ever since I have started watching your channel a couple weeks ago, i’ve seen a drastic change to my beat mastering and over all finalization thanks to you, keep up the dope content 🤘🤘
I learnt mastering from this channel one year ago...and from then on my mixes are topnotch. Infact people to this day still ask me how i muster my songs because it is so good. Thank You Life Style Did It soooo much and God Bless You. This is the best channel in the entire UA-cam where one can learn how to be a Professional Mastering Engineer by far.
Oh yes I can totally agree with the other people commenting. Your channel is different to what these thousands trap producers do here on youtube. You really give good and effective tips, thank you for sharing your knowledge!! We need people that bring quality into this game
Oh my god I didn't knew half time before, but it is a really cool plug-in, and I never thought of using saturation on the master to add harmonics, really good tutorial, thanks for making it
I love ferric tds. Awesome vid as always. One tip, if you create an instrument bus that is separate from your drum bus, you can saturate the instruments apart from the drums. That way you avoid over saturation on the drums and still get that warmth from the instruments and the drums will still be nice and crispy. When you put it on the full mix, you'll notice you'll really only get the saturation off the drums vs. the instruments and won't be able to drive it far enough to get the instruments into the game without ruining the drums.
@@YondoMusic Oh shit, I got Yondo AND LifestyleDidit both responding to my comment...humbling moment! Good seeing you two in DJ Pain 1's live earlier tonight too. Cheers!
This series has been beyond helpful man, appreciate you forsure g! Really helped me take my production and specially my mixing/mastering to the next level.
A little unrelated to this specific video but I see in a recent video that you set your mic input to the mono input setting according to how your mic is set up... *when should/would you adjust the stereo/mono knob on the mixer track where your vocal is recorded? And also in relation to your mix and all individual sounds, what Db range is it best for your vocals to be?*
Hey man. I just wanted to thank you for the work you put in these videos. I've watched hundreds of tutorials on YT on how to mix/master produce and so on. Most of these guys learned everything from tutorials as well, so I really appriciate you telling us about these small details that other people miss out on or didn't even know about.
@@LifeStyleDidIt No, thank YOU my friend. So many out there mumbling and giving useless rehashed "tips," not understanding the DAW, or even just being effeminate and off putting. Props for rising above all that.
If you want a quick and dirty way to add thickness, you can use just a Fruity Fast Distort (say on a drum bus or even master bus depending on the project) with the threshold knob one click up from the lowest setting (play around with post and pre knobs) and you can actually boost the perceived loudness a lot without it sounding "distorted." The plugins in the video are much better I'm sure but Fast Distort can work well and it comes with FL Studio.
Bruh! I just started watching you a few days ago and damn! already on the first vid I watched on mixing 808s and kick was amazing when applied sheesh! I have waves and didn't know about kramer!!!!! New subscriber ....
question, can you use tape saturation & compression on the master channel? Thanks for all your help though bro, can confidently say everyone appreciates it!
First of all , i want to thank you for your great videos , You really add lot of knowledge to my brain wallet , im still learning to ashieve my dream to be a beat maker , unfortuntly in my place no places to learn . Anyway big up bro i really apreciate if u can lead me to where i can learn more about mixing and mastering i will be really thankful , pĺease stay blessed , stay safe .
hey can you do a tutorial on how to master using these tape saturation plugins and a fl maximus. or is using both on the master not a good idea? thank you
Please make a video on correct or recommend sound settings for uploading to you tube and Instagram and why the hell the sound quality dramatically gets reduced..
Would you recommend mixing INTO a saturation plugin or throw it onto your master after you already have your levels set? Also, since the saturation is already doing its own form of compression would you ever still use a compressor like the CLA-76 on the master bus afterward? I suppose the second question is more situational, but I suppose it's worth asking regardless.
Good tutorial bro 🔥 I have a lil question. Let's say I made a typo on my beat title or in description. How do I edit it? I can't find any edit button :)

ThaUce Beatz what’s good, are you referring to my voice overs on my videos? I use obs for that and it’s mono since it’s one mic
Nah i was referring to vocals for a rap/r&b song or just a song in general
This plugins is dope. I put this on drums to get the tempo I wanted. So fire.

That Ferric plugin work on Pro Tools 11?
Can I add tape saturation to a complete track? Or is it gonna mess with the vocals?
Really Rilee you can use it anywhere just use it lightly at first and pay attention to what it’s doing
LifeStyleDidIt ohhh alright thanks bro
Hey lifestyle! Should I use saturation when mixing even if I already use it in the mastering process with Maximus?
Sorry for my English
Samuel Beltrami it’s truly up to you. It can be used in so many ways. Try it and see if you like how it sounds on a mix and go from there!

I like to mix into a little saturation from the beginning
@@LifeStyleDidIt Awesome, thanks for the quick response
Could you replicate the half-time effect with an eq and grossbeat on a separate send channel?
Yes, you could do it that way also, Or you can send it through a Patcher.
Yah, sending sends for certain effects can be a lot easier to shape and tone to your liking. Good thinking!
Prod. Squidd yes! It’s a bit more work but you can
