Every word you utter is highly critical for the journey of a spiritual writer. You also gave meaning to the spirituality that it means 'helping or enlightening others' 🙏👍
Hi Kelly - this was great - but could you do please do something about ‘workshopping your material’? Ideally with some examples! This idea is new to me, and very intriguing.
Hi Kelly, I've read and studied many spiritual books on my own and with master teachers. I have integrated the basic spiritual teachings into my life and put them into practice. So, I thought about becoming a spiritual writer to help others improve their lives. But when I thought of the consequences of my choice, I realized that this path is not the right path for me as a writer. Your presentation confirms that tonight. Thank You, Kelly; I love all your videos, learned a lot from them. I appreciate your kindness and generosity in sharing this much needed content. In gratitude
Thank you Kelly. This fits why I want to write my book. My experiences, my wonderful experience in my spiritual growth. Now to share with others. Keep me in your prayers. Bless you.
Yikes! Good thing I watched this video, Kelly. That first tip will help me focus less on references to the other authors who inspired this book and more on the core universal concepts and my insights through experience. It's so tempting at first to focus on and rave about our favorite sources!
Incredible video. I learned a new term, "inspirational memoir", which is what I am writing. These tips are amazing and thank you for the video. I realize how much more work I have to do.
When I saw this video in my email, I was both excited and nervous to see it. I have been working on my book for a year now (I am in the HH Writers Community) so I was nervous I would learn I was doing something wrong, did not fit in the criteria, or what ever else may have been discussed in the video. I was very relieved once I watched it! I have met/am meeting all 3 criteria and this has encouraged me even further to get the book completed and out in the world! Thank you for this video as it was exceptionally helpful.
Kelly, your third point hit home for me. I have already written my memoir but I am on my spiritual journey, as you say, and helping others along the way. It was encouraging to be reminded that I need to be in it for the long haul.
Thank you Kelly. You gave me the confidence I need to write my book. I have the three keys necessary to write my book. I have been living it and growing along my journey and have so many personal stories and stories about others I help and continue to help. My life's calling. This is such a fulfilling journey and opportunity.
Thanks for this wonderful advice and as always, your authentic, inspiring energy Kelly! PS-:) I used KN literary for my book proposal and had an amazing editor. Cheers!

This has helped me so much, as a beginner when it comes to this genre, this video has really narrowed my sight. I have already begun with teaching others about my discoveries, and I've always been amazed that these experiences are truly mine, and although it may not help in every situation, I've done very little research on my topics, so although they may not be original, they are mine and I won't be doting on any other guru. I've been seriously practicing my beliefs since 2017, so I'm not quite at my 10 years yet, but I'm definitely on my way!
Very interesting and timely ! I agree-walking the walk and talking the talk is so vital. I like the term transformational non fiction. May I use it in my book proposal?
Hi Kelly, until today I have not really heard the term, spiritual writer. I am a practicing Christian who has been writing devotions on my Facebook page for many years. I have been told by multiple friends that my life story is an incredible inspiration that would bring hope to a wide audience. They have also mentioned that I have a gift when it comes to writing and have repeatedly suggested I write a book or books. I have never written anything as big as a book before however, the desire to do so has been on my heart for a very long time. Recently after almost dying during my cancer journey and seeing the hand of God through out the whole experience it has light a fire within me to share the miracles and healing of God. I have researched a great deal about writing and feel a memoir of my cancer journey would be a good option. I am interested to know if this would be my best route to introduce myself as a writer. Would love your thoughts H.W.

