The best thing for the PAC is to merge with the MWC. 🤔🤷♂️👊They already have a TV deal. It would be renegotiated, it wouldn't be perfect but it's better than what they have now
The PAC-12 is one school away from dissolving and there is a zero percent chance they don't lose one more school. The PAC-12 is done. I don't understand anyone who says otherwise.
Big Ten already reviewed financials, last year, when Oregon went to Chicago & Washington to New York (lawyers, media, B1G commissioner). Not going to be an equal $$ split for first few years, BUT more than Pac-12 with no media deal (Apple streaming). It does address travel questions, by adding two more west coast colleges. The TV/media with $$ driving the realignments. == SEC now relies on ESPN (part of Disney) for their media $$$. Florida’s legislature/governor DeSantis waging war on Disney, absolutely stupid, for both SEC (Florida) and ACC (Florida State). Politicians and Sports never mix well regarding money.
Those schools will probably go one level down in the future to the FCS the same situation happened with Idaho when the WAC dissolved and they became independent.
The Big Ten started no fire. Nobody forced UCLA and USC to come to the conference with a gun under their head. They made their own decision to come. They are the ones that started the snowball not the big 10 your comments are in accurate.
Bullshit. The Big10 started modern conference realignment when they destabilized the Big12 by having conversations with Mizzou & Nebraska, eventually taking Nebraska & causing Colorado to jump ship too.
They joined the B1G because that’s where the money was. Obviously getting the LA market was huge from the conferences perspective. The 2 LA schools reached out to the B1G first.
The national media is really gonna try and blame the big 12 for taking Colorado and Arizona ( 2 small fish) when the big 10 started it by taking usc, ucla, and likely Oregon and Washington. The financial anchors of the conference
This relatively new pac 12 commissioner Didn’t do a very good job. All this has happened on his watch. Waiting till the 11th hour to make a media rights deal is total BS. I blame him for most of this mess!!
So sad, what a cut through business shame on the big 10. I'm not interested in these superconferences. There's no legitimate rivalries. And the schools are so far away.

Why would the Big 10 even want those two when UVA, UNC, Duke, and GA Tech will be there for the pickings? Who the hell cares about Stanford and Cal? They should just join the Ivy League
@@NoNo-ng9sl Because those schools don't have their media rights to sell until 2036? And also because 1) Stanford and Cal are extremely prestigious schools, 2) they sit in a very large media market and 3) the B1G ultimately (probably) wants six teams on the West Coast.
Here’s how I would fix the PAC12 problem. -Let all the schools jump to whatever conference they want with the exception of Oregon St & Wash. St. -Invite SMU, Rice, Tulane, 7-other schools from the MWC. -Rename the conference to a new name cause the PAC name is dead. Start fresh & new like how the AAC did when they use to be the Big East. -Take the Apple stream deal, it’s better than nothing.
Could the same thing happen. To the Acc that Texas hoped would to the big 12, where if enough schools jump ship at once the conference grant of rights effectively dissolves?

Whoopty doo. Can't wait to see both programs become more irrelevant. More L's are most assuredly coming their way year in and year out. Unfortunately football conference consolidation isn't going to give CFB more parity which it sorely needs. Other than schools getting more revenue, I'm not sure what all this realignment is accomplishing...other than ruining what makes college football unique and diff from the NFL. Because of unfair NIL, a high school draft is needed to bring some real balance and parity back to college football. It hasn't had any for about the last decade.

The Big 10 schools already voted on whether to add Oregon and UDub. They unanimously voted “no.” This is about money. If the networks don’t offer the Big 10 SIGNIFICANTLY more money..:those schools aren’t coming. It’s that easy.
There was never a vote held. Teams weren’t sold on it back then because they didn’t trust Kevin warren and didn’t see a need to do it. No slight to Brett because I think he's one of the better ones, but I'm so tired of this recycled rhetoric. What does a school that does NOT value academics look like and behave like?
