No nonsense, straight talk and very informative about what is happening, right now, in the publishing world. Absolutely, insightful. Thank you, Kelly.
You're so welcome. We're glad it helped!
Excellent insights--especially liked your comments at the very end. It is good to see content where the reality of getting traditionally published is not sugar-coated, but you don't inject the "abandon all hope ye that enter here" mindset that hovers in many of these discussions. Thank you for the solid and positive information.
Thank you for your comment! We try to be truthful and encouraging.

Thank you for this! Great information! What genre does channeling fall into? Would I need a platform for that?
It depends on what kind of content you are channeling, but most of these kinds of books are on the self-help or spirituality shelf in the bookstore. Yes, you need a platform.
WAit, why would I want a literary agent and publishing house if the royalties are low and i ultimately won't be the recipient of all my earnings?
Good question! One big benefit is that the publisher pays the costs associated with getting your book out in the world (editing, cover design, interior design, etc). You can learn more about the pros and cons here: knliterary.com/2023/11/02/self-publishing-vs-traditional-publishing/
