If I remember correctly, the mongols put a sieged in Diaoyu Cheng/Shan, or the Fishing City/Mountain, and that city should be in Ba(not the farmland part). So basically mongols emperor sieged it for months or years, I can’t recall exactly, and he died there, and the mongol empire split afterwards.
in the first siege of Ba, I was yelling at screen to move the stakes and oil in front where the trebs, as that would be a front line + scorched earth tactic where you can withdraw the treb as soon as the calv gets close. The AI will always frontal charge the treb since you have no polearm units protecting it. Much more efficient in grinding them down to the 10% threshold that could've keep it out of 2nd or 3rd siege.
this has to be one of the most intense episodes of any of your let’s plays in a long time.. almost as good as the shock we got in episode 4 of your play through with MrSmartDonkey

it seems like ji and twin ji are only equipable on Champions and some of the generals that can equip more than their class normally can like Sun Ren, which is a shame because they are so versatile and good on many generals. @ 13:05 you can press backspace to stop the army moving in case you made a mistake. as you could have stopped to asses the situation and decide if you want to retreat or commit to the attack. pretty handy when you go into fog of war enemy land.

It seems like the best way to get duels is to farm rebels. All of them wanted to duel with Liu Zhang. I somehow managed to inherit at Spring 194 with all of the trade-offs and goals complete. I love how you still manage to do a good job considering the not so good RNG.

I mean 10% melee evasion is not much of a combat buff and vanguards are broken right now with their -18 roar so you don't really need them for actual fighting. Just run in there and roar rinse and repeat

Yep playlist detectives can always find out how I am doing in terms of prerecording ;) I mean with about six different series going on right now, prerecording is pretty much a must
When you recall the first general you summon you reset the movement of the other generals in the army that were also summoned this turn. It’s an exploit for getting movement on the turn you summon generals by using a proxy general to recall back so everyone else get movement
I still get him soon though lol I just don't want him as a my heir (so getting him now makes him difficult to keep happy while if I wait closer to the inheritance I don't have to worry about it)
ST you should do a no artillery units campaign since you do use them too much usually and they really make the campaign too easy. (also no units with shields campaign)
In one of the ROTK games both Liu Yan and Gongsun Zan both control a city during the YT start date. Wish CA would do the same for Mandate of Heaven (it should be a miracle for the Zhang brothers to make it to 186) Shi Xie, Kong Rong, Yuan Shao and Zhang Yan should be playable in 182, starting out with no settlements Since 16 is the age of adulthood thanks to a patch Sun Ce should be a playable Vassal Faction in 190 CE. Start out close to Yan Baihu (Lu Bu should be a vassal in both 182 and 190) Likewise Sun Quan, Zhao Yun and Jia Xu should be playable vassals under their respective overlords. Fates Divided is where CA is showing how cheap they are. Less Lords/Factions than 190
@William Ku Your the dumb one. Sun Jian never was an independent faction The Three Founders shouldn't be playable in 182 either Guess you want only three playable leaders by the time of Three Kingdoms. Liu Bei, Cao Pi and Sun Quan 'So much playability' (Sarcasm) 'Players' like you are the reason abusive companies like EA exist. Why CA gets away with Blood DLCs. Loot Boxes and 'Live Service' crap
>Sun Ce should be a playable Vassal Faction in 190 CE. Start out close to Yan Baihu (Lu Bu should be a vassal in both 182 and 190) Pls no. Sun Ce independent in Jiangdong while Sun Jian exists in Jing hurts my soul. I don't think this is CA being cheap at all. I think three kingdoms fans, particularly the Chinese audience, would be horrified at an independent Zhao Yun faction outside of fictional starting date scenarios. I'd rather argue that 194 should have been the default scenario, with Zhang Xiu and Li Jue instead of Kong Rong and Dong Zhuo. This is the hill that I will die on.

Gan Ning starts with the twin marital ji
Dian Wei too I believe
Fan Min clearly cheating by fixing all the towers between battles even though they didnt have a turn to repair the city.

I am confused about the buffs. When I played, I was able to designate the counties for the buffs (example, I constantly renewed a buff for Shu).
I wonder, if you help Ma Teng by event at the beginning with his campaign, is that mean Ma Chao and Ma Dai can come to your court?
someone says it allows your two sons to come back to you, but even in this case, we got them back without the event doing that

@ST FYI: the playlist in the description is for the Cao Cao campaign
oh lol let me fix that
Marital ji is for champions, probably vangs too. It's a spear type weapon.

@Serious Trivia the big suffering 😅
I dont know why I ask this here and now but is there a way to recruit a retinue for an administrator?
just summon your administrator on the field, recruit them a retinue, then recall the group and they will arrive in your commandery by the next turn
How are you getting movement reset when you change captain? Could you explain please?
When you recall the first general you summon you reset the movement of the other generals in the army that were also summoned this turn. It’s an exploit for getting movement on the turn you summon generals by using a proxy general to recall back so everyone else get movement

Is it because vanguards dont have good leading potential? I'm trying one out just to see how beefy I can make him with the buffs.
