Thank you for this wonderful post. Sublime songwriting and playing. No one has had a career of sustained brilliance such as Neil's. This tour is very bit as good as the great Crazy Horse tours of 1976. Indeed, Neil's guitar playing hasn't sounded so inspired in years. Vintage Young.
It's warm in my apartment, but I have the chills. On the Beach may be my favorite album of Neil's., and he's playing the title track better than ever. Wow! Thanks so much for this post!
Neil was just awesome on this tour was lucky enough to see Neil and Promise of the Real and Bob Dylan when the came to Ireland last month great day hadn't seen Neil since 93 with Crazy Horse he never lost his voice sounds just as good
Thanks very much for filming this so well and putting it up here. This is one of those magic moments that all real Neil Young lovers cherish. Pulling an utterly classic song from an enormous back catalogue and playing it with such beauty and conviction. A truly spellbinding performance.
Cant wait till Sunday when Neil and Promise of the Real are playing in kilkenny Ireland and Bob Dylan and his band should be a great day Neil sure sounds as good as ever last seen Neil in 93 with Van Morrison was a great concert cant wait till Sunday
@@willyhearrell9060 I think we are in for a great day as Neil sounds as good as ever honestly Promise of the Real are just perfect with Neil really looking forward to seeing Lukus and Micah Nelson as Lukus has a great voice and he is a good guitar player the go well together with Neil, not so sure about Dylan as much as I have always loved his music I dont think he is much good on stage anymore unlike Neil I last seen Neil in 93 at Slane along with Van Morrison and Pearl Jam was a great concert had turned 18 the day before where is your ticket for the Pitch standing that's where mine is for I honestly can't wait for Sunday its meant to be the warmest day of the year about 25 degrees so that will make it so much better hopefully all the best hope you have a great day on Sunday
@@jamesgreene4811 I agree. Bob is my favorite by far but from what i've heard... he isn't so good anymore. Neil sounded amazing on the videos i've seen. Still being hopeful.. I am very jealous of you seeing them at Slane! My tickets are also for pitch standing, they seemed the best to me. I prefer walking around a bit. Driving all the way from Kerry so it will be quite the trek. Just worried about finding a place to park the car to be honest. Never been to a concert of this size (or this country as i'm American!) So I have no idea what to expect.
@@willyhearrell9060 Can confirm about Bob! Neil and the band were on fire throughout at Hyde Park however Bob I could understand 1 word in 10, wasn't all that. Still a legend though!
@@willyhearrell9060 hopefully willy we will have a great day to expect yea iv seen it wrote online where there is plenty of car parks so you shouldn't have much problem with parking just make sure you give yourself plenty of time,I'm travelling from Athlone I'm having to get a bus at half 6 in the morning to Dublin so I can get the train to kilkenny leaves Dublin around 9 so I should be in kilkenny for 11 so hopefully that gives me time to grab a hours sleep in the hostel I'm staying in yea the tickets we have for the Pitch standing I think are the best like you said can move around more yea Neil has been great on tour the last two weeks his always been my favourite yea he played in Slane Castle back in 93 I had just turned 18 the day before Van Morrison and Pearl Jam along with one of two others played that day Neil was brilliant with Crazy Horse I think there was about 65000 people there tickets cost 25 pounds at the time how things have changed yea sadly Bob is playing to well anymore I dont think he even plays guitar anymore anyways I'm sure Neil and Promise of the Real will have the crowd rocking that's for sure have a safe journey and I hope you have a great time tmr I know I will ar least the weather is meant to be beautiful so that will be good
A couple of days before this show I requested On The Beach through the NYA. Because it has been rarely played, it is a great song and it happened to be the album of the week then. I will never know if Neil followed my request or that it was just coincidence. Anyway it was really cool that he played this song.
Ha Ha. Having not a ticket for Neil & Dylan at Hyde Park London - I decided instead to travel from UK to go to Antwerp & Amsterdam instead. I was weraring my 'On The Beach' t shirt in Antwerp so I thought he played it for me! And my favourite song 'The Loner' which he rarely does as well. I really was in heaven that night. Plus venue stayed open and you can just relax and enjoy a beer after the gig wait for crowds to dispurse then get on tram that runs late.. In UK you just get thrown straight out and not many ways to get home...
It was an amazing concert, despite Neil leaving most of the greatest hits out of it (this is hard to state as all of his songs are hits, but understand what I mean!). He and the band were so inspired that night! We could feel that all throughout the show and at the end when they made a circle and jumped several times all together, rejoicing. At 73 he´s still mastering everyone...
Dude is 73 and blows everyone else off the stage. Just extraordinary.
One of the greatest songs ever written.
"Though my problems are meaningless.....that don't make them go away........
Thanks so much for filming and sharing with us! This is one of Neil's best songs.

He’s still got every bit of it
Unbelievably good. One of his best songs ever, first time he’d played it in 16 years!
This brought tears to my eyes.Absolutely wonderful ❤
This is a wet dream come true.
Goosebumps all over the place! That record is my fav album of Neil's. Very personal and very good. Timeless :-)

Unbelievable, I could not expect that tune out. Amazing night ! Thanks POTR
This is one of Neil's song that I like the most. And that was a really beautiful performance. I have lived all my life by the sea.
On the beach and Ambulance Blues are some closure to an album. Neil is the best.

Were you the one filming all the songs with a tiny black camera at neck level next to me? If so, you really impressed me! I would have gotten a cramp.
No not me, only did 4 songs
Nice! And who the hell would be running around for a beer during this?! This is a huge bust out!