Transformational Non-fiction. You are a great teacher. This was so helpful. I have been helping and teaching what I have learned on my spiritual journey. Seems taking those experiences and putting together a product offer together with workshops will be a more direct way to make money as I am building a following. Chronologically would be easiest, but after a bit might be kind of boring.
Hello Kelly, I just started reading your book, "The Book You Were Born to Write." I'm writing my first book (a spiritual book). I have a question about the first key "The Wisdom Must be Yours." I understand books must be written about my perspective on the topic, however is it okay to read other authors on the subject for quotes or other ideas you may not have thought of. Not sharing their work but gaining more insight on the subject. I hope this makes sense what I'm asking. Also, on the second key, "Workshop Your Book," how does that work? Write a chapter then teach it or blog about it. Or write the book and teach it before releasing it. What does that practically look like. Thank you for these very helpful keys. I enjoy your insight, wisdom and knowledge. I look forward to future videos. Blessings, Ivery
It is ok to read other books in your genre. "There is nothing new under the sun." The key is to use your own perspective and insights. You can find more info on workshopping your book here: knliterary.com/2023/03/13/first-step-to-writing-a-nonfiction-book/
With 30 years of dedicated personal spiritual practice, helping people I encounter daily through wisdom gained on the path, providing intuitive and clarcognizant guidance to so many, taking acquaintance into my home with 40 year drug addictions and having a partner with alcohol dependencies and coming to help both of them through spirituality towards recovery, and personally experiencing the worst possible outcomes and using my method to rise out of it, I am perhaps now being guided to go out there and start my coaching and teaching practice formally for another 10 years to launch my book instead of doing it concurrently, just when I thought It was finally time to step forward? Oh, my, I am definitely quite a bit in dismay. :(
Thank you for sharing. Great motivation to just keep going!!! 💕💕☪️ Sometimes I fear blogging and making videos about content because I want to “save it” for my book. Save no more, I’ll let it flow! ☺️

Hello, I have a completed manuscript and it is a fictional spiritual story that does have a character in the story referencing a spiritual book for another character to read. Are you referring to only nonfiction books?
I have begun to write a memoir on my mother's impact on my faith journey by her example. I went from an innocent child who watched her at prayer to an aww come on, mom, not that story again! (As she shared experiences in her own life) to someone who went through a strong spiritual faith transformation. I am in a mentoring group and feel lost though! I have no idea how to mix the two. I especially don't know how to weave my faith journey through it. I wrote one chapter and had to cut out parts that make it very choppy and I don't know how to fill the story in to add depth. I'm sort of losing interest In continuing now.
Hi Christine! When you get to the "messy middle" of writing a book, it can help to think back to your original motivation. Why did you want to write this book? What message did you most want your readers to get from your story?
If you go to the settings icon on the lower right below the screen and click on Playback Speed, then scroll up from the Normal setting, you can choose .75 or .50 which will slow down the video's audio. :)
how about fiction writting, can you say something about spiritual fiction, i am writting spirityal fiction stories, i think you have much experience can you advice me through spirtual fiction
Wanted to share something weird. I just found out 2 weeks ago I can spiritually write. Which is very cool. But here is the weird part. I keep getting nazi symbols. No clue what to think honestly, all I know is that I get trapped in this moment where I can't stop writing so I've been trying to figure out how to fight it. Thanks for some for advice!

Thanks for your comment. Noted:)
If you go to the settings icon on the lower right below the screen and click on Playback Speed, then scroll up from the Normal setting, you can choose .75 or .50 which will slow down the video's audio. :)

What about channelled writing
There are definitely people who channel while they write!
@@knliteraryarts I'm one of them but was told publishers don't take this material on board. 🙏🥀
@@elizabethbrown8833 It really just depends on the publishers! Our team can help you navigate which ones would be interested in this type of work.
Is it something you can confront as you're writing? What a scary experience!
@@knliteraryarts I just feel a shift in energy when its about to write this symbol.
I am not interested in becoming a teacher. Only in getting my testimony out there to give encouragement. Something I searched for all those years ago.
I believe in you!
Even Wayne Dyer started out self-published, selling books out of his car trunk.
Yes! Self-publishing is a great option!
The problem is being able to have a place to start teaching other than on social media on a fixed income.
You may be to able to volunteer to teach a workshop at your local library or other community centers. If you want to create an online course, Udemy does not charge any fee to create a course (they do take a percentage of course sales). We hope that helps!
