    We caught a bull snake off hwy 108 and took it down to the college. The teacher kept the snake and told me and my brother he would take it back and turn it lose. Don’t think he did. The snake to fear in north Cherokee is the timber rattler. I caught a Pygmy rattler back in the 90s on Henderson Mountain road.

    People here call warersnakes " water moccasins".The word water moccasin should be scraped because water snakes are not venous
