the engine frame? Even in the whether heat above 100F degrees? If the weather gets hot and the temperature of the bottle rises due to engine heat, the pressure inside the bottle will increase due to the expansion of the gas, which is thought to be dangerous because the lid of the bottle can be popped. How was it using it? Was there any problem with the hot weather after attaching it next to the engine? Actually, I put the same bottle same place as you did, but I don't carry fuel because I'm worried that the hot engine heat and gas expansion could cause the bottle to explode and cause a fire. Please review the use. Brother
If it's a fuel bottle, and not a water bottle, the pressure will slowly release and not explode. Of course if you hit mad-high temperatures all of a sudden then anything with fuel inside it will explode..otherwise you should hear a hiss or have a warning...just like you would with a red gas can / jerry can. Make sense?
Bro I'm from Hawaii and I got a 2021 48. Where did you get the remount kit for the ignition? And did you lift the tank and tuck wires? Clean build tho, some inspiration for me
Hey thanks man, the only thing I know now is that they’re Roland Sands gloves that I bought like 2 years ago when they were on clearance lol any gloves you get from them are legit tho. Ride safe! 🤘
Hey man it’s a 2016 48. Just with 14” apes. I like drag bars too but this gives the bike more stretch. Not that I need it at 5’8” lol but still a little overall size. Thanks for watching man!
I almost feel like throwing this bottle in a backpack that you strap to a sissy bar would be easier for you. How has this been going for you since the video was published?
It’s been solid, man. Thanks for asking! Sissy bar is next for strapping a bag and hitting the road but that’ll come soon! Gotta get a custom sissy bar due the mounting position since the rear fender is almost gone lol 🤘
@@Louie_Ponce_Motography I currently have a Scout Bobber and am looking to add the 48 to my collection... any tips or things I need to know? Also, good on you for recognizing memorial day. @@killernanny4315 right on, man. Always respect the fallen and their families. So for the 48, just know that it’s gonna be different just because it’s air cooled, a little harder on suspension, maybe a bit smaller, shit like that. I’d say test ride or go sit on one. Great bikes though. I love mine. Ride safe 🇺🇸

Thank you for your service!! Awesome build!
Yes, sir! Much appreciated!
im digging the dimensions of your bike. You really changed it around and made it your own!

Extended cables? Yes.
What brand tires are you running?
So slightly off topic but where did you get the seat. Looking to replace my solo with one slightly bigger and that on looks about right.
Hey sorry for late reply brother! It’s a La Rosa seat and I think I got it from eBay. Been a while since I checked. Ride safe and good luck!

Jonathan Onna thanks, man! It’s the original fender, just chopped and smoothed, then painted. Ride safe and thanks for watching! 🤘

Couldn’t find the link to the bottle I bought but it’s just a MSR Fuel Bottle. Good luck!
Thank you for the help! All the best
how long is fuel good inside that container brother
I have yet to find out! Lol it’s empty
Only because I haven’t traveled far or long enough to find out thankfully. Now I have a Pan America so better equipped on the fuel capacity 😆
Who makes that seat brother?
It’s made by La Rosa
Why not just run a bigger tank? Wouldn't look as cool as pushing an out of fuel motorcycle?
Because the peanut tank is the style. I don’t go on long trips man, ride for a day and go home. No issues here
Can you please link the seat brand?
